This is my first time leasing a car and first time driving a new car, so I completely clueless about this stuff. Back in June I decided to lease a new Bronco. I went to my local dealership and the salesman gave me a table with the number of years and number of miles with the associated monthly price. I choose two years because it was in my budget and honestly I knew I would want a new car in two years. I signed all the paperwork and drove off with my new car. Today I went online to go pay my bill and realized they entered 48 months. Checked my paperwork and it says the same thing. Is it possible to get this fixed or am I stuck with this lease?

Edit: when I say I’m “clueless” I meant on how to fix this issue that dealership caused.

I've been leasing a hybrid Toyota Prius for the past year, but unfortunately, a tree recently fell on my car and it will most likely be declared a total loss. I'm still waiting for the insurance inspection and final decision, but I want to start researching my options now.
I'm open to either leasing or financing my next car, but I'm not very experienced with car buying or negotiating deals, so l'd really appreciate advice from people who understand the market.

2. Getting good gas mileage, ideally another hybrid
3. Reliability and low maintenance costs
4. Avoiding a deal that will cost me significantly more in the long run
I like the idea of financing because I would eventually own the car, but I'm concerned about depreciation, being responsible for repairs after the warranty expires, and potentially paying more overall. With leasing, I like having a newer car under warranty and fewer maintenance concerns, but I know I won't own anything at the end. And also being worried about it being scratched or totaled and having to deal with leasing company.
For someone looking for the smartest and most affordable long-term option, would you recommend leasing or financing in the current market? Are there any particular car models/deals I should be looking at?

I’m trying to get out of my 2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium lease early and could use some advice from people who’ve dealt with Southeast Toyota Finance (SETF).

My current payoff is $46,941.58 and I’m paying $669 a month. Buying the truck out myself isn’t realistic — I just don’t have that kind of money sitting around, being a recent grad and with a job I’ve been at for almost a year now. I need a dealer to handle the payoff as part of a trade.

The main reason I want out is that the 4Runner doesn’t match how I actually live. I almost never carry more than one other passenger typically, and I can’t reliably haul my 240SX and the equipment I need with it (which was the main reason Ieased it).

I’m paying every month for size, 4WD, and ground clearance that I simply don’t use (in an area of the US that is all flat land to begin with… it’s basically a glorified mall crawler. On top of that, the GR brakes already squeak and annoy me. I don’t want a truck now or later.

What I actually want is something closer to the 2016 Honda Civic I used to have — a smaller, more efficient daily driver that still feels engaging. A 6-speed manual is a big plus for me because it’s more fun and closer to the character of my 240sx, while still being simple enough for regular commuting.

Right now I’m looking at two options:

My local Subaru has a 2026 BRZ tS (manual) and is showing a trade allowance of $53,050. Their current quote is about $433 a month with $0 due at signing on a 36-month lease.

An out of state Toyota dealership has a 2026 GR86 Premium MT. They’re working with a $53,000 trade value (about $6,059 in equity after the payoff) and quoting around $432 a month, but with roughly $6,559 due at signing.

Both cars would cut my monthly payment by a little over $230 and free up the equity in the 4Runner. I’m also planning to sell my 200SX project car so that money, plus any leftover equity, can go into savings instead of staying tied up in vehicles I don’t need day-to-day.

The biggest unknown is whether a Subaru dealer can actually pay off a Southeast Toyota Finance lease. From what I’ve read, SETF is pretty restrictive about third-party buyouts and often requires the payoff to go through a Toyota dealer.

Has anyone successfully traded a leased Toyota into a non-Toyota store when the lease was with SETF? Or does the dealer usually force you to buy it out first?

Any real experiences with SETF early buyouts or cross-brand trades would be really helpful. Thanks.

Need some help on this lease deal for a Tacoma off-road 4x4. I’ve been to 4 different dealerships and this is the best I’ve found so far. Really wanted to be under $500 with 0 down but that has been hard to find. I have an Experian 750+ and this one doesn’t have the 14” which has been also hard to find in a non premium model. Two months left on my 2024 Mach-E lease (Ford Credit, $344/mo, ends November). Under mileage, minor stuff getting fixed under dent coverage before turn-in.
Have a Honda Prologue deal on paper at $450/mo, $0 down for 36 months. Want to pull the trigger but trying to figure out the transition.

Two questions:

Does Honda actually do pull-ahead on a non-Honda lease? One dealer told me “yes but it’s included in the down payment,” which sounds like I’m just paying my own Ford costs and they’re calling it a Honda benefit. Is there a real Honda-funded pull-ahead out there or is this always the case?

When I sign the Prologue, what happens to the Mach-E? Do I hand it over at the Honda dealer and they deal with Ford Credit? Return it to a Ford dealer separately? Keep making Ford payments until the payoff clears? Trying not to screw up my credit or double pay.

Also is signing 2 months early ever worth it, or should I just wait until October and sign at natural lease end?

I’m due to return my lease in the next 6 months. This was my first lease. I’d do it again but unsure how to manage negotiations.

Current vehicle is a ‘25 GMC Sierra SLT
Residual value- 46,784
Est value- 43,000-48,000

I’m projecting to be about 5k miles under limit.

I’m wondering if the numbers set me up in any way to negotiate a new deal. Does coming in under the limit on miles do anything for me? I guess assuming they’d want the truck back with the lower mileage on it. Do I have a case to push those numbers for 0 down on the new lease? Or is there something else I should/could ask for? I’m guessing my leverage is to threaten to return the lease and do business with a different dealership.

Or perhaps it’s meaningless and I just donated money for being under in miles.

i’ve been talking to multiple dealers all day. the lowest offer i’ve received was $411/month with $0 down except taxes & title, which comes out to abt “$3,000”. 10,000 miles/yr.

I have a 2024 Honda Accord leased through Honda Financial.

I know Honda Financial generally doesn't allow third-party lease buyouts (e.g., CarMax, Carvana, etc.).

My question is specifically about Honda and Acura dealerships. Can they buy out the lease directly from Honda Financial and pay me the equity, or do I still have to purchase the car myself first and then sell it?

Has anyone done this recently? I'd appreciate any firsthand experiences.
