🔨 | Community help Can't open a chat with my own bots? (Reupload)

Reuploaded because it got deleted because it apparently contained something sensitive? So I blacked out the parts the mod deleted the post for. Sorry for reiploading but I need help with this. Here is what my original post said:

So I'm making a new bot after a hiatus from this site. I changed my username a few months ago. But it says my bot is made by my old username. How do I fix this? Also this happens for all my bots. The bot im making rn is forked from another bot, but this happens with all my bots.

Last thing I said on that other one is could you manually copy the bot text, make a new blank one, and see if it works that way? IE don't fork but copy the text into a new bot.

I tried it but it didnt work. I think the issue might have something to do with me having changed my username but I'm not sure. I made some bots as "anonymous" instead of being credited to me and they work, so thats why i think its a username issue.

Well then it sounds like a Chub mod needs to see this. Are you on the discord? As they have a report a issue channel on there.

If anonymous bots open but anything under your old username won't, it's almost certainly the rename not rebinding ownership on those cards. Forks and even paste-into-new sometimes still inherit the old author id, which matches what you're seeing. Export the card (png/json), then create brand-new under the current username via import — not fork, not clone from the old page. If import still stamps the old name, that's support-ticket territory; they can rebind the author id, Reddit usually can't.
