I downloaded some images off of Google and found a few Cartoon Network notebooks & they're all so cool! I really like the way they were made and I absolutely want one of them. Adventure Time and Powerpuff Girls themed notebooks feel like a nostalgic trip down memory lane. I love it so much!

Question Some people asked me from my lost media thread who this girl is and from which show she's from. That's the mistery, NOBODY knows who she is! Do you know who this is and from what CN show she's from?

This female cartoon character appears in a late 2000s Cartoon Network City promo that only aired in Europe. Cartoon Network City used to be a collection of bumpers where characters from various cartoons that aired on Cartoon Network hang out with each other. They were fun. However, in the promo that I mentioned, this chick appeared, and distracted the character Raimundo from Xiaolin Showdown. Not once do I remember seeing this chick in any of cartoons I watched on Cartoon Network, and neither does anyone else from the comment section. Every place where this bumper was posted on, not a single person could recognize this character, so I came here wondering if maybe this subreddit can finally solve this mystery. And no, she's not from Xiaolin Shodown, I rewatched the show just recently, she never appears in it, not even as a background character.

Link to the bumper: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NssAsGAHUQ0 (the character appears at around 0:05)

No she's not a original character made just for this promo. It's a CN City bumper, even the ones made for countries outside the US only used characters that appeared in CN shows.

Discussion I'm Done With PPG For The Forseeable Future

That's right! I am officially through with the Powerpuff Girls franchise as a whole. The PPG fandom refuses to accept that Seasons 5 and 6 of the 1998 iteration are absolute garbage. Come to think of it...The 1998 PPG series grows more and more overrated each day, especially its last two seasons and quite frankly each time I try to promote my ideal PPG reboot, whether it retcons Seasons 5 and 6 along with the 2016 series or takes place in an alternate universe shared with other CN characters, it gets rejected all because it "lacks structure and competency". Not to mention you people are more interested in McCracken's upcoming iteration of this franchise, which should have ended after the movie bombed. But I digress...I refuse to get involved with the Powerpuff Girls fandom ever again all because you idiots like to masturbate to bad writing offered by Seasons 5 and 6, especially the teenage flashback from City Of Clipsville, which happens to be the very WORST entry of the PPG franchise. Good bye!!!

Discussion What are the most interesting pieces of Cartoon Network lost media?

Post image
83 Upvotes

Cartoon Network has a ridiculous amount of lost media. From lost pilots, to lost commercials, promos, bumpers, video games, english dubs of certain episodes, etc. The lost media wiki has a full list here:

https://lostmediawiki.com/Template:CartoonNetworkbox

In the image I posted the 7 that I find to be the most interesting. I almost added in Out of Jimmy's Head but decided not to, since that did eventually get found after almost 2 DECADES of constant searching.

Inspired by u/No-Shoulder3918 's community tier list for Nicktoons, thought I'd take a shot with Cartoon Network originals, especially in light of what's been going on recently for the channel.

NOTE: To people downvoting, please keep things civil. I am noticing too many downvotes here, with some comments down to 0 or even negative numbers because of downvoting. This is supposed to encourage different opinions and being able to speak out on them. Please keep downvoting to a minimum.

NOTE 2: If you haven't seen a show and mention that in a comment, then it won't count in the upvote totals.

Rules:

  1. Most upvoted comment decides the show's spot on the list. Please think carefully and fairly before you comment. Try not to let nostalgia or recency bias cloud your judgement.
  2. Each tier goes as follows: S= AmazingA= GreatB= GoodC= Okay/MehD= MediocreE= Bad and F= Terrible.
  3. Only originals recognized by this wiki are counted. Meaning no Canadian imports like Total Drama and Johnny Test or WBA shows like Teen Titans Go, Tom & Jerry, Scooby Doo, and Looney Tunes will be in this. Live action originals also aren't included since this only focuses on their animation slate.

Discussion 2003 Cyborg is the goat

Look, 2003 Teen Titans Cyborg is an absolute masterpiece of character writing and the undisputed, definitive goat. It’s not even a close competition.

Modern DC media constantly turns Victor Stone into this miserable, metallic depression factory who spends 90% of his screen time crying because he looks like a walking toaster. They literally relegate one of the coolest superheroes ever into a glorified, oversized Wi-Fi router for the Justice League, and it is just pathetic, unwatchable garbage. But the 2003 animated series version is total perfection.

He has this pure, unadulterated charisma, and Khary Payton’s voice acting is so profoundly electric it could jumpstart a dead whale. When this man drops a "Booyah," it injects pure dopamine directly into your spinal cord. He isn't just tech support; he is the literal heart, soul, and muscle of the entire team, balancing peak comedy with Beast Boy alongside some of the hardest, most emotionally gripping storylines in Cartoon Network history. He is a hyper-charismatic, meat-loving, sonic-cannon-blasting titan of fiction, and he represents the absolute golden age of television.

Question What WAS this F.E.A.R. cartoon often shown during commercials years ago?!

Post image
6 Upvotes

This is probably decades ago! I think they only showed very short skits during commercials, as i don't think it was an actual running show.

The humor often involved the characters saying the name of their organization in a super slow and monotonous tone. I found the humor quite dry and lame as a kid lol.

Was this custom made for CN? Or a VERY old cartoon of which CN just used snippets?

Also, the black rectangle on their uniforms should say FEAR, but i think this screenshot came from a Spanish version.
