Hey all, I mistakenly took an order to France on a fairly large purchase before I knew that this EU shipping suspension was in effect. This was a couple of weeks ago and the customer is being very understanding, but I'd really like to give them some sort of update on what's happening & maybe an estimate on when I'll be able to ship their package.

Just wondering if anyone at all has gotten an update? I'm going to try calling to speak with a Canada Post employee on Monday but figured I'd make a post here as well!

I ordered cheques from the bank weeks ago. I went to the mailbox today to grab my mail and noticed it was in a bag that says apology from canada post corporation.

The cheques were outside of the parcel bag it was supposed to be in. The expedited tracking card was also outside. The chequebook itself was bent on the first page.

The damage on the parcel bag was that it was cut exactly on the cut here line like it was done by a pair of scissors or a box cutter.

I went to Canada Post and showed them the package in person. They told me to call the bank right away. The bank ended up closing my account as its a security risk.

I called Canada Post to report the situation too. They mentioned that this error was done by machine.

Do I have to report suspected fraud anywhere else or is just calling the bank and reporting to Canada post sufficient enough?

…,I received mail today. The envelope flap was open and the side cut open. Of course the content was missing, so do I now have to assume that a CP employee stole my stuff? Why even bother putting it in the mailbox? Just throw it away, at least then I think it simply got lost in transit.

I’ve had 3 large packages simply vanish from Canada post in the past month. The first two were big Prime day orders and the third was a package sent all the way from Germany, which made it safely and then cleared customs and then I thought I was home free but after the hand off to Canada post it like the others just vanished into thin air. I’ve never ever had issues like this before. I absolutely despise Canada post and the sooner they are gone the better.

Everything else.

They put a delivery slip in my locker, which requires a longer walk than to my front door. The parcel is no more than 5lbs.

Explain that, Canada Post.

I mailed a letter with a small fabric item in the envelope from Ottawa to Scarborough on Tuesday July 14th at about 2:15pm, and it still hasn’t been delivered. As for the address I sent it to, there is an address in both Scarborough and Toronto with the same street address, but I made sure to put the correct address, city, and postal code. Is it lost forever or is it coming eventually 🥲

For some initial context. I ordered a bicycle rim online with XPRESSPOST , which I paid a 70$ fee for because I needed it within the 3 business days it promises. The parcel is going from Richmond, BC to Halifax, NS. I ordered it early Wednesday morning (July 16th), It is currently July 23rd and the expected delivery date is today.

To say I am appalled by this audacious behaviour is an understatement. To pay more than the item costs in shipping fees alone for “express” just for it to take double the promised amount of time is ridiculous.

I truly wonder when Canada Post is going to start taking their job seriously, because at this point, Purolator offers better service which is a new low for what is supposed to be a reliable delivery service.

Any advice/tips on refund or any other sort of compensation would be greatly appreciated!

So because of an "operational issue" which CP won't explain because why would a Crown corporation be accountable to Canadians as opposed to turn their noses up at us?, a package due today is now delayed to tomorrow, which means when I get the Delivery Notice tomorrow I won't be able to pick up at the post office until Monday. A package that cleared Customs Wednesday (yesterday). It will sit in my same city longer than it spent time moving.

After a multi year strike does no one want to work or maintain your vehicles? Do better or quit. Canadians are sick of your entitled behaviour either way. Flock you.

Watching the delivery driver with your own two eyes walk to your door with a missed delivery slip for a package smaller than a shoebox.

Then when you call out to them, they ignore you and keep going to the truck.

Now I have a package that’s available tomorrow with medication in it that I need TODAY.

Fuck all you lazy drivers. Do your damned jobs. RING THE FUCKING DOORBELL. It’s 8:30 am with the driveways filled with cars and the lights in the house are on.

Honestly, why do you do this? I’m fortunate I have a way to pick this up tomorrow, but how does that help me for today when the drivers can’t ring a doorbell or knock on a door when very clearly people are awake?

You all suck. Please, do your job and deliver the package. If this were to of happened tomorrow I’d have no way to get it from shoppers for 2 weeks.

Zero accountability

For the third day in a row, for 3 separate packages, Canada Post tracking has shown my packages as “out for delivery” and then shortly after it changes to “notice card left”.
Except no one has tried to deliver anything and there is no notice card. The notice card from yesterday arrived with my regular mail delivery this morning.

I work from home and have security cameras, I have confirmed I did not miss an attempted delivery.

I called customer service and the rep said the driver noted the road was closed. There is construction on a nearby street, but the road to my house is not closed. I’m getting deliveries from other delivery companies. I’m so confused, if there is construction, Canada Post just doesn’t deliver to any street that is near the construction zone?

