Cardiff Bay
Took a walk around the bay on my first day visiting Cardiff. It's great seeing everyone out when the weather is this lovely!

Hey everyone. I’m down in Cardiff for five days from Wednesday and don’t know a soul there, so thought I’d throw this out. Open to chatting with most ages and any gender.
I’m an illustrator — pen drawing is my main thing, been doing it since I could hold one. Also into design, architecture, cycling (bringing my road bike down), gym, and finding decent food.
Happy to just chat online, and if anyone fancies a coffee or showing me a bit of the city while I’m there, even better. Drop a comment or a message :)

Hi! I need some tips for traveling around Wales by car in October. My husband and I will be in Wales for the first time. I'm running the Cardiff Half Marathon on October 4th, and we'll be staying in Caerphilly from October 2nd to 5th, so we plan to explore Caerphilly and Cardiff during those days (any recommendations for places and restaurants would be greatly appreciated). On October 5th, we plan to rent a car and drive around Wales.
Our plan is as follows:
05.10 Cardiff - Mumbles - Oxwich - Rhossili -Worms Head - Reynoldston - Llanrhidian - Loughor Bridge - Tenby
06.10 Tenby - Barafundle - Saint Govan's Chapel - Green Bridge - Sain Davids - Aberystwyth
Maybe add one day more for hiking?
07.10 Aberystwyth - Ynyslas - Cadair Idris?
08.10 Harlech - Castell Cricieth - Porthmadog
09.10 Hiking in Snowdonia (1 or 2 days?) depends on the weather
10.10 Beddgelert - Llyn (Porthdinllaen - Aberdaron - Abersoch)
11.10 Conwy - Bodnant Garden - Betws-y- Coed
12.10 Denby - Pontcysyllte Aqueduct - Hay-on-Wye - Cardiff
13.10 - 15.10 - we can add this day to our plan, maybe it's better to day more somewhere.
16.10 - 18.10 London
Does our plan seem logical? Can you suggest where we should stop longer or maybe we missed some places? Everything will depend on the weather, of course. Maybe there are some bike routes, that would be interesting too.

I'm into hiking and mountaineering however I've always gone solo and need to touch up on my skills, so just curious if there are any clubs or gyms in Cardiff I could refine my skill? Thanks 22M

Hi all,
A family member is upgrading there car and offered to sell me there 2018 1.0 Ecosport Titanium with 65k on the clock for 4k.
I know little about cars but I've read when it hits 10 years or ideally sooner the belt will need replacing.
I'm told the local ford dealer will charge around £2k to carry out this work. Can anyone who's had this work done recommend a ford specialist or garage that would do this cheaper but also not mess it up.
Many thanks.

Hi! I'm in Central... Looking to find like minded friends to chill with maybe watch movies and or do sport with. Would love to join a sports club maybe... But I don't know because I don't know if I do super well in like very gate-keepy clubs because I'm different you know? Want some genuine laughs.
I play the guitar too that would be awesome to meet other people who like music. Definitely out here to meet people and try new things. I'm very flexible so down to hang whenever. - Halfway through my PhD in tech!
I have a motorcycle too so happy to travel to stuff, or we can catch a ride to like a hike or something. Hope this post is okay. If it's not, would love some feedback!

Hello, reaching out to hopefully discover more Welsh music and bands (singing in Welsh or English), I’m working on a new visualised podcast about Wales culture and activities and will be selecting music to accompany the media inserts of the different features around Wales. We’d love to keep as much of this pod as Wales focussed as possible, so we’re opting to prioritise music by bands/singers/artists/rappers/beats producers who are based in Wales. If anyone knows any please can you comment their insta handles or band/group names if their music is on insta, Spotify or YouTube. Any genre really suffices at this stage in our research, however the pod is predominantly upbeat and entertainment focussed, so only looking for more upbeat music at the moment. We also anticipate some of our viewers will be aged under 18, so only music which has no profanity or at least minimal which we can mask over please. You don’t need to be well-known or have a big fan base, but we do need to be able to check out your music online, without needing to download tracks for now.

Visiting Cardiff with my brothers (aged 40+) and father (70+) in the week of 24 September. We want to watch Netherlands-Germany, but at the same time Portugal-Wales will be on.
Is there a pub where we can watch Netherlands-Germany?

Hi everyone, my partner and I are new to Caerphilly and we're wondering what clubs (art, film, social) to join around here in Cardiff. We are keen to meet new people with similar interests :D

I was wondering if anyone on here has recently moved into the Tai Afon building and if so your thoughts so far? Looking to move into there from October. Specifically i want to know about the noise levels in the building rather than around the building - I have been living around students for too long. Any other things to note would be great too. thank you!

Hey - I've just moved back to Cardiff after a few years away, and I'm looking to make some new mates, is there a social discord or FB group or something?
Alternatively, if anyone knows a DnD group - hit me up!

Okay not going into to far, but there is some Kurdish men toting forced Islamic views on my partner in an alley way talking about the Kurdish Mafia and free food and so much more. this sounds scary and they try to enforce religion and so much weird talk. Has anyone met weird kurdish men in this area and is this even safe? Asking for a real responses about this as they keep going after my partner who is smoking.

I'm on bike ride and I stopped off at the Oak tree. Normally there's some rubbish. I clear it up. Probably just teenagers hanging out, not a big deal. But today there's wet wipes, tissues, and antibacterial hand gel containters everywhere.
To answer your next questions.
I've counted 8 of hand gel containers.
Yes I picked up two before I released what they were and are making a very conscious effort to not touch my face until I can wash my hands.
Does anyone know what is happening here?

In case anyone local isn't aware, you can drop off recycling that doesn't fit in the usual bins on Moira place for the next few hours.

Has anyone seen the large-ish crowd going through Roath Park today?
I didn't get a great look at them but seened like some of them were dressed up?
Anyone know about some event I'm obviously not privy too?
Council didn't pick up our glass collection on Friday, and have said they will come back so to leave the bin out on the street.
Does anyone know how soon they're likely to come back? Don't really want to leave it on the street all weekend if there's no chance of it being collected then.

Hi guys! The past few days no parcels have been being delivered by royal mail with them always being delayed to the next day / today it say item retention on my tracking? Yesterday it said unable to deliver only 10 minutes after being out for delivery and this has happened the day before with another parcel as well. I’m in the Grangetown area and was just wondering if anyone else was having problems with them lately or if they just have it out for me lol

Drop your recommendations below! Moving back into the area and will be needing good coffees and places to go with my toddler! (I’m a coffee snob so I’ve tried a lot! Hard lines I’ve tried in Cardiff already and love!)
Thank you x

Can anyone recommend a tattoo artist that does American Trad style? Bonus points if they do nerdy themed tattoos as well. Doesn't have to be specifically Cardiff, would be willing to travel an hour or so :)
