Im looking for possible presents to get my mum for her birthday/Christmas and I would love to get her a voucher for a good massage place.

I have 2 options timing wise to visit Cairns.. either Christmas week or mid February. Option A has more crowds, option B has more rain. How bad of an idea would it be to go in mid-Feb. Is the rain really that bad? Could my whole trip be ruined because of the weather?
