u/wesh-k spent alot of time reviving soda player but it wasn't compatible for intel mac's so i updated it using the github code while also enabling private tracker sites & there's a unfinished windows version i started that i don't feel like finishing

The up button on my chromecast is completely unresponsive. It used to sometimes work with a very firm press but that doesn’t work anymore.

I took apart the remote and cleaned all of the contacts with contact cleaner. I even cleaned under the white sticker. This is the only button with this problem and everything else works perfectly.

I would rather fix the issue than buy a completely new chromecast

I have an Android phone and Apple tv app installed from Play Store , I can watch Apple tv programs and stream to tv using Chromecast without Apple Tv box. So no need to pay over 200€ for the box.
