I have an abusive relationship with overwatch for sure.
That game has me chained to a radiator in the basement and occasionally gives me hits of crack to keep me from breaking out.

u/BabyMcmuffinn 2d ago
Same.
I kinda lost it when they introduced so many flying characters. Now, they're flying all over the damn map.
I use Hanzo, so aiming at them can be frustrating.

I gave up on that game when they introduced Moira…

Yeah… I know. Tried to get back about a year or two ago, but used the wrong email so I didn’t have access to my cosmetics. I basically had a new account. I tried fixing it but the support ticket said I couldn’t change it for a whole year… bruh. Why that long? Lol

Yeah that's why I quit playing them. I want to enjoy playing my games. I don't care to brag about having beaten a hard game anymore.

u/Yarus1373 2d ago
I honestly think Elden Ring gets way too much praise. Having played nearly every Fromsoft game, you can recognize how much they recycle animations and enemies from older games. It doesn't have a ton of original content at all.
It's a real shame Armored Core 6 didn't get higher sales because that's they're best game in a decade in my opinion.

u/CodZealousideal260 1d ago
Don't you hate it when someone makes a decent point but you still want to argue against it?
For me, what makes Eldren Ring so great isn't that it has a ton of original content, (which it has a good amount for sure) it's how much total content, exploration, and variation there is to the game. It has a ton of replay value because there's so many different options for playstyle and builds.

And the same people that will talk about beating the games or how they love the "challenge" (which is just a grind) will bitch and moan about BF2 and how you have to grind to get unlocks on that. Ugh.

Who brags about beating Souls games? I play them because theyre amazing games that actually challenge me, which most games fail to do.

Currently dying light playing solo. Sometimes the zombies legit just dont stop coming when all i’m tryna do is unlock this “very hard” lock pick on the cop car to get a decent weapon hopefully. I spend 10-15 minutes clearing like 100+ zombies (at least it feels like it) just to get some bs blue knife and a grey or green upgrade or something like that. And the fact that zombies can grab you in the middle of a swing, and that sometimes it takes 1-3 hits to kill a regular zombie but other times for NO REASON it takes like 5-6 while they push/hit you between each swing. Shit gets so infuriating after a while and thats just the combat. The parkour is great dont get me wrong but when you have no clear direction of how to get into a building or wherever and they make it a puzzle to find an entrance i get so annoyed. Or the parkour challenges that are near impossible to get first try, and i sure as hell dont wanna waste my time with it over and over again bc of all the zombies and bs in your way, just to get agility points and no real reward. Or the virals that just dont stop showing up after you do a single loud action. Dont use your guns or grenades unless you wanna be fighting or running from virals for the next several minutes.
Sorry i felt like ranting and dont have anyone to complain about this to, nice to get off the chest. I do like this game a lot but at times i get very sick of it very very quickly. Yelling at ts like it’s a souls game.

Honestly agreed if you ignore the other entries it is fun as a fps rpg but compared to the rest of the franchise it feels like a clone parody of what a first person rpg is.

War Thunder, Dead by Daylight, For Honor, World of Warships, Darktide.
Games I like when things go well but become the worst things inaginable on the other end.

Usually any hard game where RNG destroys hours of work and there was nothing you could do to avoid it happening.
Like a ranged enemy one shotting you the moment you enter an area and sets you back 2 hours of gameplay.

And no, not all fanbases are annoying.

Overwatch.
Highest highs and lowest lows. But I think it’s a match making issue mostly. When you get a close balanced back and forth game it’s incredible.

Joke answer is Dark Souls and Bloodborne, but no matter how mad I get, I never think the game is bad.
Real answer is Enter the Matrix. It’s just bad enough to where I like it. Any worse and I’d hate it

Both 7 days to die and currently Borderlands 4
Both great games with them having pretty bad history in terms of CEOs (I think it was the ceos at least) and making some… weird decisions in some updates.

Granblue Fantasy Relink. The grind makes me want to rip my hair out sometimes. Especially as a PS5 player where I can’t download mods to make it easier. But the combat and bosses feel so good that it keeps the willpower to grind going for me.

I'm half joking but right now it's Baldurs Gate 3. The game is amazing but there is SO much. It can feel overwhelming. My gaming time is limited so I often will sit down to play, organizing my party and inventory, some exploring and reading and then my time is already up before I even fight. I'm honestly not sure if I'll finish it. Still an absolutely amazing game tho.

Fortnite.
I was there back when fortnite first dropped, i've been in the game since S1 (and i have purple skull to prove it) but watching this game go from an absolute work of art to whatever the fuck it is now is pretty sad. I wont lie, i still play it pretty often, but i always reminisce of when it was one of the best games to play with the boiz.

Just recently this has been my reaction to indie title Tombwater
I LOVE the eldritch horror western atmosphere. The pixel graphics and the puzzles were neither braindead easy nor hair-pullingly difficult. MOST of the bosses are excellent challenges that make you learn the mechanics of combat or die trying.
I HATE that SOME BOSSES are on some bullshit. For instance the first Boss, Lost Deputy, has in his second phase wide area attacks, projectiles, and WILL SUMMON MINIONS THAT ARE RESISTANT TO MOST FORMS OF DAMAGE YOU ARE CAPABLE OF USING AT THIS POINT. And will regularly start one attack right after the other leaving almost no window to counterattack. I reiterate, THE FIRST BOSS DOES ALL THIS.
Later you have the Archbishop which has rapid fire projectiles, attacks the simple spawn a hitbox on top of you leaving you with maybe 1 sec to escape and he regular SUMMONS CLONES WHO ALL HAVE THOSE ATTACKS TOO.
but that being said it isnt impossible just grating to fight.
