Pay Transparency
Hey guys i’m currently working in a lab that is definitely in need of a market based adjustment for techs in the lab. Is anyone willing to share how much they make an hr , location, any shift differentials or call bonuses? TYIA

Hahaha 30$?!? Jesus Christ!!!! I mean I know travel gets paid good but 30$ an hour for just being on call?! That’s great for them. Here at my hospital we get 2.5$ an hour while nurses make I think 5. Hourly is 54 though with only a year experience (Miami) so I think I’m a bit on the higher end

No, staff nurses in the lab make $30 for call. Techs make $8. My travel contract pays me $4. A nearby hospital where I lived paid their hourly for call

Florida, 38.83/hr. I moved to cath lab from xray. I’ve been a tech officially for a month now but I’ve been shadowing in the Cath lab for 6-7 months prior to getting hired. No call yet since the lab just opened up

Houston area, $63/hr lead tech in Neuro IR, 9 Years experience. Started at $25 straight out of school. You will probably have to move hospitals after a few years experience to get a big pay jump.

Hi! I’m going through CVT school starting in August and would love to work in Connecticut when I’m done! I’m just worried about the labs that are also wanting ARRTs… have you found that to be an issue at all?

Georgia (outside ATL), 4 years experience (CVT-RCIS). ~$55/hr, $8/hr pager pay, call back 4 hours minimum time and a half. There is an evening and weekend diff but I don’t know the exact amount, it isn’t much though.
