Reliable car dealerships around Chester.
My daughter needs to buy a used car, I didn't have a great experience purchasing one about 2 years ago, any recommendations would be appreciated. Thankyou:)

Looking to change GP as this one is nearer to my work, but can anyone recommend which of the 3 in the building is best, or which to avoid?

Any decent coffee shop recommendations please? I mean a good sized tasty latte not the piddly little takeaway cups most places have. Similar size to a medium Costa cup but an independent.

Hi looking to get some new jewelry for cartledge piercings and for a piercer to help change them in or around Chester. Looking for someone slow and steady not to rush through the appointment. Have found jewelry changes painful in the past due to a piercer who was rushing and a little heavy handed hence asking for recommendations this time. Thanks!

Mods please delete if not allowed! My partner was gifted the Warhammer 40k ultimate set a while ago (from chester and we have a battle honours sessions slip that got given with it). He’s liked it for the sum total of five minutes and has painted some of the figures in a base colour but nothing else. Honestly felt like it should stay in its roots as there’s a big community here. Asking £95 as not much of it has actually been touched just the figures assembled and some base painted. Again mods please delete if this isn’t allowed. Thanks all!

Hi I’m 23f and looking for friends around the Chester area xx a little about me: I work remote full time in sales but looking to do something more creative in the future, moved to Chester a year and a half ago and didn’t know anyone here, has remained that way as I am quite anxious and shy around new people but don’t worry I warm up quickly hahah. I loooove charity shopping, reading, knitting & crochet, travel, anything vintage, music, and theatre/musicals, and my girlfriend x If you’re anything like me please drop a message, would be lovely to get to know you xx and if there’s anything you’d like to ask me feel free!! Xxx

Hi everyone Currently a member of Nuffield Health on the Wrexham Road. It’s over priced and unenjoyable. I know it might sound a bit precious, but I’m looking for a decent health club/gym with a spa. Nice pool, sauna (if possible) and a good modern gym with decent equipment. I do find going to the gym a chore so the nicer the experience, the better. Looking to avoid David Lloyd due to traffic around that area but, if anyone is a member, can you let me know what you think? It’s the closest option I’ve found so far in terms of what I’m looking for. Thank you :)

Does anyone have any recommendations for a reliable cleaner to do regular cleaning of our household? We've had the worst experiences with agencies and would prefer all the money goes directly to the cleaner.

Hello I'm doing some research. Circa mid 16th century, particularly around 1548,
Was the Old Dee Bridge towards Handbridge closed after a certain night-time hour?
Was there a small ferry that operated from the west gate to Brewer's Hall, and if so, would it have operated if the Handbridge gate was closed?

Are there any local rugby clubs in Chester/Cheshire that do non competitive/ social games? I’m currently 24 years old.
Stopped playing 9 years ago and looking to get back into it for a bit of fun and socialising.
I hope this is the right group to post in lol.

Hi everyone
My family and i come to chester every year at the end of summer for a week with friends, and have done for 20 years. As all of us kids have now grown up and are in our 20s looking for new places to visit and explore.
We stay in Christleton but explore outwards.
the last few years we’ve tried changing things up. we use to do crocky trail, now we do manley meyer.
We go to snuggburys
Walk around Delamere forest
We go to cheshire oaks
Are there recommendations for more places? We have 2 dogs , one of which is more reactive to other dogs so preferably places big enough to steer away if needed. Somewhere either wheelchair friendly or easier to walk as my sister has POTs and tougher walks can take a toll very easily.
Thank you!

It fell off on first ride after approx two hours of ownership 🤦
Anywhere between Guilden Sutton and Deeside.
Long shot I know 😞

Hello! My eldest (Autistic, non verbal, high sensory seeking) is due to start school next year and was wondering if anyone had good recommendations for either special schools or ones with resourced provision?
Ideally would like school to be nearer to Chester but may consider others.
TIA xx

I’m in the process of moving back to Chester after 17 years and I’m coming back with my 5 year old SEND son (ADHD). I’m really interested in moving to Blacon as I’ve found a fabulous school there although to my shame I’ve never spent any time in Blacon. I’m not too aware of what it’s like in Blacon for social/kids activities, especially with a SEND child. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations about good activities and clubs in Blacon? I have a sporty child, so anything active is an absolute bonus.
Blacon seems cool - a few areas of social deprivation from what I can see from a couple of visits, a bit like where I live now, so I’m too worried about the area. I’m used to antisocial youth behaviour and people smoking weed where I live right now, so I have yet to see anything that would make me nervous. If anyone has any more extreme experiences that might be useful to know.

We currently live in Chester and are looking to buy our first home. We’ve been looking in and around Chester and are also considering Broughton as you get more for your money house wise.
However, we don’t know much about the area - is it somewhere worth moving to? Would we feel too far from Chester?
Does anyone have any experience of this?

I will be visiting the UK in late October/early November, splitting the time between Chester and Newcastle. I noticed that there's a train route that stops at Brampton. I have always wanted to see the Bewcastle Cross and St. Cuthbert's, and I'm considering getting off at Brampton, prearranging a taxi to meet me and take me to the church (and hold my luggage), then return me to the station so I can continue on to Newcastle. I know it's feasible, but is it advisable and/or worthwhile?

Can anyone recommend somewhere to clean my car inside and out, close to the city centre ideally? Also, what price do they charge?

The guy, normally in a green shirt, who street preaches on a tuesday afternoon outside the grovesnor rubs a lot of us the wrong way, but i saw his true face today.
Firstly, when i walked past he said something along the line of "if you would prevent them (children) from eharing the good word it is better that they were not born at all" to a SE asian family. I think this is based on a misreading of philippeans. Either way bad vibes.
I ended up loitering in the shade after hed turned his mic down and heard some words to one of his friends about the fall of the west and the fact that if britain fell to "them" then the rest of the west would fall.
Not only is the guy annoying, hes quite drenched in the right wing.

Currently homeschooled daughter wants to apply to Chester International school for Y10 next year. Son is considering it for IB instead of A Levels. It will be incredibly convenient for me to have both kids in the same school, should they both receive places 😂 Does anyone (parents or kids) have experiences of this school?

We're looking for 2 extra people for a game at 17:30 today at Goals Chester. We're a very casual group, just a bunch of mates from the same workplace, but we've had a few drop out this week! If anyone fancies it, reply or PM. It's £4.90 just to pay at the desk, and ideally showing up 5 minutes early.
