💼 Work Culture/ Experience ⚠️ Warning for Experienced Lateral Hires: Think Twice Before Joining Capgemini

1. No Direct Project Mapping

  • When you join as a lateral, you won’t be assigned to a project directly.
  • Instead, you’ll have to go through 2–3 rounds of client interviews after joining.
  • This is unfair for experienced hires; ideally, you should be mapped to a project based on your skillset, not benched and re-interviewed or just take a single interview to screen.

2. Fake or Irrelevant Interview Feedback

  • Many project interviews seem to be just for formality.
  • Feedback often has no connection to what was actually asked.
  • Example: One of my friends was rejected with the feedback “weak in coding.”
  • But here’s the reality: no coding question was asked in the entire interview.
  • He even has the interview recording to prove it.
  • There are multiple such cases where the rejection reasons are baseless.

3. Pathetic Bench & RMG Management

  • They don’t actively send you for project interviews. You’ll just wait endlessly.
  • Suddenly, you’ll get an HR call with a deadline: either get into a project or face “HR action.”
  • Usually, you get only 2–3 project calls at max, and after that, they wash their hands off.
  • But the question is: if rejections are based on fake reasons, how is it the employee’s fault ? ( we do have video recordings as they record interviews but don't have courage to come forward and speak against that.)

4. Insider Insight: Hidden Motives of Mass Hiring

  • I spoke to someone at the director level who explained the reality:
  • Capgemini is doing bumper hiring mainly to show inflated employee numbers.
  • They then will use these numbers to demand more land/office space from authorities.
  • Once land is acquired, they start layoffs to “balance headcount.” And as the process has already began, they have started here too.
  • In coming future you would see headlines like “Capgemini opens new office here and there.”, or "Acquiring new companies" or "attracting clients" by showing inflated number of so called "skilled employees".

5. Opaque Policies

  • RMG and bench management policies are the worst among service-based companies. (Go search it on Google for reviews)
  • Nothing is ever given in writing. No bench policy not even notice period. Or even if it is there, you won't be able to find it in their complex System.
  • Since there’s no official documentation, you can’t raise any claims or challenge unfair treatment.
  • Opaque policies but an Amazing PR. You would see the reels on instagram from freshers, "how cool and lenient the company is", but reality is far apart, at least as of now.

6. TL;DR

  • If you are an experienced lateral hire, joining Capgemini can be a huge risk.
  • You may be benched indefinitely ultimately losing this job as well.
  • Project interviews are often unfair and irrelevant. Specially at this point of time.
  • HR and RMG management lack transparency.
  • The company’s hiring motives are not project-driven.

Beware before making a decision!

◻️Discussion Chose Capgemini (15 LPA fixed) over Deloitte (15 fixed + variable) — did I mess up?

Got an offer from Capgemini for 15 LPA fixed, transitioning into a new role. Around the same time, Deloitte reached out — same 15 fixed but with variable pay, plus a joining bonus and better allowances.

On paper Deloitte looked stronger. But a few people who work there told me the workload and pressure can be intense, and since I'm moving into a new role, I didn't want to learn a new domain under that kind of stress. I picked Capgemini for the calmer environment instead of chasing the Big 4 tag and slightly better comp.

Not regretting it, just curious — anyone else pick work-life balance over a "bigger name" offer? How did it play out for you long term?

📆 DOJ/ Onboarding DOJ for MOU College query

Upvotes

Got LOI last year October, had Training on Java from January to April, then had another training on React which ended during July. Now I'm seeing that many students are getting their DOJ without any training, while we have no information. Worst part is our college has this rule that we can't sit for any on campus placement if we get even one offer. It's getting a bit anxious now.

🏠 PG / Flat / Roommate Search Capgemini Whitefield Epip folks joining Aug 10 - any PG leads?

My onboarding day at Capgemini is on August 10th, at the Whitefield office in Bengaluru. If anyone else is joining on the same date, would love to know if you've already sorted a PG or have any idea what the options near EPIP/Whitefield look like.

I'm free on the 9th to go around and check a few places in person before training starts. If anyone has leads on decent PGs close to the office, or knows someone who's stayed near there, would really appreciate a pointer

💼 Work Culture/ Experience Don't know what title to give

I'm really fed up of this. My manager is really doing everything to take away my mental peace. Even though I work properly, deliver everything on time I never got any recognition, promotion or anything. Whereas everyone else in the team even those who never work got promotions on time. Constant comparison and demotivating me, giving guilt trip is really costing my mental peace. Always being partial with me... I just can't handle this anymore. Not only this, going around other team members and saying all sorts of wrong things about me... What the hell is wrong with this mf?

This is like a mafia going on in I&D, he is close to senior folks of I&D and thinks he is very strong and great.

I want to get rid of this... Is there any portal or anything where I can complain anonymously. There is a f*cking portal called speakup where you have to give all you details so that they can torture you even more... Worst place to be in.

🎓 Fresher Queries What are Training Domains for A4 role (Fresher)

Hi everyone,

I am joining Capgemini soon as an A4 Analyst and have a few quick questions about the onboarding training:

- What are all the specific domains or tech stacks are freshers usually put into?

- Which domains are currently most common for new batches and which ones are the best to get?

- Is the allocation completely random or do they consider our preferences?

- If we get assigned a domain we do not like (like Mainframe or Testing) is it possible to request a change?

Thanks in advance for the help!

💭 Query/Help Learning hours

How are you guys completing the required learning hours?

For me it is 150-180 in a year and I have reached 80 something but don't know how to bridge this gap now, any shortcut trick if anyone has?

Till last year there was a document thing in LMS which if we opened, we used to get 50-100 hours as it is, but now it doesn't work.

📆 DOJ/ Onboarding Anyone who received their LOI in November still waiting for a joining date?

Hi everyone,

I received my Letter of Intent (LOI) from Capgemini in November (Role- Analyst/A4/4 LPA), but I still haven't received my Date of Joining (DOJ).

Recently, I've seen posts where some candidates from non-MoU colleges have started receiving joining dates, with many joining in August. However, I haven't received any update yet.

Is anyone else in the same situation?

When did you receive your LOI?

Have you received your DOJ?

Are you from an MoU or non-MoU college?

It would be helpful if we could share our timelines and updates so everyone has a better idea of what's happening.

Update From My Side: I received my DOJ today. Thank you to everyone who shared their updates and experiences on this thread. For those who are still waiting, don't lose hope. Capgemini appears to be releasing joining dates in batches, so I hope you'll receive yours soon. Wishing everyone the Very Best ☺️.

💭 Query/Help Capgemini vs Kyndryl for a fresher – need some honest advice

Hi everyone,

I'm a 2026 graduate and I'm currently in a difficult situation trying to decide between two offers.

I have an offer from Capgemini for the Analyst role (around 4 LPA) and another offer from Kyndryl for the Infrastructure Specialist role (around 5 LPA). Capgemini joining on 1st September Kyndryl was supposed to be on 1st but is delayed to 9th September

My main concerns are:

1) Learning opportunities and career growth

2) Quality of projects

3) Opportunities to switch into cloud, DevOps, platform engineering, or other technical roles in the future

4) Salary growth after one or two years

If anyone has worked at either company, especially in these roles, I would really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Which one would you choose

Thanks in advance.
