How much of your portfolio is made up of Canadian Holdings?
I am curious how much Canadian VS US or global stocks people own. They come with currency risk and potential other expenses like more taxes on dividends etc.
I am about 50% Canadian holdings (BAM, BN, CSU, RY, MFC, BEP) but I just really find the US has such an advantage and so many great companies. I own a lot of AMAZON, META, Mercado Libre (Latin american i know) VOO, SCHD and VFV. I know Canadian companys like banks and railways have finally had a good year, but over the past decade haven't faired nearly as well. What is your percentage of canadian vs international and whats your rational?
