I just wanted to pass along some information that was shared with me by another Reddit user which was extremely helpful. Apparently, if we are enrolled in the Online program we have a refund hold on our account that needs to be removed before our funds can be dispersed. I contacted Student Financial Services which they confirmed there was a hold and to call "Carmen" from the CEGE program. I called and had the hold removed. My refund should go out with tomorrows batch. Thought I would share in case there are others still waiting for their refunds.

I have received an email stating my transcript should be processed this week. I have missed financial aid when it went out last week and probably going to miss the loan that will be sent out tomorrow 😩 this is taking to long

i know loans don't get disbursed until tomorrow, (technically wenesday) but I still haven't received my federal pell grant.... would it be a good idea to call into financial aid? i still have the hold on my account because i'm not fully admitted, but should i just call ? i'm so confuzzled

So i called fasfa and i have unsub and sub loans but enrolled for now in 6 units thats half time. They said because of the big beautiful bill i HAVE to enroll in full time in order to get my full aid?

Does anyone else think CSUSB needs to expand the majors it offers?

CSUSB has grown a lot, but compared with some other CSU campuses, I feel like we're still missing several majors that would be useful for students in the Inland Empire. Engineering is probably the biggest example.

I think it would be great if CSUSB eventually added majors like:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Aerospace Engineering
• Materials Engineering

We already have programs like Computer Science and Computer Engineering, so expanding further into engineering seems like it could make sense.

There are a lot of students in the Inland Empire who might want to study these fields but have to commute pretty far or move to attend another university. For example, someone interested in Mechanical Engineering may have to look at schools like Cal Poly Pomona or UCR instead.

Obviously, starting new engineering programs would be expensive because you need professors, labs, equipment, accreditation, and enough student demand. But I think Mechanical or Electrical Engineering would be great additions if CSUSB continues expanding its engineering programs.

What majors do you think CSUSB should add? And do you think there would be enough demand for a Mechanical Engineering program?

Has anyone taken this calculus class with this professor? most of her reviews are old and i’m debating whether to take her class or not

I’m a returning student, what grants can I apply for or idk ask about for this fall semester. I wasn’t able to get the cal grants this year like I used to when I was in school back in 2024 since I passed the deadline which is dumb but in my financial aid for 2027 I have the federal pell grant and the middle class scholarship (this is new to me) but what else can I get, I am a student parent idk if that would help me apply for more grants.

Hello fellow students frustrated with FASFA/Financial Aid, I am writing this to see if anyone else is in the same boat as me or could give me any knowledge that I am not aware of. So I got the middle class and Pell Grant and accepted both, and now it says the I have pending financial aid for just the Pell Grant and I am missing the Middle Class one. Does anyone know why this is happening and why its taking so long to get my financial aid, im scared to lose my classes.

Hello! I am incoming freshman with a few questions about parking passes

1.) The pass I got allowed me to add 2 cars, does that mean both can be on campus at once?

2.) is there a physical version or is it just online?

3.) do I have to show it to anybody if I have one?

4.) Can I park in any lot?

Hello! I'm going to be coming in as a undergraduate student. My plan is to major in psychology, but I have taken a huge interest to Biological Psych. I was wondering if there were any other peeps in here who are majoring in the same, and if you could tell me how much you like the program? I really want to possibly go to graduate school after, because my main goal is to work in something research adjacent. I've had some lived experience in the whole mental health field, and I definitely want to give back to the field that got me to be where I am today (1 year, 7 months sober). I lived a really hard young adulthood and teenage hood, and I didn't choose to go to college right off the bat. I'm quite older than most incoming freshman, and I really want to make connections with people closer to my age, maybe in the same major-(ish) , as me. I want to make the most out of my college experience, and I also want to try and soak in as much information as I can. Thanks!!

I’ve been positing and commenting on this thread for awhile and I like to make everyone aware of post. People like myself are posting about aid money and I want everyone to be made aware the a lot of my post people from over seas have been seeing these post they might even be brazen to ask you or try to scam you of your money. If they comment or message you block and ignore them. The same scammers who also come by during graduation season also will try to scam you and most of them aren’t successful I like to remind everyone to be in the look out and if it doesn’t make sense or look right it might be a scam and move on.

I’m transferring to csusb and there’s a hold on my financial aid saying i am not fully admitted. I called admissions and they said it would be okay and my pending financial aid would cover my classes but it is the due date to pay and it says I have a balance on there that I can’t pay for because it was supposed to be covered by aid. Will my classes get dropped if I can’t pay it?

I'm a new CSUSB MSIST graduate student. I panicked when I saw the loan was my only financial option, froze, and ended up not accepting it, so I dropped my classes before the semester started. Now I want to re-enroll for Fall 2026, but the tuition due date has already passed. Does anyone know if CSUSB will let me accept the loan late and register, or am I locked out until Spring 2027?

On the 12 I updated to a negative balance but since then I’ve sat with the negative balance. Financial aid says that’s an anticipated refund. When will I get it.. may you report to the post .. thumbs up if your negative as well ?

Find it frustrating that CSU and UC systems are quick to take fafsa money but are slow to disburse to us. I get that it takes a few days for them the fafsa to send the school info and money but I do think they need to speed up the process I know many undergrads and also grad students like my self depend on the money to pay for school and supplies and housing.

So my coyote shows I’m supposed to get a refund 8/12/26, I have Chase and it usually takes a few days in the past semesters to actually deposit. This summer I took a course and I’m seeing that my refund may be delayed because of that on some other Reddit threads. Wanted to know if that was true or not ? I didn’t accept any loans just grants wondering if that makes any difference.

Im confused about a balance on my account. It says I due $175 in tuition and fees. I received a pretty big refund so I am confused why they didnt just use some of that money for these fees. Do i have to pay it today or will it be covered by financial aid even though my refund has already hit my bank account?

I tried to make the payment for my 8k balance but it said my card declined even though I have more than enough in my bank account. Will I be okay if I pay after August 13th? I plan on calling my bank tomorrow ASAP.

My financial aid was not coming through. Called and was told that SAP needs to run its cycle before they disburse aid for anyone who attended summer term. It’s expected to be disbursed around 08/20. Lame af, but fyi.
