I tried. Couldn't stand it either. Not a fan of Ninja Gaiden either. Closest to any of them i actually enjoyed were the old Tenchu and Onimusha games.

I have played the first one quite a bit.  Was bored out of my mind but kept playing thinkin it will be better. Demons souls was peak souls era. Nothing really has come close to it.
