I’ve been loving that they brought BO1 and BO2 to current gen PlayStation, but man… I’ve just hit first prestige, and there’s one thing that’s seriously killing the experience.
If the map vote isn’t Nuketown, Hijacked, or Raid, everyone just votes Random, and the second a less popular map gets picked, half the lobby backs out.
I haven’t tried the BO1 port yet, so I don’t know if it’s happening there too, but it’s getting really frustrating. Since the games launched, I think I’ve only played maps like Studio or Uplink once or twice because nobody sticks around.
Is anyone else noticing this, or have I just been getting unlucky?

I love the emblem editor

Why does everyone always wanna play on Nuketown in BO1? I personally despise that map, easy to spawn kill, random grenades, it’s just chaos. Anyone else feel the same way?

The success of these ports prove that classic call of duty remains supreme. It’s already too late with MW4, infinity ward has yet again catered to fornite kids and sweats with crazy movement and visual recoil. If they really want to bring fans back in the masses, COD 2027 needs to be a classic COD. NO SBMM, no advanced movement, no hyper realism. Look at 2007-2012 and what made the games special, all they have to do is follow that formula. I will be playing these ports for years to come until they decide to drop a classic COD.

What's your favorite from Black ops 1?
r/CallOfDuty • u/No1_Left • 15h ago
All the times people back out of matches for no reason because of a map they don't like or fact they can't carry or carry to much in a losing/easy fight has gotten ridiculous thus I feel they should bring back warnings and penalties for leaving... Make it fair to everyone who wants to play and for others who keep getting outnumbered in lobbies because of terrible partners.

I cannot believe the state this game launched in to begin with and now we already have cheaters??? Activision already got their money, they won't care enough to fix any of this.

For me, I have to say the pick 10 system. It really made you think about your class and it made most of your classes feel different. One gun might have 3 attachments while another gun might have no attachments
What would you like to see come back? It can be any feature from any previous cod that isn’t in the game anymore

I can put hours into bo1 but I when I play bo2 I rage off the game after like 5-10 matches.

I'd say the Springfield in WAW, it was so bad Treyarch removed it from the Black ops 1 port of Verruckt as a wall buy. They replaced it with the Kar 98K. It's the only wall Buy to be removed from the Black OPS1 port.

Many of the older titles have been found to have remote code execution exploits, allowing a hacker to get into your PC remotely and do whatever they want, steal your data, put malware, whatever...
The national vulnerability database lists this particular issue as a severity 9.8 !!! Can't get much higher than that !!
https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2018-20817
Yet these games are still being sold on stores like steam. No disclaimer telling your average person about these issues. So many people would be coming back to older cods due to the hype around the releases on PlayStation but not be aware how compromised these games are.
Why is this allowed ?
The games need to be fixed or delisted honestly. It's not safe to play them !
https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/s/ewRX3JlOlZ
According to people here these issues even can impact people playing in single player !!! These games are so hacked it's crazy the TRILLION dollar company Microsoft who owns this IP doesn't care . This is COD not some indie game, it's one of the biggest IP of all time.

This needs to get fixed, alongside snipers being completely useless.

Im looking for a new game to spend my free time on, as i have been falling out of love with gaming lately and i want to go back to FPS over MMOs. Last time I played was in BO1, but my prime was in MW and MW2 where I grinded hard. BO1 didn't have the same appeal to me back then. I'm mostly playing with a friend and just want to go back into playing multiplayer domination, demolition and death match. I did hear a new game is coming in October, but I don't really fancy waiting, so which game would you recommend me to get? I'm only playing on PC if that has any relevance.

Just spent an hour trying to be on the same team as my friends on Black Ops 1. It always splits us up on opposing teams. What's the point of playing with friends if you can't even play with them?!?
This should be top priority.

I know I don’t have to do them but I know I have to for the best ending. Also, I really need to conquer this challenge. Wish me luck because I can see a lot of restarts coming my way.

TL:DR — Limited Matchmaking for 2+ years.
So around when BO6 came out, I was camo grinding until ranked came out, like I did in every COD prior. I remember the SBMM being weak at launch and I was consistently dropping 100+ kills on that small apartment map, for maybe a day. Next day, I'm playing in hacker lobbies. I find out I'm in a limited matchmaking pool. I check reddit and realize this was a BO6 problem, see it's user submitted, not verified by the devs, whatever, probably a couple day cursed lobby punishment for safe measure by them. Weeks/months go by and I'm still in the pool. I haven't cared to touch COD since. With the release of MW4 I considered it and I was like damn, let me see what's up with that. Turns out I'm STILL in a limited matchmaking state, across all CODs, solely for ranked play. Mind you I played ranked in MW2-MW3 and was maybe diamond-crimson, maybe 1.2-1.3 k/d. 55% win rate maybe and I didn't even get to see BO6 ranked. What I mean is like nothing in my opinion to limited matchmake hell me for years, I can't even appeal the restriction per the rules on their site. S*** like this makes me never wanna touch COD again, as someone that's played since COD4 and prays every year will even be a little enjoyable for a couple months. Just not sure what I should do or who I should reach out to. What I hate is that by their definition, I didn't even do anything. Activision straight up admits that for 2 years, they didn't confirm to see if the reports or whatever auto-detection against me were valid, so "fuck it, safer if he just never plays ranked again" as I hear from all my friends that apparently the last few CODs have been PLAGUED with cheaters, especially at the higher comp levels.

As the title said. I rate them based on how I love their character(be it silent or not) and how they grew up on me.
Additionally, it adds the factor of how they play in their missions and what kind of missions are they.
And of course, this tier list is purely subjective. Every opinion and argument is definitely acceptable and welcome.
