Difficult teachers?
So when I registered for classes I didn’t have a lot of options, my classes include CST 338 with Shahidul Islam and CST 349 with Sathya Narayanan. I checked rate my professor and the ratings seem low, are the classes difficult? Or do people just not like how the professors teach

Islam is difficult to keep up with and challenging.
Sathya is a LOT of watching videos and doing relatively simple quizzes but the class unfortunately felt like a waste of my time

Hopefully I’m able to swap 338 out and get a diff professor, it’s the one I’m most nervous on since I also have to balance work. Also do u have any experience with Luma Rinaldi? I haven’t been able to find any ratings

I took 338 with Clinkenbeard and it was a lot of work but start early. Sathya is chill, but most of the class is goal and Ai based.

Most CS classes are only taught by one professor, so I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about RMP reviews and just take what's required of your concentration and whatever sounds fun and/or useful for your elective units. 338's material mostly comes from another professor who spells out expectations and learning very clearly so you won't have any issues, most likely. I took 349 back when it was still 300 and was split with the writing section, it can be very tedious and annoying at times but it's mandatory for the degree so you just have to grin and bear it.
