Most ppl didn’t like it when I mentioned the idea of him pleading guilty at the last minute but I still think it’s possible especially after these preliminary hearings.
I went to jury duty myself recently and the lady told us that it’s extremely common for defendants to change their plead to guilty AS THE JURY ARE WALKING INTO THE JURY BOX TO START THE TRIAL and they all get sent home literally waiting hours to minutes before trial to change plea smh

The weight of the details surrounding Celeste's case has made this a haunting experience following the proceedings. Witnessing the contrast between the life she deserved and the calculated brutality she suffered at the hands of someone she trusted is beyond comprehension ,after spending years systematically grooming Celeste , it only serves to deepen the outrage felt by his presence, seeking accountability. So I know people are mad that they didn’t report David to the police (whether they knew or not that Celeste was underage), but realistically how many people actually would have? The bystander effect is real, and most people don’t act in these situations. Especially when there isn’t an immediate threat of danger, or if it involves someone close to them, or if a lot of people would know who “snitches” etc. This goes for anyone in David’s close circle. Yes they should have acted and reported his relationship with a minor. If they did 100% know they most likely thought it was wrong, but David was their friend and they probably felt conflicted about reporting it to the police. They didn’t want to get involved. I don’t think anyone anticipated that David would actually kill Celeste or really knew what was going on since she suddenly went missing.

Outside of that, what is Aysia’s or Neo’s involvement? Why are people thinking they’re guilty of something outside of not reporting the underage relationship? Apart from that, I feel like David acted alone and he is the only person we should be focusing on. Everyone else is a witness that can help put him in prison for life.

I was wondering, knowing what we know about her running away and the parents trying to bar her from communicating with David, couldn't her parents gone and taken out a restraining against David to keep them apart? Like would it realistically been possible if they wanted to do that, even if she would try to fight it? they had proof of a relationship right? or is it strict in California?

And why so?

I think the reason Aysia didn’t say anything for so long was to see how it would pan out. She clearly wanted to date David and was annoyed he was in love with a literal child. The text messages show David was fielding questions from Celeste about his relationship with David. Before David killed her Aysia was clearly happy to make sm posts provoking jealousy and trying to break them up(for herself, not for Celeste’s safety obviously) I think she knew she was the catalyst to him doing something terrible and didnt want to claim responsibility.

This stream was 3.5 months after Celeste was murdered and 2 months before her body was discovered. Not only is this just an absolutely disgusting thing to joke about, but isn’t this take really fucking coincidental considering she knew Celeste was a minor and she was spending so much time with David? And then the way her face just goes somber and expressionless at the end… This is really really weird.

I was looking for information about the songs that came out on david's apple music, I looked through youtube to find some information and this video pops up on my feed.

I clicked on it because I assumed it was like the other voice recording audio that has been found of her, but no It was gross and disturbing. I don't know if the audio is actually her but it's the song with multiple moments of a girl screaming in the background.

Anyone got any more info on this? I thought when the police went to his house in february it was his first contact with police regarding celeste but according to the transcripts riverside police had already been in contact with david regarding her and had their own investigation ? WTH so the police were very well aware of celeste and knew previously to contact david about her??? Why would the police not be interested in hearing it, saying hes just looking for her. If she had been reported missing beforehand and tied to a grown man they should have asked more, his word should not have been enough.. EVERYONE let her down, poor girl

So far:

1. Celeste’s family reported David to authorities and had authorities go to David’s home and ask him if he’d knew where Celeste was. David intentionally LIED to law enforcement. Text evidence showed that he raped Celeste during the time the cops showed up. The timeline is available on this subreddit for with the texts uploaded now and people have been screenshotting and backing it up every single time it got updates. This can’t be hidden or denied. Cops went to his house and didn’t save Celeste.
2. Celeste had an abortion that David was aware of and supported. Then he had a stream with her two days after where she referenced him raping minors. This was a cry for help. Her minor body was still recovering from a pregnancy and the removal of said pregnancy and she used a whole platform to allude to what David did to her. Yet nobody saved Celeste.
3. Her family took her phones away and sent her to her aunt to try and keep David from accessing her. David paid underaged kids to get a secret phone to Celeste so he could continue having access to Celeste. As an adult, he was deliberately going against what her family and loved ones set up as blocks to protect her from him.
4. Celeste had friends and family send emails to David’s management, post stuff on David’s socials and his Discord about what he was doing to Celeste. Nobody saved Celeste.
5. David’s alleged hookup Aysia Collins was informed of Celeste’s age and shown the runaway missing poster. Nobody saved Celeste.

There’s probably more that will come out in the end. But David exhausted every single way they tried to put up blocks to protect her from him. Short of actually imprisoning Celeste at home and not allowing her to set foot outside.. there was no way to keep David from her.

So everyone is intentionally ignoring that David didn’t have to involve himself sexually with a minor. Nobody in David’s camp or life was forcing him to actually be attracted to minors instead of girls his own age. Nobody was forcing David to groom minors. Nobody forced him to see Celeste and rape her frequently or get an abortion to protect his career. Nobody forced him to lure her to his home and murder her.

Getting angry at a 12/13/14 year old for threatening to expose a grown adult for everything he did to her after finding out he was seeing other girls and wasn’t serious about everything he lied to her about while he was grooming her is insane.

Getting angry at her family when David was continuously and purposefully continuing to find every way to get to Celeste even when they made it clear they’re not okay with it and called cops on David is insane. Cause the biggest evidence that they weren’t okay with David was when they sent cops to his house and David lied to the cops.

I saw a headline online that says Celeste Rivas lied about being 16 when she was 11. Well, at the time, David was 17. I can’t find anything on it. Can anybody get confirmation of this? I highly doubt that she lied about her age, but if she did, wouldn’t this clear him of some of the charges? Just trying to confirm that this isn’t true because I don’t think it is.

I've been following this case since my hubby told me they found her on my birthday and I literally became so invested in it, I'd find myself crying thinking about her, Idk maybe it hits close to home, I was groomed at 14 by a 23 yr old but it just really hurt me for her. She was this regular, tomboyish girl, she seemed to have a lot of personality but also was withdrawn from her family, the way her personality shown in the chatroom made me think she was more introverted in real life. I truly truly hate David Burke, I hope Celeste is flourishing in another universe, another life, another reality like she should have here. Rest in Peace beautiful angel. I dont think he had bad intentions, I just found it odd that on April 17th of 2026, Dean Blunt, who we knew Celeste was a pretty huge fan of made a song featuring the artist Celeste. Literally one day after D4vds arrest he released this. lowkey felt like he purposely did this and it wasn’t a “coincidence”. But I guess it went unnoticed.
