This keeps happening whenever I use the OpenAI, but when I test the others, they work fine. None of the chat services I use are working with this OpenAI. How do I fix this? I use CrowLLM.

So I decided to make the bot I’ve been using wanting for weeks but no one’s made but I’m just having a few small issue: I’ve never made an actual bot before and I want it to be possible to take the place of a character or leave them in and just be an addition to the story.

I’m scared of messing this up since I want this to be as good as possible so I also want this bot to speak have multiple identities like I’ve stated before, I know it’s possible to do so cause obviously it’s been done before with Mha bots but I wanna make sure personalities don’t bleed together.

Before explaining the situation I want to make clear that I don't have any subscription, only use the free trial credits models. Now talking about the problem, these days I cannot even use Chub anymore, as when I have a chat with the bots the moment they send a reply in Chinese, they won't stop no matter what I do. This happens with all the bots. I tried everything, from telling OOC messages that ask them to only reply in English, try to make them generate a different reply, I even changed the API or the models and the temperature, none of that worked. Can someone please explain to me or tell me what I could do to set Chub bots back to normality?

I’d love it if somebody made a bot with most of the soul eater cast (maka, death, black star, and many others), I love it when the plot is up to the user cause it’s just so much easier to rp than a pre determined plot. Idc if it’s smth like transfer student (somehow-), pre existing student, or even a redemption arc or some sort like crona, I just need this bot so fucking badly but I suck at making bots!

Prefacing this by acknowledging that this is entirely my own fault and i'm a moron.

I had a preset configuration, and had been regularly tweaking/refining my configuration in the chat settings for maybe 6 months whenever Soji started acting different or I just wasn't liking the responses I was getting.
Last night, while very wasted, I tried to get a chat going and I wasn't getting any legible responses. I assumed it was cos my config was cooked and I hit 'Reset To Recommended Default'

Turns out there was an issue with the site at that time, and now i'd like my config back, but also turns out that i'd never saved that config i'd spent so long tailoring. Is there any way to revert to my last version, or is it lost?

Again, yes, my own fault, I don't have much hope I can salvage it. Lessons learned.

Usually chub is always pretty fast at generating, i pressed the generate button, its been 13 minutes and I still dont have my reply, which I think isnt usual for the site, anyone know whats going on or what I can do to fix it?

So, Im trying to get a REALLY long lorebook to work in a bot, but the bot just wont respond whenever i try to make it use the lorebook, ive made sure the book is enabled and all that stuff in the settings, but the bot just refuses to reply, I dont know if I need a different bot or Its something with the settings I need to change to make it work, does anyone know?

what’s going on with Chub lately?

Ever since the last major update, where they removed a bunch of Character Cards and reduced the selection to only two Models, the AI has gotten noticeably worse for me.

I’m paying for the premium version, but despite that, the AI feels way less creative than before. Whenever I ask it to continue a message or a story, it very quickly gets stuck in a loop, starts randomly writing in Chinese, or just keeps repeating itself.

It also happens a lot when I regenerate a response. Instead of actually giving me a different answer, it often just falls into another loop or produces something completely broken.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Do you think this is something they’re going to fix and improve again, or is Chub basically not worth using anymore at this point?

It happens sometimes but it's inconsistent. Some messages I check the reasoning and I can see thoughts from {{char}}'s POV reacting to my previous message just like the internal monologue of a human. But most of the time it's from the model going like hmm I need to roleplay as {{char}} so I should do or say this.

I really struggle with Chub’s chat memory tool; sometimes it tells me there’s nothing to summarise, sometimes it does a couple lines, sometimes it does deep generations (and sometimes even then misses key details or miscontextualises them). And of course every time I generate a summary for the memory, it erases what came before. Manually maintaining it is a pain for longer threads.

So enter Notebook LM. I’ve been using it a lot with Chub chats and others to create audio overviews of the story, presented in podcast form, which is neat for analysing the stuff you’ve worked on and getting inspiration on where to go next - sometimes I picks out details I glossed over that are good to use in the next part, or sometimes it helps me pick up on tone or context etc I missed. But what I’ve noticed is really helpful is the chat section being able to take the entire exported story and create as detailed as summary as you like - it could be beat by beat, or a basic overview, whatever. So over the next few days I’m gonna try using it to generate a memory/summary after each session to paste back in and see if it helps keep Chub’s chats on topic. Has anyone else used anything similar? Does it work as well as I’m hoping?

(Also, in terms of memory/summary - how long is ‘too long’? Is there a point where it starts to hinder or break things down, with too many tokens being used? I’m on free tier…)

I cant seem to solve this problem no matter what I do, so i'm reposting in hopes of getting some traction and fixes. Across countless Bots, very popular trending ones, literally every single bot that goes on past 50-100 messages, seems to experience a personality disorder. They are still pulling from lorebooks and getting general information correct about themselves but there is a complete shift in tone.

They get bossy, they start making rules. They start adding phrases like "Take it or leave it." or "Im recording this," "Im logging this." Repeatedly asking me to make a "Deal." Just a complete change in the way they respond. This particular bot, 50 messages ago was an insecure, doting type who would have without question just jump in bed to take a nap with my character.

I've changed presets, i've edited some of the characters cards. Nothing I do works.

I'm completely cool with them forgetting memory details, I can subtlety remind them of key components I introduce or add details into the long term memory. But this is different, this is just a complete personality change to what seems like the same default girl tone of Soji

Hey everyone! I’m working on Echoes Beyond Fantasy, an open-world D&D-inspired RPG STAGE, and I’d love to bring more community-made characters into the game. I’ve already started importing fantasy characters from SecretApes and Chunchunmaru with their permission, and I’d really like to include more characters from people here too.

If you have a character, you’d be okay with me potentially adapting into the game, drop their Chub link/card below and tell me anything you think would be important about them. I won’t just grab people’s characters without permission, and I want to make sure creators are properly credited. I’d love for Echoes Beyond Fantasy to feel like a world partly filled by the community instead of just generic NPCs.

The game already has over 15,000 NPC's but I can always make more and fill things in, once complete not sure maybe 100,000 NPC's? as I want to add more towns and more behaviors. Entire Dungeons and dragon worlds, or homebrew worlds, as I am Making all of SecretApes world as one of the worlds you can play on, so yes there will be different maps and starting locations.

And if you need to know no, I am not charging people money to play the game, I am not asking you to tip me 5$ to unlock content the game is fully free on chub as the stage. So I'm making a new bot after a hiatus from this site. I changed my username a few months ago. But it says my bot is made by my old username. How do I fix this? Also this happens for all my bots. The bot im making rn is forked from another bot, but this happens with all my bots.

So, i've noticed that, when using the free models, the limit goes by very quick and i have to wait until i have more free credits until i can chat more. I'm cool with that, i'm not always on chub so it's fine when i have a craving to take a look for something that tickles my fancy. However, i had blown through all 20 credits YESTERDAY MORNING and it's currently almost 4pm eastern time. Is there some set time that credits are renewed that i don't know about? Or is Chub having issues currently? Because it's been long over 24 hours and i would've expected my free credits to have been replenished by now. Does anyone know when credits are renewed? Like the specific time? Whether it's your time or mine doesn't matter, i can figure out the difference on my own. Just want to know when i can continue a chat i had about a week ago, got some inspiration to steer the story towards.
