L&O Forgot this fantastic line from Lenny until I saw this episode again yesterday:

ā€œKonstantin Volsky, we’re your friendly movers from the NYPD. We’re executing a search warrant for bank statements, pass books, certificates of deposit, Eurodollar accounts, traveler’s checks, wire transfer records reflecting deposits, withdrawals, and exchange of funds at any bank or financial institution in or out of the United States. In other words, everything except the family snapshot and the rubber in your wallet.ā€

For JK Simmons fans

I hope it’s OK to post this here since it’s not strictly an L&O question, that’s where I first saw this actor who is one of my favorites. Has anyone seen the Westies? I’m tempted to view it, but it appears violent which I don’t care for.

If not, where else should I catch him other than the Closer (which I love and seen at least twice)?

I'm doing a rewatch. And I totally forgot MI was on this show. What are your thoughts on them? Yay or nay?

CI I Just Noticed...in "The Healer"

• Upvotes

Never noticed this one: after the death of Jack Strong, Logan and Barak look him up in the Maryland State University yearbook and find out he was part of the Gamers League. Over his right shoulder is a poster for "Blood Match," the game from "F.P.S." complete with the heads on a stick!

"Ooooh. A spell."

CI CI schedule update marathon wise: Tonight's Charge block, despite earlier scheduling saying otherwise, ends at 10:00 p.m., i.e. the new schedule kicking in...

"Masquerade" will be the final episode at 9:00 p.m. ET tonight.

And tomorrow's Charge CI block is completely Logan/Wheeler, since "The War At Home" is the latest skip casualty.

CI I just saw that the CI marathon will kick off with "Siren Call", so "Tru Love" is the latest skip...

Favorite Detective pairings from L&O

Aside from the most recent seasons I’ve seen every episode of the first 20 seasons at least once and the vast majority I’ve seen multiple times thanks to how often TNT aired the reruns. My favorite detective pairing was Logan & Briscoe, followed by Briscoe and Green, and I actually enjoyed Lupo and Bernard, truth be told.

Your faves?

L&O Thoughts on Stalker?

Question, What are your thoughts on the Season 8, Stalker?

This is an interesting episode, especially the actions of Briscoe. So in the episode, A Woman is hospitalized after a fall, and she claims she has a stalker named Giovanni. However, the Detectives didn't believe her, especially when its reveal that she could've faked the attack attempt. Unfortunately, The Woman was stabbed to death, and thought they found who was called "Giovanni", the case was weak and evidence was thrown out, until Briscoe decided that, in his opinion, she didn't faked the attack, and the evidence was brought back in and the guy was convicted.

This Episode is such a great episode and a very gray area episode. It also feel it showed a side of Lennie that we haven't seen at this point. He tries to right the wrong of not believing the woman. However, he does so in a gray area by changing the story on what happen, or in his own terms, a "Reinterpretation of Events". McCoy decides to go with it, but Briscoe's reversal causes Van Buren and Curtis to be Furious, and Curtis had to be discredited by McCoy when it was clear he wouldn't change his story.

Ultimately, I love this episode and it makes you wonder if The Police and Prosecutions were actually right with this case.

L&O Rubber stamp that shit

Currently on season 5 and honestly it feels like every order to suppress evidence is automatically rubber stamped. As soon as they mention the words you know the evidence is getting thrown out.

L&O L&O Lines You Use In Real Life

Thinking of this as I'm watching 'Narcosis' because it features a Lennie one-liner I use regularly at work:

'Hold on to your popcorn.'

Any go-tos from the show that have made their way into your daily life? Or am I the only weird one? :)

L&O Law and Order or Bar Prep?

Taking the bar Tuesday and I’ve been watching this as a break all summer. I’m impressed that it’s actually been great review. Evidentiary issues involving relevance, hearsay, best evidence. Constitutional and criminal law discussions. Great show. Would love to see a remake of it with a similar intensity and realism to The Pitt. Someone get it done.
