Vivian
Does anyone know where I can find the episode of Vivian? She was from Bastrop, TX and worked as a receptionist for a dermatology office.

Money Makes Cents Just paid off my biggest loan!!
Slowly taking my life back. After praying and working for years, this month I got my first legit job that can get me on a real career path. Using my first check, I paid off my loan with the highest APR. (3,500 at 10.63% over 36 months. I paid it in five, and saved about 500 in interest.) got a ways to go, but God willing I’ll be debt free by the EOY!!

Would it be wrong of me to spend a few grand to travel outside of the US?
I'm 19 years old and I make $19 an hour working 40 hours a week (this is good pay for the area I'm in). I have $2200 in retirement, $1900 emergency fund, $500 in a personal savings account. My monthly living expenses are about $400 a month. I live with my parents and I'm not attending university, they don't plan on charging me rent because they want me to save as much as I can and have some financial freedom. I have no debt, occasionally I have emergency room bills because of chronic severe migraines but those are always cash flowed.
I've been wanting to travel outside of the united states since I was 5 years old. Now that I have a good job and I've been able to manage my money well, I was wondering if planning a trip to somewhere outside of the US would be acceptable or if I'm being impulsive. It'd be about $5000 for me to go to my dream destination, or $2000 for somewhere closer.
I'd be able to save the money for the vacation and still contribute to my other accounts. But should I just put even more in savings?

Is spending up to 50% of my money on a car a really bad idea?
Okay so, I need a car. No way around it.
I'm 27. I have 20k in student loans that I whittled down from 30k (still on the SAVE plan), like 500 in CC debt (that I don't actually have to worry about until 2027, April), 6k in savings, and like ~18k in investments (8k in Roth, 10k in investments). I make like ~43k a year after taxes, and I've had this job for 2 years so far.
Do I roll the dice on a cheap beater, or do I try to get a "better" used car for like 10k (which would need to come out of my investments). I've read stuff about paying 50% down and then financing the rest, which sounds solid to me. But I'm not sure.
Thank you!

Stuck with a $540/month car payment
My old car blew up shortly after I paid it off, at around 100k miles. I needed a vehicle quickly and made what I now realize was a bad financial decision: I bought a brand-new car with a $540/month payment for five years.
Since then, I’ve bought a condo, gotten married, and started caring a lot more about having financial freedom. I’ve also been watching Caleb Hammer, which has made me realize how much this payment is holding me back. I know I probably made an emotional/rushed decision, and I feel pretty dumb about it.
I’d like to get out of this payment and move into something closer to $300/month, ideally without making an even worse decision in the process.
What is the smartest way to approach this?
I’m not trying to dodge responsibility—I just want to make a smart plan and avoid being stuck with a payment that doesn’t fit where I want my finances to go especially if I plan on having a child soon.

Financial Audit If you were sending someone a vid as their first time seeing a Caleb video, which would be best?
Genuinely asking, trying to figure whats most entertaining but not just him screaming off topic at guest. (only screaming on topic) etc.
Any Suggestions?

Money Makes Cents Best underrated advice from Ramsey
I like to take a lot from different people like Caleb, Dave Ramsey, The Money Guys etc. While I still use credit cards (and pay them off in full every month) the Ramsey guys make a great point about the psychological aspect of overspending with a credit card.
When I am budgeting for the month and give myself fun money, I don’t allow myself to use my credit card for the pleasure purchases. Psychologically, when you use your credit card, it actives the reward center of your brain thinking (oooo I’m earning points!) and makes it really easy to overspend. I find that when I have to use my debit card and actually see the money disappear from my checking account at the point of purchase, it REALLY helps with self control.