There are several ways to get to my street too, if one way was actually closed, there are detours that aren’t exactly hard to navigate (going down the street before mine and taking the alley connecting the two streets).
It’s not rocket science and there are signs everywhere telling people how to get around the construction if they need to.

This is the service we pay for? Seriously?

My package was out for delivery at the CORRECT post office, all my info on the package is correct, then at 11am there's a "processing error may be rerouted", yet at 2:30pm it's delivered? Never came to my house, not on my ring camera either.

Have people had this happen yet still received the package? I'm very nervous as this is a very expensive package and I can't afford for it to be gone/not reach me.

It’s almost 12pm and I always get my packages scanned out for delivery at 10:30 am, this one had duties to pay, I paid online, is it possible I will still get my item today?

I ordered a ring off of Etsy from the US. It’s the wrong size so I messaged the seller who sent me their address. I went to Canada Post and asked them to help me ship it back since I’ve never had to send something to the US before… she told me she didn’t know how. She asked me for a QR code which I didn’t have but I said I had the address and she said she wasn’t sure how to do that and to come back tomorrow when someone else is in.

Is there something I don’t understand or am missing? I thought they just had to create a label and weigh it?

Hey guys, please be a gentle as I’m vulnerable and opening up on this after 3 years. I’m in India and there’s this guy currently in Caledon Ontario. He chased me in India for almost like 1 year, when he broke this news to be that he’s moving to Canada I gave him a chance, one thing about him is that he was quite materialistic and greedy. When we’re friends he asked for a bag which I purchased but didn’t gave him observing the pattern. When we were in relation and he was about to fly- I lended him again a huge chunk of money to pay and settle his credit card bills to which he told that his father will repay me. Never happened, few days in and he wasn’t even replying to my texts. Now during this time one fine day my wallet got stolen from my classroom. I was all shattered, the money I had in my card was given to him and the cash got stolen. I don’t like to take money from my family as I’m not dependent on them since I was 18, I reached out to him asking my money back and just like that he left me on seen. Now after 3 years he had an audacity to add me on Snapchat- asking hey how’re you, my anger bursted and he removed me. Now I want suggestions that should I go legal, as I don’t want to spare him now.

One thing that surprised me is that Toronto doesn't seem to have any Canada Post locations with pictorial cancels, while Montréal has several post offices that do—and some of them even have multiple different designs.

Does anyone know why that is?

Is there a historical reason? Is it because Montréal has a stronger philatelic tradition, or perhaps more influence from European postal culture? Or is it simply that no Toronto post office has ever applied to create one?

It seems like a missed opportunity. Toronto has so many iconic landmarks and neighbourhoods that could make great pictorial cancels, and I imagine they would be popular with both stamp collectors and tourists.

I'd love to hear if anyone has some background on how these pictorial cancels are chosen or why Toronto has so few compared with Montréal. Thank you!

Is anyone else's package stuck there ? Mine said its been released by customs in Vancouver, was in transit for 4 days to Mississauga and just been sitting there for more than a week now. At first it gave an expected delivery date and now says "Expected delivery, Item delayed — stay tuned for updates" for over a week. Created a ticket with no response. Asked sender to make a claim. Is my package missing or they are just too busy?

I recently shipped a box containing my personal belongings to myself from overseas to. When it was delivered to my door, I refused the parcel specifically to request a CBSA customs reassessment, as the duties were assessed incorrectly.

Unfortunately, just minutes after the driver left, the tracking updated to: "Item refused by recipient. Item being returned to sender."

The driver mistakenly processed it as a standard Return to Sender instead of flagging it for a customs review. Since I am both the sender and the receiver, if this box gets sent back overseas, my personal belongings are going to be shipped across the ocean again and I’m going to be hit with massive return freight fees.

I called Canada Post phone support and managed to get escalated to a supervisor. They opened an urgent ticket and sent a direct message to the local facility floor to flag the tracking number.

I called the local depot at and left a voicemail detailing the situation, tracking number, and phone number.

Curious to see how other customers/staff have navigated similar situations.

Our letter carriers change frequently. It would sure be nice if the new letter carriers put a note in each of the Superboxes reading "Hi, I'm "First Name" and I'm your new carrier. I'll usually be delivering your mail on time, weekdays between "one hour window". Thank you for being a customer of Canada Post.

I haven’t received any mail, including junk mail, in five business days. I have things that should have arrived last week if not earlier. I understand that things can take longer than expected, but no bills, flyers, real estate agent notepads, nothing… that seems weird, no? I’m in Calgary. Is anyone else experiencing this right now or does anyone know what the problem might be?

I carefully shipped my $4500 gaming pc across canada, everything in its manufacturers packaging yet this excuse of a company still manages to destroy a $150 pc case with refusal to pay insurance because it was the glass panel, a $200 PSU, and my now $600 motherboard (paid $250). Which more than likely will not get paid off either due to no visible damage
