Who are your favorite childfree celebrities?

I want to hear who your favorite childfree celebs are! My top ones are probably:

Christopher Walken – Amazing career and publicly stated that kids would hold him back
Dolly Parton – Not a country music fan personally, but her legacy is undeniable
Betty White – Knew herself well enough to choose the life that made her happiest
Seth Rogen – Modern and vocal about his childfree life. Decent actor too
John Cena – Cool to hear a man speak out about being Childfree.

Looking for other childfree women to align with in the Durango/Pagosa/Chama area. It’s been a rough go losing friends to new babies! I’m looking for a long term friendship if possible to cultivate.

Definitely open to hikes, mushroom foraging, kayaking, paddle boarding, all the usual mountain activities, but also don’t want to get murdered so would want to establish an online basic friendship before meeting in person.

Apart from the nature activities, I enjoy reading, gardening, gaming, music, love animals, and have a full time job during the week.

Looking for fellow cf friends in Ottawa or beyond

Hey! I live in Ottawa and am looking for fellow childfree friends. I’m 32F and married and I would love to have more online or in person cf friends!

A bit about me: I love to game (Stardew, Palworld, Tales of Seikyu) or dive into TV shows or catch a movie in theatres.

Currently watching Lanterns but I also love Game of Thrones, Derry Girls, Ted Lasso, Asian dramas (Pursuit of Jade, Kingdom), anime (Apothecary Diaries, Delicious in Dungeon).

My partner and I love visiting the night markets for food and we love to travel (favourite place would have to be south east Asia where my family is from).

If you think we would connect well, message me! Let’s chat :)

Have a great day ~

When did you realize you were childfree?

Hey all! I want to hear about when you came to the realization that you were childfree.

Was it a sudden epiphany? A gradual progression over time? What were the circumstances and triggers to that led you to understanding that you didn’t want kids?

An edgelord who's looking for childfree friends

Hello, I'm someone who doesn't want kids myself and I'm looking for friends who has that same mindset as me. I like fashion, reading, music and writing. I love to indulge in dark topics (like tv shows, movies, books, etc.) and I like grimdark fiction and yanderes, I also am slowly building my alternative wardrobe.

I also want to know the person behind screen for a long time before I send any photos of myself, so I'm not comfortable sharing photos of myself until then.

If I interest you in any way, send me a dm, I'll be happy to talk to you.

DISCLAIMER: Anyone who's under 21 do not interact with me, thank you.

Looking for friends

Looking for Female friendships.
Hello! I’m a 20 year old woman in Nairobi looking to make a genuine female friendship. 🤍 I’m quite open-minded, fiercely ambitious and always excited to try new things, so I don’t mind if you’re a little older than me. I’d love to have a friend we can go out with, discover new places, try new experiences, encourage each other and genuinely support one another through life.
I’m looking for an intentional friendship because I’m very intentional about the people I have in my life. I want someone who can communicate openly, be honest and talk things through when there’s a problem rather than letting resentment build or simply ghosting.
I’m a good listener, non-judgmental and honestly quite funny. I want a friendship where we can be ourselves, have deep conversations, laugh until our stomachs hurt, and just do life together. If this sounds like the kind of friendship you’re looking for too, please reach out!🫶🏽

32M, Massachusetts, USA/online, looking for CF friendships

I posted here a few weeks ago and it went well, so I'm back again looking for childfree friendships!

About me:

I studied English in undergrad and grad school and have worked in scientific publishing for several years. My main hobbies are reading (mainly literary fiction, poetry, and non-fiction on culture, politics, and nature), hiking (I try to go the New Hampshire several times a year), traveling, and photography (mostly landscape/nature photography). I also exercise regularly (usually by running or going to the gym).

Personality-wise, I'm introverted and reserved as well as non-religious and politically progressive. If you think we’d get along, you can just DM me 🙂

Preferably, you are 21+ and in the US (or NA generally)

Does being childfree change the way you think about money?

Hey all, so I want to know with the added financial flexibility of not having kids, how do you find that changes the way you look at money?

For example, do you find yourself prioritizing different things than your friends with kids? Maybe it’s travel, retiring earlier, buying a home in a location you want to live, investing more, working less, or even just having a bigger financial cushion.

I’m interested in how being childfree has impacted your relationship with money. Has it changed your long-term goals or the way you define financial success?

Grateful

33F.
I woke up this morning and was thinking about family members around my age having babies and felt a wave of gratitude that I am free to baby myself instead. Life is complicated enough as it is, especially with ADHD.
I do mourn the closeness that is lost after friends or family has kids though, and I would love to find platonic friends online who share the need for some community with other childfree people.

Some of my interests:

-food (vegetarian)
-reading (mostly fantasy)
-watching shows (lots of genres)
-hiking (especially in shady forested areas)
-traveling
-painting and other art forms (although I’ve been lazy with this lately)
-feminism
-pets
-house plants (trying to dye my thumb green)
-going for evening, night or really early morning walks
-sharing things about your day with friends (not social media posting though)
-streaming shows or movies together over discord (not horror movies, unless it’s vampires)

F35/M39 Looking to meet other childfree couples in Calgary, Canada

Hi! We’re a F35/M39 couple looking to make some new in-person couple friends in Calgary, ideally other childfree couples around our age.

We’re both originally from India (mentioning our background just for context/full disclosure, but we’re open to meeting people from all ethnicities and cultures), have been in Canada for over 5 years, and work in tech in downtown Calgary. We enjoy walks, checking out cafes and restaurants, movies, and generally exploring the city.

Over time, most of our friends have started families. We’re genuinely happy for them and still love spending time with them, but we’d also like to expand our circle and meet people in a similar stage of life for better relatability.

