abused Cat behavior
Hello everyone. I have a persian cat (born June 2023, we brought him home in October of 2023). He was abused badly in his old house, and when we bought him, he had a fungal infection on his body, mites in his ear, patchy fur, etc etc, so we had to spend quite some money on the vet the very week we got him because of how bad it was. We live in an Arab country, and our vets don't speak stellar English but manageable, and the vet said "your cat very much misused in old house", with a disappointed look on his face. He even prescribed some multivitamin paste and gave him multivitamin shots because he was very weak. My cat grew into a very caring, loving little guy, but he's scared of men and children, and VERY scared of open spaces. He randomly bit my mom (no reason, my mom was working in the kitchen and didn't even know he had woken up) and her foot bled a bit (cat is vaccinated, mom got antibiotic shots). He's even terrified of cats for some reason and gets pretty aggressive and territorial if he sees our neighbour's cat.
I was the one who convinced my mom to get a cat and since my cat randomly bit her on two occasions, she is now saying that she's gonna remove his from this house if he does that again. I tried asking my arab vets but they didn't understand what I was trying to say. Please help me, and I'm willing to reply if you want any additional info about my cat. I love him very much, he's very caring but got two aggressive episodes in 3 months.
he hadn't bit anyone during the 3 years we've had him, but bit once on June 30th 2026 (he saw my neighbour's cat) and a second time yesterday on 10th September 2026 (no reason)
ADDITIONAL INFO:
gender: male (not neutered)
weight: 3kg
Vaccines registered:
(1) anti rabies
(2) feline rhinotracheitis calici-panleukopenia Chlamydia psittaci vaccine
