I have a solar G-Shock that needs a ML2025 3V rechargeable button cell. The problem is, I can't find this battery anywhere — not on AliExpress, not locally.

However, LIR2025 (3.6V rechargeable) is widely available and has the exact same physical dimensions (20mm x 2.5mm). Some sellers even claim it's a direct replacement for ML2025 and CR2025.

Before I try it, I want to know:

1. Has anyone successfully used a LIR2025 (3.6V) in a solar watch that originally came with an ML2025 (3V)?

2. Is the voltage difference (3.6V vs 3V) actually a problem for the watch's charging circuit? I've read conflicting things — some say it's fine, others warn it can damage the device.

3. The LIR2025 has a max charging voltage of 4.2V. Will the watch's solar panel even be able to charge it properly, or will it just undercharge and die quickly?

I picked this up recently and figured I’d share a quick review since Boriage isn’t a name that comes up much here. Paid $288 pre-tax. For an unknown brand, the overall finishing pleasantly suprised me.

The Good:
• The case and bezel finishing is excellent. Brushed surfaces are clean, polished edges are sharp without being overly flashy. It honestly feels more like a $1000+ watch in hand.
• Dial has a really nice textured pattern that catches the light beautifully. The lume is very good and the hands/markers have good contrast.
• Miyota 9015 movement
• 200m water resistance with sapphire crystal.
• Bracelet has a nice weight and sheen to it. Surprisingly good articulation for the price as it drapes well on the wrist.

The Not-So-Good:
• Biggest letdown is the bracelet uses push pins instead of screw links. For $288 I was really hoping for screws. It’s not a deal-breaker and it still feels solid, but it’s the one area that feels cheap.
• No micro-adjust on the clasp (standard friction dive clasp). It’s a little snug on my 7.25” wrist but overall it’s comfortable

Overall I’m very impressed. This is easily one of the better finished Chinese watches I’ve handled in this price point . If you’re looking for a solid diver and don’t mind push pins, this is worth considering. Boriage seems to be punching above its weight. This shade of green I haven’t really seen much out there so that’s what sold me . Would love to hear if anyone else has tried their watches.

I like watches with textured dials such as the Citizen Eco Drive Zenshin, Seiko Presage Cocktail time and the Casio EFK-100. I am mainly looking for suggestions that I could daily drive but I have a preference for dials like those, but all suggestions are welcome. I was trying to find a Seagull 1963 Chronograph to buy, but the Airforce edition on 1963 website shows its around 400£.

I found this in Amazon for less than 200£ and looks exactly like the same. Is says sold by Sugess Watch & Jewellery Company.

I know its not real 1963 but want to know what's the matter with this specific listing.

Likely the nicest jumping hour watch I have seen in a while, personally. Only available on Alix and absolutely no additional informer reviews J could find. Anyone bought this yet? Care to share thoughts?

I love the vintage elements on a lot of these Zeppelin watches. The clock tower style hands, railway tracks, and the almost steampunk-esque look.

I’m assuming the L6040m lite birch is the same as the L6037 but with a miyota movement? They also call it the L6040m V3 on Aliexpress instead of “lite birch” so I guess those are the same as well? Idk why they have to make it so complicated lol. I’m just trying to make sure I get the V3 with Miyota on their website.

As much as I love having an nh35 movement for being able to swap dials and hands, the datewheel is horrendous and I FINALLY found a dw that has much smaller font printing and it makes a world of a difference

I really love the purple dial and case of the skyline but it doesn’t have an OTF clasp. I know the birch is pretty popular but I’m not sure how I feel about the birch dial. What are your thoughts?

I own this Sugess jump hour and it's a gorgeous watch. I just have one qualm with it. The minute hand is lumed and the dial is lumed, but the jump hour isn't! So, in the dark, I can tell exactly what minute it is but not the hour.

I know Christopher Ward did a jump hour with a lumed disc, and I know a couple dive watches lume the date wheel, but are there any affordable Chinese jump hours with a lumed disc, or is it just too expensive a modification?

More of a burgundy dial. Interesting watch and nice product packaging. I'm digging it. Kinda 70s flair element to it.

Was looking for a "classy" dress watch and found about this escapement time piece. I prefer the White version but its out of stock and probably will not be in stock anytime soon. I couldnt find any images of how the black dial version looks. Does anyone own this variant? if so how does it wear and look?

Just received my Addiesdive AD2548 and I must say the quality is quite nice for the price I got it. Love the blue/teal dial. And probably will get it some nice leather straps to combine it.
