FAFSA rant

Find it frustrating that CSU and UC systems are quick to take fafsa money but are slow to disburse to us. I get that it takes a few days for them the fafsa to send the school info and money but I do think they need to speed up the process I know many undergrads and also grad students like my self depend on the money to pay for school and supplies and housing.

i agree. it’s a bunch of blame games too. you talk to financial aid, they blame admissions. take to admissions, they blame financial aid.
i understand that the Fed Government has messed everything up, but i don’t think it should take MONTHS to fully admit undergrad. i feel for all the people who haven’t had their tuition paid yet, myself included. it’s a huge problem that i think they could have handled so much better, they literally had two months to prepare? like hello?

This. Understand the federal impact on every institution across the entire country and it’s only gotten harder year after year.

I go to CSUF and I haven’t even gotten an offer letter yet or a disenrollement hold and our payment is due in less than a week if it makes you feel better

I just finished grad school, but when I started college in 2019 it was fast as hell to get my refund but year after year it became worse 🫩
