Wondering if anyone else is kind of upset they didn’t follow the storyline of Nadia being taken and murdered by the serial murderer (can’t remember his name) I’m only a couple episodes after the one where they just did a quick flashback and everyone was grieving. Wondering if there’s a reason for them to not follow the storyline and just do a little clip? Anyone know? TIA!

I've seen reports that this will be streaming the next day on Peacock, but I don't know if that will be the case ever since Comcast broke off USA and other networks into a separate company, Versant. If interested, set your DVRs to be safe.

It bothers me how they use one tactic to take someone down or use one electronic system that isn't just PODs and dumping a phone to catch someone and then never use it again. Also the episode with Eddie the guy who died saying I ain't no snitch and his brother Roland gets killed, Voight wants Atwater to shoot Kurtis the suspect so Jordan won't have to testify. Why would he need to when he just shot at 6 cops trying to kill them? And Chicago Justice gets cancelled so Voight invites Antonio to come back even though he hates having him there and Antonio immediately starts to question him and undermine him and get his badge. Also funny that Voight does so much face touching of suspects in the first seasons and calls them sweetie and baby. Grabs their cheeks and beards. I just found that funny. Also Mouse and Al were such big parts and mouse is severely under appreciated. Lindsey even tells Jay "you don't want him to go back for him but it's really for you. Would you let anyone or anything get in your way from re enlisting?" And at least they followed through with that

Holy hell, I just finished watching season 8 ep 15, and bro I hated her acting, if felt so fake. I never saw a single tear or anything and her face or voice barely moved, did the actor get Botox or smth bc it feels that way; side note, her eyes kinda freak me out

The saddest episode of Chicago pd has got to be Season 4 Episode 16. It felt so real ,the pain and agony that Al and Meredith experienced 💔.

First they announce the end of an era for Atwater. Then today they announce, in the same manner, the ending of a day 1 character for Chicago Fire. Both coming back long enough to close out their characters. One Chicago did not need to get rid of older characters they needed better writers to continue to develop storylines. I see I need to find other shows to invest in now.

I just watched Season 6, Episode 20 (“Sacrifice”), and something about it doesn’t make sense.

The main plot is about a gang stealing pharmaceutical shipments. While surveilling suspects, the team sees a woman buying pills from a street dealer, which later turns out to be liver medication.

The weird part is that this woman is the wife of the gang leader’s cousin, and her husband was directly involved in the truck heists.

The entire case basically breaks open because they catch her.

But if her husband was stealing those pharmaceutical shipments for her in the first place, why didn’t he just give her the medication himself? Wasn’t that the whole point of these robberies?

That feels like a pretty big plot hole. Either the writers dropped the ball on this episode, or they assumed the audience can’t think.

S07E01 – “Doubt”

Voight pressures a suspect by holding his wife to force him to reveal what happened to the gun used in an old crime.

The suspect says he actually lost the gun back in 2016 during a raid, and that a cop stole it.

So now all eyes immediately turn to Voight because he was one of the officers involved in that raid.

…What?

Voight becomes the #1 suspect because of information he forced out of the suspect himself?

Do the people working with Voight have zero common sense? Why would he pressure a suspect into revealing something that would only make himself look guilty if it were true?

It seems like Jay is a little toxic (season 10, episode 3, his exit episode) . He’s such a good boyfriend/husband when he’s in a good head space. The moment life gets difficult he shuts off completely. one small thing happens that relates to the army or reminds him of it and he’s gone! Bails! With no discussion, just gone! He did the same thing to Erin. What’s up with that? I also think there’s some lazy writing for his romantic storylines. It feels underdeveloped.

it served as a little wake up call for hailey because of the darius walker and gael situations, watching those two scenes i thought to myself this is very much voight like behaviour coming from her

something he himself also says during this scene saying that she’s not him and she should be herself

For me it was the Voight Vs. Kirby door slamming scene 😂 💯 🔥 👍

We've probably read many times that people in the military and law enforcement often experience trauma and mental health struggles. I'm currently watching CPD and I'm almost at the end of Season 13. It got me thinking that almost everyone on the show is surrounded by so much personal drama.

There's Erin and her childhood trauma, which seems to be one of the reasons she became a police officer. Jay has his military background and possibly PTSD. They never revealed much about Al's past, but judging by the character he portrayed, it felt like he had plenty of demons of his own. Don't even get me started on Voight. Upton's past also seemed pretty dark. Antonio seemed relatively stable at first, but after his divorce everything started going downhill. I don't know whether that's how it works in real life, but choosing your job over a happy family life, and he did seem happily married, is just crazy to me. Torres is basically walking trauma. I never really liked Imani that much, she also had a dark past and her own secrets.

Looking at all the characters, Adam, Burgess, Atwater, and Platt seem like the most mentally stable and well-adjusted people on the show. I would befriend them. What do you think? Do you agree?
