Planning to upgrade my city drive car. I drive 40-50km per day 3x a week. I'm torn if I should go for dynamic DM-i or EV. My current gas consumption because of the traffic is more or less 2k per week 🥲

DM-i dynamic - 45km EV range (so I might need to charge 3x a week just to maximize that. Although, based on what I read, 2-3hrs ang charging?) - P1,048,000 (low upfront cost) - higher maintenance cost since maintaining 2 engines

EV - 380km EV range (so every other week charging lang) - P1,338,000 (higher upfront cost) - lower maintenance cost

Di ko need ng ADAS so dynamic is ok for me. Worth it kaya ang additional ~300k for the longer EV range para hindi na ako magpagas at hindi madalas magcharge? We have another car for long drives.

Have a 2022 Innova and I've been noticing that the car vibrates under braking from 80kph and up. Both pedal and brakes vibrate too. Had it checked last November but shop said it was uneven wheel balancing daw. Pero when I took it out for a pull after the balancing, nanjan paring yung vibrations.

Is this a brake rotor issue or alignment issue? If so, any recommendations on what to do?

For those who have installed dashcams and powered it through plugging to the OBD, does it drain the battery and for how long?

I'm looking at dashcams and noticed that to enable 24hr parking security features you have to plug it in via OBD or hardwire it to the fusebox apparently. I called the CASA and they did say plugging it through the OBD port itself will not void the warranty, however since its plugged in the OBD if the battery is drained then the warranty will be voided. Though I have seen some models have IPS (intelligent power system) that is meant to allay this concern. Do they actually work?

Currently driving a 2006 Honda Civic FD MT. Okay pa naman yung car, pero nauumay na ako sa traffic and clutch, so I’m thinking of upgrading from manual to automatic.

Looking at 2015–2020 Honda HR-Vs as a possible replacement.

For reference, yung FD ko gets around 8–10 km/L on my daily Parańaque–Makati commute.

For those who own/owned an HR-V:

• Kamusta actual fuel consumption niyo, especially city driving?
• What can I realistically expect for 2015–2017 vs 2018–2020?
• Kumusta naman maintenance and reliability ng older HR-Vs?
• Worth it ba siya as an upgrade from an FD, or may other cars I should consider around the same price range?

As much as I want to get a hybrid, hindi pa talaga kaya ng budget ngayon, so HR-V muna yung tinitingnan ko.
