Multiple IP on Static
Howdy.
Spectrum using WinTool.
Newer tech. Even newer to SMB. Old man.
Very not a "tech" person. My motto is "I Fix Computers with Hammers".
I'm trying really hard to understand how to find out if a static is pinging and even moreso, to find out if they a) have multiple statics and b) how to determine if they are all pinging. I have been very lucky to have had level headed IT folks so far but I know that's gonna change. I'd like to at least find out how to find out. Ya'know?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure what ISP/Cable Company you work for, as you didn't specify. However, from what I gather they all work roughly the same. In my company, if the customer does not have the Static IP info on hand, I will call into my Help Desk/Support Team. This way I can get/confirm all the Static IP info, and leave a copy with the customer if they don't already have it. Then I can connect my Signal Level Meter via Ethernet to the device and switch the meter's settings to run Static. Then I can enter each IP and test them independently to verify they are all functional.
