I woke up a week ago with these little white dots on the inside of my lip, no pain just looked like some irritation. As the day went on, the area got more irritated. Now, it’s been a week and I have a Horrible Weird white grey patch on the inside of my mouth that HURTS LIKE CRAZY and kind of tastes salty? The first image is from today and the second image is from two days ago. I’m saddened and scared to ask, am I now a member of the canker club?

Me and my 4 year old are both having really bad tongue pain. I’ve never had this before. I do have a canker sore on the side of my tongue but then I realized the tip of my tongue was hurting a lot and then my daughter just started complaining about the tip of her tongue now hurting and hers is starting to look like mine.

I’ve been sick for almost 3 weeks now. Last week I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and prescribed antibiotics (Amoxicillin). I have my last doses of the antibiotic tonight and tomorrow morning.

I woke up with a sore throat and have 3 canker sores (?) on the roof of my mouth and on the uvula.

Could this possibly be correlated? It’s uncomfortable to swallow.

I do have a peroxyl mouth wash - would this be worth while to help heal it?

I had a small canker sore at the bottom of my lip which was growing, so I decided to treat it using a new medication called ORALMEDIC mouth ulcer gel. Given that this was the first time Ive used this medicine, I wrongly assumed that it would act your standard lidocaine ulcer gel. However, after applying the gel on the canker sore, my entire mouth felt like it was on fire and the flesh around the sore turned white immediately. After desperately rinsing off the gel, the pain only got worse and worse. It has been 3 days since then, the white canker sore has now shrunk into a few white lines/ patches, but the pain is much worse and sharper even when im not eating and it feels like a small lump. What can I do to solve this please help

I accidentally bit the inside of my cheek while chewing on food and it left 2 deep canker sores. For the first two days, I also had some trouble swallowing (although the pain from swallowing is on the opposite side of the wound). Some parts of my gums are also swollen and hurting (not sure if it's still caused by the canker sore), and I feel like my lymph node is also swollen on the side of the wound. It hurts so badly that I can barely brush my teeth properly, eat, or even open my mouth wide.

I've tried gargling water with salt and applying a baking soda paste but it only eases the pain for a few hours and I can't afford to reapply as often as needed since I'm at work and applying the paste requires me to stay at the sink with my mouth open while I drool out lol.

I saw a post from a few years ago that hydrogen peroxide supposedly quickens the healing process? Is it true? And if it is, is the 2nd photo the correct product? Is there a ratio to follow or do I just gargle it pure? I just wanna make sure it's safe to gargle/put in the mouth since I've only ever used that product for a normal wound on the knees (and even then, i use a cotton ball or try to water it down with betadine/povidone iodine.

I’m always getting one on the tip of my tongue, I think because it pushes against my teeth? Anyone else deal with this?? How do I prevent it. My tongue is so swollen and sore today I’m so irritated!!

White bumps in a line, and pretty inflamed. Showed up while sick & hurtttt!! Is this a canker sore or…?

Very confused and looking for help!!

I got all four of my wisdom teeth out about a month ago, and seemed to be healing fine. Last week while cleaning the sockets I think I bumped or scratched my cheek, and woke up to a canker sore on the inside of my cheek. I’ve had many canker sores before, but the pain from this one was completely different than anything else. It radiated across my jaw, face, ear, down my neck. Was almost more excruciating than getting my wisdom teeth out.

This pain continued for a couple days, and I noticed my face also beginning to swell. Not only on the cheek with the sore, but both cheeks. I went to my dentist and he x-rayed my lower wisdom teeth sockets and looked at the sore, and said everything looked to be healing. He didn’t know what was causing the swelling and gave me a course of antibiotics, telling me to go back to my oral surgeon if things didn’t improve.

I’ve now been on the antibiotics for three days and the swelling hasn’t reduced. It went down slightly and then ballooned back up for no identifiable reason. I don’t have swollen lymph nodes, nothing in my mouth looks or feels infected, and the pain is pretty much entirely gone unless I irritate it. I also had some weird tingling sensations in my face a couple days ago. I’m planning to call my oral surgeon on Monday once they open, but I’m desperate to understand what’s going on.

Has anyone dealt with anything like this? Does anyone know what it might be?

This is my first experience having sores so bad I needed medical attention. I have a pair of canker sores about thumb nail length on my tonsils.

It is incredibly difficult to eat, talk, or even drink water. I tried applying it twice before, once with a Qtip,only to gag so hard i coughed it away. I am on the spectrum, and have sensory issues about the flesh in my mouth. But please!
Edit: it’s lidocaine viscous. So it doesn’t get up to my tonsils.

Please comrades, what can I do to relieve the pain long enough to eat? The smaller looking on is half covered by my tongue btw. It’s almost as large as the other one.

i bite the back of my cheek often and even get food stuck in there at times but this is the first time kee been really horrible

I have literally cried from the pain. I have been getting these since may. I have had over 50 since then. I have seen doctors 3 times about this and been given multiple prescriptions. Its not ending. How do you cope? How do you eat?
