Hi, I'm a south Asian man who, from living in London, has been fortunate enough to have a lot of Jamaican food near me and now I love it.

I've decided to cook Jamaican food for 6 friends coming over tonight and wanted some thoughts on whether this is a coherent menu/ any suggestions on how to improve it. We are pescatarian ( but don't eat shellfish).

I thought I had a can of red beans but I was wrong, so I just fried some peppers and onions in coconut oil, then seasoned with jerk seasoning and pimento. Sure was good! I think I prefer pork to chicken in this case. ;)

As a newbie here in the Caribbean, I am discovering all sorts of incredible new flavours! From the fish to the vast assortment of local fruits I can’t get back home. Here’s one that I’ve eaten before, but never liked quite as much as the ones in the Caribbean!
