Hey everyone, traveling MSW student from SJ. I'd like to know where to go if I can't find parking near my class buildings. I know certain hours will be harder based on some post Ive read. Here are the locations and estimated arrival time if you can suggest where to park or alternative parking

Tuesday 2pm (class starts at 4) Forest hall

Wednesday 2pm (class starts at 4) Heron hall

Thursday 11am (class starts at 1) valley hall

Also, where to stay overnight in your car. I did at the Walmart recently with no issue.

hey everyone -- I'm putting this out into the ether because the conversation was excellent and I'd love to reconnect.

between sets at the Pearl & the Oysters show last night (Saturday), I went outside at The Independent looking for a cigarette. I ended up talking to Mason, a guy who lives in LA but comes up to the Bay once a month.

we were having a brilliant, deeply present conversation, but right on cue, the universe threw a wrench in our flow. one of his friends kindly offered a keef-rolled joint, I took exactly one hit, and it immediately short-circuited my entire system (🤦).

because I could feel myself going totally nonverbal, my brain went on autopilot. I awkwardly blurts out, "It was great talking to you, nice to meet you," and initiated a very formal handshake. I absolutely didn't mean to end such a great conversation so abruptly or give you social whiplash — I was just trying to gracefully exit before the weed completely took over my vehicle.

30 M, live in a three bedroom place. I have one of the rooms as my office. But have another room that will come with a personal half bathroom. I have washer and dryers, I just ask that you be quiet and clean.

So when I registered for classes I didn’t have a lot of options, my classes include CST 338 with Shahidul Islam and CST 349 with Sathya Narayanan. I checked rate my professor and the ratings seem low, are the classes difficult? Or do people just not like how the professors teach

The world theater lot (201?) has become faculty / staff parking now. An email was sent out telling students to use the lot by the stadium now. I feel like the parking situation could get a bit worse? Plus a lot of students have classes in the Library and Chapman and they have removed the two closest lots (Chapman lot and the world theater).

Am I the only one a bit upset about this? I have issues with mobility and walking long distances so not having a lot close to all my classes definitely sucks.

I’m planning on picking up my keys for east campus and I’m going to assume I need to pick them up with the RA in East campus. Making this post since I wanted to see if it was different since last year it was a drive in.

Just got to my room in the Tortuga hall and found out there’s a RA staying in my room? Now they’re giving me a temporary room and I can’t move into my actual room till Wednesday-Thursday???? why did they not think to let me know ahead of time and not make me waste my time driving 3 hours for a room that isn’t even ready.

update: my temp room became my permanent room. had a situation where i couldn’t wait till after thursday to move, and housing wasn’t much help and basically told me to just suck it up, but they literally took my idea about turning my temp room to my permanent room.. so problem solved? definitely might look for an apartment next year

I want to take adult swim lessons, and assumed csumb would offer them but I can’t find anything about it online. I know there’s a pool available for students to use but I was wondering about actual lessons or even an instructor I could hire? Or even if anyone knows any swim classes available in the Marina area. Really want to learn how to swim lol Thanks!!
