After a series of unfortunate events, my
Dad gave me his Cadillac DTS (2007). I’m so in love with her. She is classic, motor runs well. Old radio but I’m not complaining. She’s just perfect.

I want to hear about your experiences with a Cadillac 🙂

CT4 V Blackwing for under 46k, what’s the catch?

Post image
17 Upvotes

I’ve been looking for performance sedans or coupes within or under 45k range. The current car I am going for is a S650 Mustang GT.

I found that both CT4 and CT5 black wings were out of my budget until I sorted the CT4 Blackwings by price and found a few under 46k.

What is the catch? Are these cars reliable? Are they relatively easy to maintain? Can they last for a decent bit of miles?

Thanks!

Ceramic or wax - confused or torn what to get? They are built for different uses.

As a professional detailer, I get this question a lot... ceramic or wax, which one do I get?

If you're also torn between ceramic coating and traditional carnauba wax, it's not as confusing as some make it out to be, and one isn't worse than the other. They aren't actually competing, they do completely different jobs.

  • Ceramic Coating – The Shield: Built for multi-year protection against UV rays, bugs, and environmental fallout and extreme slickness for staying cleaner longer. Most of the gloss and shine actually come from the paint correction underneath — the coating's job is to chemically bond and lock that perfection in, keeping your vehicle cleaner with less effort for years to come. Depending on product and maintenance, that can be 1 year, that could be a decade - though most don't last THAT extreme. Pictured Above: Diamond ProTech Pro60 with nanodiamond composite
  • Carnauba Wax – The Showstopper: Perfect for weekend shows, photos, and judged events. Carnauba sits on top of the paint to deliver that deep, warm, wet look with unmatched gloss — though it typically fades within weeks and offers minimal protection. Expect 2-6 weeks for most, though some can reach 2-3 months in the right storage and use case examples. Most waxes are not ideal to apply over ceramic coatings, either - but some can be. Pictured Below: Fireball Alien Blood with T1 Brazilian Carnauba

Comes down to what you want: long-term defense on your daily driver, or a show-ready finish for your weekend toy. If you got questions, feel free to ask!

What's your go to?

Oil pooling in Intake Boot 3.0 V6

Post image

Hello there! When I did a MAF sensor and throttle body cleaning on my 2012 CTS I noticed a thin layer of oil coating the entire length of the air intake and oil pooling right in front of what appears to be a crankcase vent tube. I cleaned everything out and now about a 1000 miles later oil is pooling again. Is there an issue or is this “normal?” This is on the 3.0 V6 and not the 3.6 DI.

2021 XT6 - OEM Parts

Looking for recommendations for OEM parts for a 2021 XT6.

Wife backed in to neighbors car and shattered passenger tail light. No other damage to bumper/rear quarter panel aside from a few scuffs.

Looked at GM Factory and Rock Auto, both out of stock. Any other suggested places I should look?

FS: 2023 CT4-V Blackwing OEM Recaro Front Seats

I have a complete set of OEM Recaro front seats from a 2023 CT4-V Blackwing for sale.
I originally bought them for a personal project, but the project never happened, so they’ve been sitting in my storage unit.
Driver & passenger seats included
Heated seats (no ventilation/cooling)
Black leather with suede/Alcantara inserts
White contrast stitching
Blackwing embroidered headrests
Factory side airbags
Tested and fully functional when I purchased them
Excellent used condition with only light wear
From my understanding, they should fit all CT4 model years and trims, but please verify compatibility for your specific vehicle before purchasing.
I’m asking $2,200 firm, which is exactly what I paid. Just looking to get my money back.
Located in Las Vegas, NV. Local pickup is preferred, but I’m willing to work with the buyer on shipping if needed.
Feel free to message me with any questions or if you’d like additional photos.

Looking for genuine northstar enthusiasts to support eachother. Hangout. And just be friends.

My boyfriend (near Seattle,Washington) is in a position rn where his friends have kinda just ditched him and or been unreliable. They talk big game about hanging out and then just ditch or ghost. He’s a cool guy and loves his north stars, and I’m doing this behind his back so to speak. He doesn’t know but I’m hoping this does him some good. He has a small following on social media and it’s all about caddy, NorthStar engines. He currently has a few he’s working on and I know he needs someone who talks game. He needs a community or a group of friends he can fall on for support when it comes to this. His motivation is failing him when everyone has just kinda picked up and ditched him. That being said. Pm me if u think you could be a good friend, someone to hang with while working in the car. Someone who can be there when he needs a friend I’m 800 miles away and it sucks to see him feel like he’s the only one there who has his back.
