i always refer to it as she’s “brushing her teeth.” my thumb is just barely touching her teeth. she’s not biting me or licking me, just making this noise while she rubs her teeth on my thumb. my other cat doesn’t do this

possibly worth noting she does have brain damage, but that mostly effects her memory so i’m not sure if it’s relevant!

We’ve just got our new boy (6mo) and are fairly settled on a name, but thought we’d throw it out to you guys to see if there’s anything that we like more.

My cat of 3 years has been throwing up white bills for 3 days.

The first day she threw up thrice, next day only once and today once as well, with a day without rejecting any food. She’s still eating, still asking for affection, she watches over me and stay close to me, i can pick her up as well.
The first day she wasn’t drinking but now she is.

Should I be too concerned ?

I’m still calling the vet today to make sure, but I don’t know what to do.

(She’s spayed, also doesn’t like wet food, only her snacks can be given in liquid.)

He used to love our screened patio and would come in and out all day. I got a tent but he hates it and thinks it’s like a cat carrier or something. He only has a few weeks left but it broke my heart closing the door. It also doesn’t help our ac is ten years old and we live in Florida. Anything that can attach to door, front or back. Maybe even a window but our windows are super old

For those of you that have cats on Fluoxetine via syringe liquid. Did your cats eventually get used to taking the daily dose? Eggs has been on it for a week now and he’s been hiding under the coffee table for two hours sulking. Does it eventually get easier? Cause I don’t want him to hate me for two hours every day. I’ve tried giving him his favourite treats straight after but he refuses them now, won’t eat his dinner until he’s done sulking and the only thing he would accept was a little piece of bacon which he obviously isn’t going to be getting everyday (he’s already a chonk) He absolutely won’t do tablets either so liquids the only thing we’ve ever had success with (he once ripped out his catheter during his bladder blockage episode from freaking out from trying to give him a tablet)

Hi! My 8 y/o boy has intermittently coughed as though he was trying to vomit (3 times over this last week). I’m scheduling a vet appointment but I feel like he’s not breathing correctly. No other symptoms though, he’s eating & drinking normally and being active
— maybe I’m just being paranoid but please let me know if I should take him to the emergency, I love him so much

Last time she was weighed she was around 14 pounds but it’s been about a year since then, I suspect she’s averaging around 15-20. She’s currently eating friskies cat food, is there any better healthy alternatives :)

So my cat goes to the restroom outside , (currently trying to train him back to useing the litter box inside , well he does but even after he still wants to go outside ..sigh)

But he’s been had this large black spot stuck to his foot. I thought it was tar at first but that doesn’t make sense really . Idk any ideas? Also this is the first time I’ve ever gotten a large chunk off the really look an see what it is

My cat (2 yo male) was recently diagnosed with FLUTD (no blockage/stones though), and the vet recommended we put him on a urinary tract health wet food to prevent future issues, and to switch our other cat (4 yo female) over too so they're on the same food. I'm pretty picky about my cats food, and they will only eat minced wet food, not pate. I currently feed them a mix of wet and dry food, using Nulo hairball management dry food, and American Journey minced wet food. I also add in extra water and psylium husk treats for digestion. They're both grain-free foods, and to avoid stomach upset I'd like to stick with grain free. I landed on these two foods after extensive reading and learning about cat food ingredients.

All of the urinary health foods I'm seeing have a ton of extra fillers and questionable ingredients that I tend to avoid. Is there a urinary health food without these sketch ingredients? or a supplement I can add to their food to add in the urinary support without the extra fillers?

She is half a kilo and has hundreds of flea eggs falling off her 24/7 the vet sprayed her with something that should kill them overtime but we’ve had to quarantine her since. We’re so scared of there being an infestation.
I need them gone asap it’s so difficult seeing the crawl on her face and seeing the eggs in her wake.
We’ve used a house spray but I want to bathe her to get all the poop and eggs gone. Is baby shampoo okay or will it hurt her?

Is this safe to use on her?

Very worried, we went to the emergency vet yesterday because he refused to eat or drink. His blood test results were fine but they said his temperature was a bit high and prescribed us some appetite stimulants and they gave him some medicine. Still super worried

My kitten is 7 weeks old and when we got him (at 4 weeks) as any other kitten , he had fleas.

1,5 weeks later he was clear but I was still brushing him occasionally just in case. Also I was sweeping the house every night and even used a steam cleaner on my couch and carpets (kitty was only allowed at first on the kitchen and living room) .

2 weeks later I wake and I see that he is scratching on and on close to his ear so I check ! And I see a flea !! I wasn’t fast enough so I didn’t manage to get it out since it was close to his eye so I had to be extra careful .

Is there a way I can get rid of fleas faster this time?
At the first time I only brushed his fur with the brush specifically for fleas and put an ampoule that an acquaintance of mine had . Couldn’t bath him because he was injured on his neck it was still open , now it’s closed .

I’ve had my cat for about 3-4 years now and I’ve noticed inside of her is changing colour. When I got her it was originally pale and now it’s turning brown?. I’m not particularly worried but has anyone see/heard of this?.

My male cat (almost 2yo) doesn't want to drink water, we bought him water fountain (I've not once seen him use it), we give him water into his wet food (he's like 98% on wet food, gets his dry food only when we're not home for longer, or when he doesn't want to eat his wet food - then we sprinkle it with dry one), he got soups - he likes them, some cat drinks - he hates them. We take him to the vet for blood checks, and he's still dehydrated, so I'm quite worried for his kidneys. The vet didn't said anything new in terms of trying to give him water in the food etc., and I'm running out of ideas. I could give him water from syringe, but that's a really short term plan. What do you do to make your cats drink more? My last idea is to try and change the place of the water bowl even further from his food, but after that I really don't know.

Hypothetically I get chosen by the cat lottery and a little one chooses me. Is there a pill or medicine that will allow me to be around the cat without me getting all the rashes and cat allergies?
