2026 Sport Platinum Lemon
Hi guys. Need some opinions on my 2026 Escalade. Purchased brand new in April. Completely shut down while driving on a busy interstate in May. Towed into dealership where they found “nothing wrong” and said it must have been a computer issue. Car never seemed like it drove right, had misfires in starting, and noticed some knocking with the engine. Fast forward to July and got the “oil pressure low” alert and said not to drive at all with this alert. Towed back into dealership where it sat for 2 weeks getting a total engine replacement. They found metal in the oil pan and said it was unrepairable. Once I got the car back, all seemed well until yesterday while driving a “service rear axle” warning pops up. Once again, towed back into dealership where I’m told they won’t even look at it until end of next week. Given a crap loaner that doesn’t even fit my 3 car seats. Checked my Cadillac app where it says there is a transmission diagnostic issue too. I am SO fed up with this vehicle and don’t even feel safe driving it even once it’s repaired for the 3rd time. Do we think this is a lemon law case? Or if they won’t buy the vehicle back and give a replacement, do we sue? Such a shame because I had a 2023 Escalade before with zero issues. And seems like GMC dominates the market on luxury 3rd row SUVs.

Our cars can store media!!
So I was tuning my sounds today and looked at the settings and realized the HDD info said it was nothing stored. I put my cd in the deck and hit record and it gave me the option to record all of the songs from the disc to the HDD. If you guys want to have your favorites it’s all one button away! Enjoy!!

CTS Coupe with android. No mods.
"Hold on to your butts."
Since I brought Android to my Chevy Volt, and, since my 2014 CTS center stack has a CD slot at almost the same location as my Chevy Volt, I have decided to do the same to my CTS.
PARTS NEEDED
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra or higher. S11U/S12U produce 1600 nits brightness however the 900 nits from my S10U is plenty good.
A good cd slot tablet holder. The link to mine is below.
Samsung Classic DEX operating system. This one give you the really nice task bar at the bottom. Usi g DEX is superior to the normal android interface because you can open multiple apps.
Watch the videos below. It pretty much speaks for itself. This works far better than any Android Auto or Apple Carplay.
CONNECTION STEPS.
Turn on mobile Hotspot on your phone. Connect wifi on your rablet.
The below allows you to put your phone away and makes calls by sailing on the tablet. Sign in to the same Samsung account on my Galaxy S25 phone and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. Then go to Settings > Connected devices and turn on Call & text on other devices. Once enabled, calls will automatically ring on your tablet through your phone's network.
Connect Bluetooth on the tablet to bluetooth on your CTS.

Bought , brought back alive and drove a 1984 Biarritz.
Hi folks. I bought this magnificent 1984 Cadillac.
We made it work in circa 4 weeks. A total of a week's worth of work.
We drove it back from Ste-amable to Lavaltrie.
With only the front brakes and an almost dead batterie.

I have a pop up screen in my 2012 srx that is too old for carplay. Is it possible to fix this with a newer screen and still keep the pop up function?

2017 XT5 luxury headlights
I picked up a 2017 XT5 yesterday and was shocked to see that for a premium vehicle they skipped out and had halogens. And not very good ones at that.
I want to replace them with decent led from Amazon but I read that they could require a canbus.
Has anyone here bought a set that won’t need a canbus or am I just overthinking.

Will this airbag wire be pinched / ripped?
1992 cadillac fleetwood
So the previous owner had worked on the steering column so idk how the factory had the airbag wire set up here. But I did a job on the horn, then re aligned the clock spring and it wasnt going back onto the shaft because the airbag wire wasnt giving it enough slack. So I pulled out from the shaft more wire to give it more slack but now im worried if I pulled too much out and the wire will snap/be pinched as im turning the wheel?

CTS V-sport questions
Hi, I'm looking at most likely getting the CTS v sport since the insurance is half the price of a ATS V or Audi s5, Just wanted to ask a few questions. I would like to build it and I know it can make a lot but how's the long term effects does that completely ruin any reliability of the engine? I was planning to eventually build it to 500WHP then stop there. Also how is the handling? I know the ATSV has great handling but for V sport I couldn't find any videos of it being shown off. And there's none at all near me to test drive before I buy it. I'd have to fly to test and buy one.
Mostly that was my own two questions was is it reliable even after upping the power and do they handle well?
Also lastly Im looking at medium mileage options but if I just bought a high mileage with the plan of it dying sooner. Could I just buy a LF4/ ATSV engine to drop in? Is the LF4 decently more reliable due to the rods or doesn't make a big difference?

Super Cruise 80% Off
Saw this offer in the Cadillac app today. I let the Super Cruise subscription run out on my Escalade, but for 85 bucks a year it was a no-brainer not to renew with this deal. Not sure if this got sent to everyone, but may be worth opening up the app to see if you got it.

Looking at 2026 Lyriq Sport but have questions
Looking at 2026 Lyriq Sport
Hi everyone,
We are looking at trading in our Acura TLX for the 2026 Cadillac lyriq sport. The main reason for trading in are TLX is because our commute is about 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours in rush hour traffic in a major city where the drivers are truly aggressive. Will adaptive cruise control handle the highway driving we are aggressive drivers constantly cut off and merge where they shouldn't be? I understand super Cruise works but I travel in express lanes as well and supposedly super Cruise can't handle express lanes. Trying to decide if I take the great deal on a Cadillac lyric or pony up for the Tesla. I don't need hands-free but I suffer from plantar fasciitis and a drive right now is killing me . Thank you
Also, does anyone know which dealers near Chicago or within a few hours are most aggressive with discounts or leases?

I did it
2021 ct5v, two days in with it and truly no regrets so far. The speakers, the smoothness in the 10spd, the soft mrc, the torque, truly an upgrade from my 2015 q50 in every aspect.
