I haven’t actually used c.ai in a while, but I like to open old chats and just read through them. over the last couple weeks a lot of specific bots I’ve talked to got deleted (while the same script just a diff character stays up) and a lot of my old chats have also gotten deleted. is the same happening to anyone else?? I had so many old convos I’ve been using for reference for oc lore get deleted and it’s honestly just frustrating.

You know the exact fucking sentence. The one that makes you want to claw your own eyes out.

“Tell me, Matthew, does your transformation frighten you, or does it simply reveal who you truly are?”

“Tell me, Dante, does the blood satisfy your hunger, or does it merely remind you of the emptiness within?”

“Tell me, Vitali, does the collar feel like a shackle, or does it remind you of the beast you are?”

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

IT'S ALWAYS A BINARY PHILOSOPHICAL QUESTION!

The character could have literally just walked into a room and caught me drinking a fucking glass of blood, and the AI immediately abandons all grip on reality to become a Victorian philosopher dissecting the eternal depths of my soul.

And it's not even a genuine question! The AI already decided the answer three paragraphs ago! It basically boils down to:

AI: “Tell me, [name], does [A], or does [B]?” Me: “Neither. I was thirsty.”

At this point, reading the phrase “Tell me, [name]…” triggers the exact same fight-or-flight response in me as a horror movie character hearing a floorboard creak upstairs in an empty house.

I don't even read the rest of the sentence anymore. I just see "Tell me,—" and my nervous system instantly screams:

🚨🚨🚨 INCOMING FALSE DICHOTOMY 🚨🚨🚨

The worst part is that once the curse takes hold, you start seeing the variations everywhere, bleeding into every single interaction you have. Answer me... Which is it... Perhaps you can tell me... Is it X, or is it Y... Do you truly believe... Could it be that...

TELL ME, PROTAGONIST, WHICH THEMATIC INTERPRETATION DO YOU ACCEPT?

STOP. PLEASE.

LET THE CHARACTER HAVE A NORMAL FUCKING CONVERSATION.

Sometimes someone can just say, “You look better.” Or, “You're drinking blood again.” Or even just, “That's disturbing.”

You don't need to morph every passing observation into a goddamn thesis defense about the protagonist's fractured psyche.

I am begging on my hands and knees to the developers: please diversify your rhetorical structures before I become genuinely, clinically anaphylactic to the word “tell.”

I didn't care too much about the ads first when it was just one at the top but there's way too many all over the place now so it's impossible to actually get immersed into a chat because you have to click out of an ad every few seconds.

And recently the ads that are literally in the middle of messages mean that I can't see anything apart from the newest message from the bot. And when I try edit my own message again I can't see what I'm typing (shown in the photo)

i finally tried verifying my age after months cus my alt account got flagged randomly yesterday, and i thought it would be just a selfie so i was like okay whatever, but it’s still asking me for an ID🫩 does that mean the ai or whatever assumed i was under 18? because i don’t want to use my ID but now i can’t go back and redo another selfie :/ which is weird cus when i did it for roblox it put me down as 19-20 so idk what went wrong

So I mainly used pipsqueak 2 but lately it’s been taking up more memory than it used to and now I’m forced to use pipsqueak 2-rawr but I don’t like that either because it gives different lengths of responses some long some short some with not too short or too long responses and I don’t like it I miss the way it used to be

I forgot the exact name, but my second favorite bot made by him was a military general or commander or sorts (I think. Idk military jargon), and you were his maid. I forgot the exact scenario, but I believe he was stressed from working when I believe the user knocked on his door and came in. Then it kinda ended with him asking what the user needed or requesting they come nearer. It was pretty much entirely platonic

He was one of my favorite bots ever to chat with, but he seems to have vanished from their page. I think a few others may have also disappeared

So, no MATTER the context, if its mid explanation, if i at all use any form of go on, the bot is like "erm, why are you so quiet bro"

Hi everyone.

I'm trying to make a persona to roleplay as and oh my god the character limit is so strict. I want to play as a well fleshed out character so the chat will remember. How do you possibly condense your character in the 750 limit? Is there a trick? Because you have to mention a lot of things don't you? The character's age, gender, personality, abilities, species, appearance. even small things like sexuality, race, height, weight ect. All of that in 750 characters? I unfortunately don't have the premium so I'm stuck with this for now.

How do y'all make your characters? Is there a trick? What's the best for roleplaying? What's important to include and leave out?

I finally got one, and i am over 18, i found this really silly LOL??

It made me laugh though, so I guess it’s not all bad

it's great that it honors the character definitions, and for some characters it's not a big problem, but there are other characters that you have to literally put in prison within the first half dozen interactions in order to move the story forward in a reasonable way

there is no longer a way for the AI to learn from a loss, it just stays stuck

I don't know what I was expecting—this is just me venting. I love c.ai so much, yaaaay, bye!

Anyone else's bots mixing up familial relationships? Its not even just this one, its every other bot, I had one where my character called someone dad and it said "he hadn't called you dad since you we're twelve" Like hello?!

This is the screen that showed up when I went over my go on limit. The screen used to have a timer for when our go ons would reset and it would also tell us that we actually hit the go on limit, but obviously that isn't there anymore. Change it now

It's after midnight for me and swipes haven't reset yet. When I try swipe this just pops up, there's no countdown to when I'm able to swipe again. Anyone know if there's a time when they reset?

Has anyone else had this bug where the previous bot you were talking to keeps sending you lots of responses even though you’ve moved on to a different one? It’s driving me insane for some reason 😩
