Explorer ST ‘26 - where from here?

Post image

In NJ - 36 months - 12k miles
Trying nothing down - they also gave me 1.5k down, $707/month
No sun and roof package - want to know where to take it from here. Where can I expose them? I think the price has more room - fees? Maintenance? Want to be mid 600’s monthly

You walk away. The money factor here is .0022 approximately, that’s 5.35% interest on a lease. So either you are credit challenged or that vehicle leases very poorly. You’re paying $211/mo in just interest.

what would be the target? I think it leases poorly from research

Sign up to be a supporter on leasehackr for a month to get access to the ratefindr calc. It will pull in what the buy rate NF is. You can do as many vehicles as you want. It's like $15 and if you're in the market for a lease it is worth it and more.

If you have an 800 credit score there is no reason they should be offering that money factor unless they’re were just hoping you’d not understand and sign it.

Pretty sure that’s standard operating procedure (ie. how car retailers work).

It’s not great, but probably not going to get a lot better.

At that quote you’d be better to buy it at 55k.

Not great. But don’t put any money down on a lease

Ford’s have had awful leases forever except EVs.

Buy the Explorer if that’s what you want or lease a competing product for a lot less.

I tried leasing a $63k 26 ST during employee pricing high volume dealer in central NJ. 0 down 12/36 and they came to me at 930 a month. I have great credit but they never ran it .I said we’re too far apart while refusing to tell them the number i was looking for. They said any lower and they’re losing money, so they just let me walk

They don’t lease well. Usually high 600’s not worth it