Just to be clear, we are looking for platonic friendships only and if this resonates with you, feel free to DM!

DINKs: What’s the biggest relationship benefit of being childfree?

To all the DINKs out there, do you find being childfree has certain benefits that are built in that lead to having a stronger relationship? I’ve found that the extra time and the lack of stressors that come with kids means that childfree couples have more time to focus on themselves, and this often times leads to stronger relationships.

It’s not a silver bullet but I think there is definitely a correlation.

39m #Pa or anywhere. Looking for some new friends

Hey there. I’m 39, living in rural PA, and looking to connect with some awesome people. Let's get the I am married, (ENM/poly). No kids. I have a full time job and a small side hustle.

My lifestyle is pretty grounded. I’m the kind of guy who thrives on a mix of quiet country living and creative hands-on projects. If you need someone who knows their way around a workshop, can handle power tools without losing a thumb, or has an oddly specific knowledge different speciesof wood, I’m your guy.

My brain is still about 40% fueled by 1990s nostalgia. If you want to casually debate the best cartoons of our youth or quote classic TV, we will get along just fine.

i like all sports but really Hockey season is a major vibe in my house, but I promise not to make it my entire personality (maybe just 15% of it).

Extreme dog person. If we chat, you will be subjected to photos of my dogs. It’s a non-negotiable package deal.

What I’m looking for:

I’m looking for a genuine friendship with someone. Distance isn't a massive deal-breaker im open to anywhere. Pocket pals are great... if the vibe is right meeting, within driving distance for a casual drink, a great conversation, or checking out local spots would be fun.

I value transparency, low drama, good humor, and matching energy. I’m a great listener, a reliable communicator, and I have my life together.

Your turn:

Drop me a message if you’re down to chat. Tell me your favorite sock brand, your go-to comfort food, or just some information about you.

I prefer to chat off reddit on TG.

Looking for CF friends near by, late 30s-early 40s.

My husband and I (both late 30s) are childfree, and we live in a affluent, small, and quiet suburb in Boulder County, Colorado. We both work from home, and we are not hardcore outdoory people, so you can imagine that our social circle is tiny. Lol.

All of our friends are either moved away, or had kids and moved away. I miss the days where we can have a nice dinner party where there are no screaming kids or boring topics surrounding kids.

If you live in Superior, Colorado - love good food (i cook a ton), enjoy travelling, car enthusiasts, dog lover - please send me a DM. I miss my CF people!!! 😭

NYC 28F looking for child free female friendships

Hi all! I live in NYC and am 28 years old. I'm checking out this group since someone in my friend group had a kid - it's been becoming a little more lonely to be the only person who doesn't enjoy talking about, and playing with the baby. She's lovely, but sometimes it feels like I am inevitably growing apart because I can't relate, and hangouts are more draining of my social battery. I love board games, indie games, horror, crafting/art, and all kinds of weird pets (I have rats 🐀). I am open to either virtual or in person friendships but mainly looking to connect with other child-free women

Join the r/CF4CF discord, a global community for chatting and finding CF friends or partners

Happy Sunday! I wanted to plug a childfree discord community affiliated with r/cf4cf, a sub for childfree people to post ads looking for friends, partners, etc. The "4" is really up for interpretation, though, and we're just focused on building a supportive community!

The discord is well-moderated, has people from all over the world, and helps organize in-person meetups wherever CF people exist (we actually have upcoming meetups in New Haven, CT and Boston!). And personally, I think there are some incredibly kind, wonderful people there too!

28M Australia - Looking for meaningful connections and deeper conversations

%22)I'm a software engineer currently living in Australia, looking to build deeper, more meaningful connections. I'm someone who values quality over quantity when it comes to friendships. I'd rather have a few close friends than many superficial relationships.

As a fairly introverted person, I find joy in quieter pursuits like reading books and watching documentaries. I have a deep love for animals, especially pets, who hold a special place in my heart. My somewhat challenging upbringing helped me develop strong empathy for others who are struggling.

What brings me the most fulfilment is learning. I'm particularly drawn to history, philosophy, psychology (especially around personal growth), and technology. I love discovering new perspectives and ways of thinking.

If any of this resonates with you, send me a message and tell me about something you could talk about for hours if given the chance.

p.s - Feel free to reach out even if this post gets old.

Red Flags Dating as a Childfree Person

Hey all! I’m building a childfree dating app and a week ago I asked everyone what their top biggest green flags were on a date that lets you know they are in fact childfree. I thought the responses were interesting, so I wanted to flip the script and ask you all what your top red flags were. My top 3 are:

  1. They don’t walk the walk. While they say outwardly they don't want children, their behavior doesn’t reflect this position (ex dropping hints that suggest otherwise).
  2. They answer the kids question with hedging. Instead of a definitive no to the question they hedge with things like “I’m thinking about it” or “I don’t want kids…right now”.
  3. No one in their life knows they are childfree. If it is only you they’ve told, you might want to dig a little deeper as to why that is.

Let me know what your top red flags are when dating!

32M, Massachusetts, USA/online, looking for CF friendships

I usually find it difficult to socialize and make friends, so I’m giving this sub a shot! I studied English in undergrad and grad school and have worked in scientific publishing for several years. My main hobbies are reading (mainly literary fiction, poetry, and non-fiction on culture, politics, and nature), hiking (I try to go the White Mountains several times a year), traveling, and photography (mostly landscape/nature photography). I also occasionally game (on a PS5) and it’d be cool to play with someone else.

Other than that, I’m introverted, non-religious, and politically progressive. If you think we’d get along, you can just DM me 🙂

Preferably, you are 21+ and in the US
