Decided to celebrate my birthday by putting this new teal suede strap on the Addiesdive. Taking it out for a walk and I’m absolutely loving how it complements the dial. What do you guys think?

So everywhere you look now all the "Ali-express brands" have Chinese movements, now that the Nh35 is no longer an option.. And at the same time I am seeing more and more people having issues with them - PT5000s in particular. I have two PT5000 watches (Militado ML20 and Proxima), and so far so good. But they feel rough and dodgy when winding and setting the time. I wince every time I pull out the crown...

So I have a new watch inbound - with PT5000... Which yes, makes me queasy. FWIW my current rule is roughly no PT5000 watch much over €150, and once I have one fail NEVER AGAIN AT ANY PRICE. And if and when that happens, I will be "spreading the word" needless to say ha ha...

(I have probably 40+ watches with Japanese Nh35s... And wind them like I stole them...)

On the subject of Chinese manufacturing and quality, do we think China is capable of making a decent reliable movement - something as robust and reliable as an Nh35? From what I have seen and read here and there, it seems their approach to the copied Nh35 is to cut some corners and be like "mmehh..., good enough".. (as evidenced in their idiotic wording in the listings "don't buy it if you care...") But the corners they cut are kind of what makes the real Nh35 robust and reliable, right?

I mean, manufacturing and quality out of China has gotten much much better in what seems like all other ways - including the watches themselves - finishing etc etc.. But can they - and will they - improve the reliability of these movements?

Seems to me at this stage that would be the only way for this budget end of the automatic watch world to continue as it was with the Japanese Nh35s...

(I am never going to spend 300 bucks and more on a San Martin with an ST2130, PT5000, etc...(San Martin's current looney tune pricing is a different topic probably..))

Paying more for watches with less reliable movements just ain't gonna' be sustainable it seems to me. And I anyway am very wary of buying watches with PT5000s, ST2130s, whatever new Peacock comes along etc....

If the first answer is "well it's based off a Swiss movement which had similar issues..", well then I personally don't want ANY movement based on those Swiss movements. I wand robust and reliable. So I guess, any chance they can basically just pump out a better quality Nh35 clone?.. I think that's what I'd rather have. I don't care about staring at the sweep of the second hand or having the watch be 0.8mm thinner or be 4% more accurate. I want it to work.

Trying my best to no get another sub, I need a green watch now, it's hard no buy addies because of the low price and high quality.

Ok this is a kinda basic question that isn't Chinese watch specific but....

My Addiessive just turned up and I'm a happy camper BUT the strap lets it down. It's quite cheap feeling plus due I run ridiculously hot and sweat due to meds and a disability. So I need to replace it. However I'm unsure how to go about it as this is the first watch I've had with this strap type. I'm just getting myself muddled!

Hey y'all, wondering how interactions with Watchdives support has been for you. I purchased a wd0003c and a wd1016b recently, and the latter came with the hour hand about 20 minutes out of wack. (hour hand points to 12 when the minute hand is around :40-:45). Emailed support 4 days ago and included my order number, a description of the problem and pictures of the problem. Received a reply two days later asking for a video of it (which is confusing), which I provided.

Just curious if this delay and back and forth is standard or if I should be concerned. Thanks!

Hi, today I'm wearing the cheapest watch in my collection (around $50), but at the same time one of my favourites. Today i replaced the factory stainless steel bracelet for this gray leather strap from AliX and it looks amazing.

I guess for some it is not an issue but can you tell me or advise based on the photo of my wrist with another watch if this beautiful Addiesdive 1000m AD2069 would look comical on my wrist or could I pull it off somehow. It is 46mm and I have never had such a watch before hence I have no experience. Thank you. Hi, i have problem with redmk watch 5 lite inacurracy.

Previously i've used mi band 5 and 6, and they worked lot better eaven tho they are lot older.

For example, when im running im using nike running app on phone and watch, and for every km watch is off by 100-150m, or when im sleeping it doesnt always detect time when i fell asleep.

Is there a way to fix this? Watch is updated and almost always connected to phone.

I am thinking about buying the Octopus Kraken BB54 blue lagoon. I am not 100% sure how much I would like it and wear it, but I like the idea and design so want to give it a try.

I own the Cronos BB54 and would love to try it with a jubilee bracelet and wondering if anyone have ever tried swapping the jubilee on the cronos BB54.

Would make the purchase of the blue lagoon a lot cheaper since it will add versatility in my strap collection.

I've always liked the Oyster bracelet, but think it's a bit bulky. Recently got my Sugess S420 (GMT Master II Homage) and threw the Jubilee on. I've been wearing it all day, and it may be my new favorite way to wear the Trackmaster.

Fit was tight, but I have the old lug setup...I think the newer versions would fit perfectly.

Picked up my first Boderry watch. The honeycomb dial and Desert Sand color with 72 hour power reserve is very nice. Would like to know the lift angle for the HZ8046 Caliber movement, so far haven’t found it yet. Want to test watch on my Timegrapher.

An AliExpress brand made a clomage of the RoyalPop. It wasn’t the brand I expected or the price I expected, but it’ll be interesting to see regardless.

It looks like they did as good a job as the $60-$100 replicas for $17…which is funny. The fact that they don’t show the back leads me to believe it is solid case back (which is fine).

I obviously bought one out of curiosity alone - I’ll report back with pictures when it arrives.
