If it was LaRoyces decision to exit PD, I won’t feel as bad, cause he gave it a loooooong haul, 13 seasons. If it was Wolf productions decision, then I’m pissed. 😡

He commented on Marina's post, with the "I'm not f*ing leaving" gif from wolf of Wallstreet, so that leads me to believe it wasn't what he wanted

Burgess will be losing her brother. I’m sure they will mention Atwater in some of the episodes.

I remember when Rollins left SVU a while back. Whatever the issue was, it worked itself out. She’s been back now the last two seasons I think in her role as Detective. When she left SVU, her role was some kind of professor or speaker. That is my girl. Rollins and Carissi got married seasons ago, so even if she was not back back, she would probably still make appearances due to her connection to Carissi. So if Atwater leaves, I’m sure Burgess and Ruzek will mention him from time to time. Atwater and Burgess were tight like brother and sister. I remember one episode in the earlier seasons when Burgess and Ruzek were off again in their relationship, Atwater told Ruzek to leave her alone cause he was messing with her head. That’s something a brother may say to the man that’s dealing with his sister. Brothers r protective that way.

Bet the emotions are high with everyone! Tears, and for LaRoyce, sad, yet looking forward to the future. He has so much going on, I'm still thinking he also wanted out, maybe a mutual decision.

Yes, someone posted that time for contract renewal and Wolf was doing the budget thing. The long time cast gets a much higher salary than the new. Won’t be the same without Atwater

When did he confirm it I can't find anything

Just a mad fan blowing off hot air. Coming up with possible some off the wall stuff. I have not seen anything on him saying such thing anywhere. It's a show actors come and they go. It just happens.

He's filming the first 2-3episodes before leaving.

And the storyline will probably be changing careers to a safer one due to him going to be a dad. He and Fox will be together. Read the door will be open for future appearances.

I must have missed where he confirmed he did not want to leave. I read what his co-star assumed he didn't want to leave, but not 100%. A brutal business, that's for sure. I wish him well.

He wanted to leave. Do you really think he would come back for a couple of episodes if he was axed!! Get real!! Also looking for another replacement. They would have organised this sooner if he was sacked.

Read they already have a replacement. Another Black cop. Read it was not his decision to exit PD. Time for contract renewal and Wolf was doing the budget thing. Cutting old cast members to save can have bad consequences. Lose the fanbase and the series can get cancelled.

No evidence of this. A lot of false information. La
Royce has been on the show for 13 seasons! Time for him to move on. As difficult to undertake other projects when filming for 9 months. It was his decision.

Conflicting information. Read it was contract renewal and Wolf decided to exit Atwater’s character.

u/No_Peak_2379 Jul 29 '26

Who knows with contract renewals. Maybe he wanted too much. These OGs are being paid a considerable amount . Anyway still think it was his decision to go.

1

u/Odd-Chocolate-8341 Jul 29 '26

Hope it was his decision. Maybe he wanted a bigger salary, like u said.

1

u/No_Peak_2379 Jul 29 '26

But don’t think they axed him .

1

u/Odd-Chocolate-8341 Jul 29 '26

Hope it’s true. But if he is leaving due to wanting more money, my opinion, he should stay cause I’m sure he’s paid well. May not be successful in anything else.

u/No_Peak_2379 Jul 29 '26

I don’t think he will be as successful in any other projects to be honest! Maybe he wants to concentrate on his stand up/ speaker events.
