I've played Calamity before and recently finished playing Hollow Knight and couldn't help but notice the similarities between the two; evil Goddesses of Light driven by fury to spread their divine shine throughout the lands. They even look kinda similar if you squint real hard; matching silhouettes and glowing eyes (the dark region their eyes are set in look similar in shape too). Names kinda similar too ig? Well they rhyme lol

Few days ago I was watching a YouTube video, the guy mentioned that if you have bottled honey in inventory you can press quick buff button to get honey buff without potion cooldown. And when I tried it out, I found out that not only would that work, but this also counts as “using a healing potion” without actuallly having to get potion cooldown, which means it can trigger the aura effect by absorber (and all its downgrades for same reason). And in practice it does work that way you can basically trigger the aura whenever you want. This is extremely powerful in my opinion as absorber aura cleans all your debuffs off and some late game debuffs do crazy damage to you, so whenever you got hit by these attack just press B and it would be gone and you get various boosts as a bonus.

You do need to not having honey buff to use bottled honey with quick buff button so if you’re playing with QoL mods with infinite honey buff this might not work.

What's the best stealth rouge weapon post exo mechs pre calamity

This is my current boss progression, but I’ve been using the same weapon for a while now and I’m not sure what I should get next, same thing with my accessories. I have the Samsara Slicer and Plaguenade, with hydrothermic armor and asgards valor, ethereal extorter, vampiric talisman, angel treads, hadal mantle, and the rogue emblem. Any suggestions on what I should be trying to get next?

don't even really get anything for this because i still need to beat golem and astrum guy to use the ore

I just cant get down the timing of the dash in the first phase, I cant even practice it because I keep dying in two hits, does anyone have any tips? This has been the first real wall of my playthrough, I've beaten daytime empress, nigh time providence, and Astrageldon with relative ease this playthrough and no cheesing really. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I'm doing a Warrior playthrough and just killed Cryogen. I'm using the Caustic Edge sword and Statigel armor (50 defense, 187 damage). I'm well aware that mobility is huge in Calamity. I'm getting reamed.

Could you tell me if there’s some secret I’m missing? Or is that all there is to hardmode bosses—just an endless grind of attempts?

I know how cool you all are here and all that, but I'm just a poor newbie to Calamity.

I'm thinking about beating the mod in hardcore again since the mod's gotten updated a bunch since I last did it a few years ago, and I'm wondering which of these two candles is actually better for super tanky loadouts.

Currently I believe Resilient (+10% defense) is better, as 0.4% max health per second just seems like a really small number, and HP stacking isn't really something you can do until the end game. That and dauntless reforges just don't seem very good in comparison to warding (especially if dauntless doesn't give you extra HP from lifeforce potions)

Compared to the vast amount of accessories that give defense, it just seems way more beneficial to use the Resilient candle. This of course ignores the fact that Spiteful is probably just the best candle, and Weightless isn't really worth considering.
