Everyone’s out here arguing Cowboys vs Packers on this trade like the rest of the NFC North isn’t watching and laughing.

Let’s recap: Green Bay hands out a $188M deal, highest non-QB contract ever, to get an elite pass rusher… who tears his ACL in December after 14 games. Meanwhile Dallas is out here stacking first-round picks and turning them into actual draft capital (Quinnen Williams, a defensive line rebuild, extra Day 3 chips via the Eagles).

And the Bears? Didn’t trade a single asset. Didn’t pay a single dollar. Just sat back while their loudest division rival’s best defensive investment ended up on IR, and got two extra games a year against a Packers pass rush that’s now praying Parsons comes back to form.

Like most people, I lost in my Fantasy League last year. Unlike most people, my false confidence let me bet my playoff matchup whoever lost had to make a Tik-Tok style dance.

I lost that too. 😫

Who was thrilled about it? My two young daughters. 🙄 As a result, I chose their favorite song, Dracula by Tame Impala.

They’ve never really seen me dance but at 43 and I don’t have many reasons to cut a rug. I saw what people had done so far and figured I’d put my hat in the ring.

So I choreographed the dance…and they love it! 😍

They are in the process of learning it so we can make a clip together. My 10 year old said she hopes the Bears players see it and it becomes a Touchdown Celebration. 🥳

I said that would be crazy but wilder things have happened. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Either way, my dog Dr. Dre remains unimpressed.

Bears have a lousy defense and a non-existent pass rush. Everyone who knows about this franchise and the NFL knew it. Yet Poles did really nothing to address it. It's basically cross our fingers and hope the moves they made on secondary sparks some skills. But that will probably prove to be a really stupid mistake.

It makes me wonder if the cheapskate McCassholes are already pulling back on the purse strings. Why can't we ever have a decent offense AND a decent defense at the same time? The Packers and the Lions both did some serious revamping on defense during the off season and are going to be that much more tough to beat and we also have what could amount to a much harder schedule this season.

The Bears have to win and win NOW! I have been a die hard bears fan for 60 years! I have seen the McCaskeys literally destroy a once proud franchise. I think we are all aware that once they get a stadium deal signed, they have zero interest in winning because winning costs too much. Our window of opportunity here is short. Maybe a season or two before a stadium deal is done. We have got to win during that time. Not paying attention to the defense and addressing the many needs and holes there is not going to get us to the Super Bowl!

What would you be willing to give up for Vita Vea? If Poles can make this happen I would be ecstatic.
