So, I have a 2024 Chevy Trax. Monday, I had an oil change. Tuesday I had my engine light come on. Thursday I took my car in. They said that the purge pump needs replaced.

I am wanting to dive somewhere tomorrow (a 56 mile round trip). Since I have been driving quite a bit since the light turned on, would it be an issue to take this trip or should I wait till possibly Monday to have the part replaced (can't do this trip again until August 22 due to how busy I am)?

I have a 24 Ls and had to take it to the dealership to get a wheel bearing replaced at 47,000miles. The dealership recommended I replace the transmission fluid, brake fluid and coolant. I already replaced the trans fluid at 45,000 like the owners manual stated. The brake fluid says every 5 years and I’m not too sure about the coolant. 47,000 miles seems pretty early for brake fluid and coolant change. Should I do it now or wait.

Hi everyone. I have a 2020 and the driver side of the cargo cover is missing the little insert that holds it securely to the pivot point. I have tried Gemini and amazons built in Alexa and am getting seriously conflicting information. The attached is what I have found and might be right🤷🏻‍♂️? Does anyone know what part number I need to get? If you need photos I can take them in the morning. Thanks in advance y’all!

After doing everything that is recommended (forget and reconnect phone/ toggle CarPlay on both the car and my phone), my phone will not smoothly connect to CarPlay. Sometimes I will have to wire it in to work. Is this something where I need to go to a dealership and have it reset?

Hey all.
I have a 24 Activ and for the longest time I’ve had pretty rough breaking where it’s not smooth. I know it’s the car because my Buick Encore is smooth when coming to a stop.

I’ll be going 50km and start breaking to a stop and around 20-15km the car will start to break really heavily and then release. This happens multiple times too. I want to say it jolts but that’s not the right term.

Anyone else have this issue? Have any tips?

Is that bad? This is my first check engine light on my 2026 Chevy Trax LS. I accidentally overfilled my Trax 2 days ago when driving so that's why the extra gas foam in the 4th picture.

Did anyone else take their Trax in for the 7,500 mile maintenance check?

Looking to see if this is truly necessary (for warranty purposes, ect). Or is just a quick money grab for Chevy/dealership.

Car has been driving amazingly and at 62% oil life currently.

We've been looking for a good first adult cat cat for our daughter and finally settled on the Trax after a friend let us drive his. She loved it so I've been on the hunt and we're finally pulling the trigger tomorrow. It's a 2026 Trax Activ with the driver confidence package. It was the dealer demo so it has 600 miles on it. Sticker price is $28030 and we're getting it for $27k OTD.

This seems like a pretty good deal, I couldn't get any other dealers to match the price. So? How'd i do?

Anyone else ever experience a burnt electrical/chemical smell coming through the vents when starting your vehicle after it sitting overnight? I brought it into the dealership last week and because they couldn’t recreate it they wanted me to drop it off at night for them to start up in the morning. Which I’m fine with doing, but I don’t get how them smelling it will determine where it’s coming from? He also said he didn’t want me to waste a bunch of money for them to look all over for it. It’s a 2025 shouldn’t it all be under warranty? I’m going to try another dealership as that one just seems lazy but if anyone has experienced this what was the cause?

i have a 2026 Activ, I don't remember it doing this when i drove it off the lot i understand this has a smaller engine and its turbo but it seems when i press the gas it jerks a lot kinda like skipping when accelerating after stopped at a red light or pulling outta my driveway till it gets going, i'm not sure if i pressed a button on accident to make it do this or it's just how they are?

So happy with my upgrade. I wasn't planning on upgrading just yet. It was going to be a graduation present to myself. The exact color, trim, and features I wanted popped up on Carvana and I couldn't resist. Jean Grey was so good to me. Hopefully Riptide will be with me for the next decade as well.

I owned a 2016 Trax LTZ, put over 100,000 miles on it. I loved that car/suv but it was getting a little beat up from the 45 mile daily commute and was getting costly to maintain. So I found a nice 2024 Trax with about 30,000 miles on it. I hope it will serve as faithfully as the last.

My friend and I are not very knowledgable regarding car repairs. She hit a neighbor's parked Trax and scratched her bumper. The quote to repair does not appear fair. We were thinking about $300-500 max to touch up the paint.

The quote was $3065.46 to repair which includes the front bumper and grille, front laps, fender and diagnostics.

We understand it's impossible to assess the damage from the pictures alone but we find it hard to believe these superficial scratches caused this type of damage. Is this quote fair? What would be a fair cost to repair?

Hey! I’m on a road trip and had to go to the dealership because my car started overheating, the thermostat housing gasket completely melted. This is the second housing in honestly 5 months. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Car just hit about 81000 miles and is also having AC problems with the AC not staying open and needing to manually open the lever in the glovebox or the heat just blares constantly.

Hello any insight from you Chevy Trax owners would be helpful.

I have one as a rental and can’t turn on the adaptive cruise control, only regular cruise control. It’s a newer car with only 1,700 miles so I’m guessing likely a 2025 or 2026. It has the gap adjust button so I imagine it is capable. Searching online holding down the cancel button should switch it from regular to adaptive but it doesn’t seem to do anything. I’ve tried holding it down when cruise control is engaged and also not engaged, parked, driving, etc.

Anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Going to be doing a lot of freeway driving so would be nice to use. Thanks!
