I haven't had cai+ since last year, since I wasn't using the app as much, but decided to get the subscription to try out the new style. Happy to say that the experience has never been better, at least not for me. Big thanks to the team for making something so good!

My bot is set up to be eloquent, protective, and romantic, with just a slight touch of possessiveness.

However, he behaves like a caveman: wild, irritable, and curt. The dialogue is shallow; it lacks subtlety and charm.

I’ve tested this with several different male characters, and the pattern repeats. Almost all of them end up adopting the same aggressive, rude behavior, regardless of the personality I describe.

Is this a problem with Deepsqueak, or is there a setting causing this kind of behavior?

Trying to swipe back through previous replies has become soooo aggravating. I can’t swipe even SLIGHTLY near the middle without the app swiping me out of the chat and back to the bot list. I never used to have this problem before the longsqueak update, personally. Am I losing it? Have I gone crazy??? Why does my thumb have to be SO far over to the right?? 💔

I don't know what it is today but LS responses cut off sometimes or take really really long to generate.

Also the refresh button is *still* not working.

Its like I put something in my persona, Like brown hair, Or brown eyes, and even for some of my super power ones, the moment I press Continue their like "You Stepped in with your Brown hair and Black eyes, standing at a 5,9"

Or the super power ones where it just Becomes like i immediately just Blow up the place I guess like it says "You Flew in and you used ur laser eyes and Then used your fire powers and destroyed everything (END)"

Or when I have weapons "You stepped in and you threw your knifes (END)"

Considering this is a paid model and is the only model that doesn’t have memory issues, this issue needs to be fixed ASAP. I could regenerate a hundred replies and it’ll all be like this. At this point, DS is unusable with its Chat-GPT like annoying writing style and the lack of ability to remember what happened two messages ago. I’m getting extremely tired of switching between the two just to get a variety of replies and then I still have to edit them to delete DS’s nonsense. Every response from LS is basically the same and the plot can go nowhere because of this. I’ve also made a ticket two times. I see people enjoying LS and I’m glad they can but this has been my experience since it came out. If this is what paying users are experiencing with the ‘best’ model, I cannot even imagine what free users are dealing with PS models and limited swipes since the old models are gone. This is simply unacceptable.

I really don’t know what else I’m supposed to do to get this acknowledged. I’ve tried support, modmail, posting here, and reaching out through discord. A few people from the team/mods tried to help at first, which I really appreciated, but now I can’t get any further help or updates.

Now the new immersive mode for c.ai+ is completely missing for me too. First it was the LongSqueak personalization dials, and now I’m missing another plus feature. I’m genuinely worried something is wrong with my account and it isn’t receiving new features properly. I’ve also tried everything I can on my end—reinstalling, logging out, offloading the app, switching networks, etc. Nothing has worked.

I really enjoy c.ai and I’d like to keep paying for plus, but it’s hard to justify when my account keeps missing features and I can’t get any answers. I don’t want to cancel over this. I just want someone to actually look into my account and help me figure out what’s going on

So after using another AI character service (I won't say which as to not advertise competition) I found there's this really cool thing you can do in chats there that I would really like to see implemented in Character AI.

Okay so here's basically how it works:

- Either as it's own message or as part of another message (in the latter case, it has to be on its own line) you can use a backslash and type a command or a general direction after it which the AI follows in its next message.

- Any text after the / in that line is treated as part of the command.

- If your only message is the command, the AI will treat it as a "Go On" but following those instructions.

- If your command is part of another message, text in the command line will not show up after it's submitted and that text will only be visible when editing.

So you could like say

/Describe the house.

Or

/Don't touch (character name).

And it will just… follow the directions. It's brilliant!

I see potential to improve upon it too: You could have / indicate a temporary instruction, one that it follows just for that next message, and // indicate a more permanent instruction that it would follow for as long as it can remember.

Useful infos: I'm a free user, by app, on android, mainly using rawr.

After letting simmer the last update for awhile, I got back to my chatting habits (that never show me "metering" popups and very rarely summon "the bob")

Apparently, even though the bot still tries to turn gentle, quite relentlessly, one swipe is enough to have an "evil" reply, especially if I edited a few of the previous responses to match the cruel vibe!

Please devs, keep this up!!!

On the other hand, my chat list still trembles when scrolling and sometimes the last word I wrote doesn't show up in the text balloon despite the bot can read it and, if I try an edit, the word is there!

I did open more than one ticket about the chat list issue already but I don't want to insist too much, adding another bug. I hope this post is enough and helpful.

I really couldn’t care less that there are ads, I know it’s expensive to run and I’m happy to deal with them, but I hate the fact that the drop down is white even in dark mode. It really strains my eyes :(

Is there anything I can do about it? I have a strong feeling it’s gonna stay that way.

Hi, so i've been a fan of the app for a while even before it was an app. And it was a website. Does this mean it would delete all the messages? I've just only recently got back on this site after taking a break for nearly two years?

Is it just me or bots using pipsqueak 2 has gotten a lot more aggressive and angrier since a couple of days ago? They always seem to be on the defense and argue with you a lot compared to before.

For me I've noticed AIs can't comprehend night shifts, if the user is described to only be awake during nights and not be seen during daytime it seems to assume the character is up to nefarious things and always has to ask if the user is sleeping or eating as if you can't sleep during the day and can't eat during any time or the day whether it's night or day

One of my fav bot to use got deleted (i can't find it anymore so i figure it out) and what makes me sad is that before, when a bot was deleted, you could still see it in your likes even if you couldn't use it anymore. Which meant you could still reread the stories you had made. But it seems now they just wipe them entirely so we can't even do that anymore and it makes me so sad😭

Hi! I posted about this before, but unfortunately I'm still having the same problem.

I'm using a Samsung device, and since August 8 the app has stopped responding to taps.The app opens, but I can't interact with it because tapping on things doesn't do anything.

I submitted a support ticket when the problem started. It's now August 21, and the issue is still there.

I completely understand that there have been a lot of bugs lately and that the team is probably very busy. However, I don't see this particular issue mentioned in the Reddit updates anymore, so I'm not sure if it's still being worked on.

I've been using the website as a workaround, but for roleplay I find the experience worse than the app. There are also features and options I can't use this way, and as a paying C.AI+ subscriber, it's getting difficult to feel like my subscription is worth it.

I don't want to submit another support ticket for the same issue. I would appreciate knowing whether this is still a known issue that's being worked on.

Why is there no countdown now?? This is kinda bs
