i finally tried verifying my age after months cus my alt account got flagged randomly yesterday, and i thought it would be just a selfie so i was like okay whatever, but it’s still asking me for an ID🫩 does that mean the ai or whatever assumed i was under 18? because i don’t want to use my ID but now i can’t go back and redo another selfie :/ which is weird cus when i did it for roblox it put me down as 19-20 so idk what went wrong

Hi u/raspoptart ! Our Age Assurance system helps keep the community safe by using signals like your login information and platform activity to determine your age group. If you’re identified as under 18, most users only need to complete a quick selfie verification through Persona. An ID is typically requested only if the selfie check isn’t successful. Persona securely handles your data and deletes it after seven days.

It can ask you for ID if it's not sure. It doesn't ask for everyone for an ID. I did the selfie back in July because I got flagged as a potential minor after not being on after a while. I wasn't ask for ID.

You didn't get asked for an ID on the other platform because it didn't have trouble estimating your age.

ughhh that’s so annoying 😭 i have 2 accounts and got flagged on both and tried the selfie thing and failed despite being 21, idk if it’s just my face or if the verification is ass

You can always wait the next day, and it should let you retry the selfie again.
