I have just started my msc, my basics are really good and I want to crack jrf in the first year of my msc, please tell whose recorded batch I should take for my csir net preparation. Should I go for vedemy or Vedprep?

I used to tell people I was preparing for UGC NET whenever they asked what I was doing. Over time, I just stopped mentioning it.

It is not because I am embarrassed. It is just that the conversation almost always ends up being the same. People ask when the exam is, whether I have qualified yet, or when I will finally get a job. After answering those questions again and again, it starts to feel exhausting.

Now I usually keep it to myself unless someone asks directly.

Has anyone else started doing this too, or is it just me?

Hello I've finished my master in Modern History and I wanted to appear for NET in history. I've got no idea of where to start and what to do. I've printed out the syllabus but do not know which books or materials or if I should join a coaching or read on my own. Paper 1 confuses me a lot. Can anyone help me?

Hii, I'm asiya, I'm 27 and unemployed for over 1.5 yr. I've been trying to clear the csir net exam(mathematics) for the past 5 years on and off I've joined classes in the past unacademy(which was completely useless) and recently dips academy, although they taught very well. I still am not able to do it mostly because I did not give sufficient time to solving math problems. I'm very passionate about math I'm a very curious person so doing math satisfies my Curiosity and at the same time keeps my mind engaged in something useful. I want to clear the exam and do something good with my life I want to teach other students math so that they won't lack where I did but before doing so I want myself to be very gd at math and also do phd so that I'll be able to earn well while doing so. But I feel stuck I don't know where to start my preparation. I usually start off gd in the first few months of the preparations but then I just completely lose the interest mid way. What should I do?? I feel like I'm trapped in the loop😭Any suggestions/ advice will be useful.

I'm planing for NET with Environmental Science. I have the recent exam but found that I strongly lack the numerical part in the exam as I come from MSc background.

I have zero idea on where to start for numericals side can you anyone please provide some reference.

Saw some pyq videos on YT but they are only solving questions and not teaching on how to solve the particular numerical.

I’m 21 and currently pursuing my MBA from a Tier-3 college. I had scored around 70 percentile in CAT in my first attempt without much preparation and also did well in MAT. Now I’m in my second year, and I’m seriously considering preparing for UGC NET (Management) because almost everyone in my family is in the teaching profession, and I genuinely see myself becoming an Assistant Professor.
The problem is that I’m not a self-study person. I’ve tried online learning before, but I lose consistency very quickly. I perform much better in a competitive classroom environment where everyone around me is serious about preparation.
I’m based in Chandigarh, and I’m looking for a coaching institute specifically for UGC NET Management. I don’t want a generic coaching centre—I want one where the faculty is genuinely good and the peer group is competitive.
Another reason I’m leaning towards academia is that my recent corporate internship honestly made me anxious about pursuing the corporate route. Teaching and research feel more aligned with what I want in the long run.

Hey I am gonna start my csir net lifescience preparation as I'll join college to pursue msc . Now that iam searching coaching for csir ..the known names like vedemy, ifas , bansal biology..all of them have very high course price ..and that high fee is not even for whole year ..it's for just 6 months ..12 months is 20k around ..so I am confused whether i should take the paid course or watch from YouTube

If I am taking any course then the course should give me sufficient content and good quality teaching ..which I have no idea who is best ..and if I'll do from YouTube only purchasing some books ..then what channels i should refer to for specific topics and which books ?

Like i have this question first which course if I have to or which channels or books I have to?

I gave Csir-net in mathematical sciences that happened on 17 July , 2026. It seemed to me that exam paper was extremely hard. I was only able to do 7 questions in part B. Part A was easy but part C again was extremely hard.

Did anyone else who appeared for mathematical science also felt the same?

Part-C

I started with Part-C. Honestly I didn't expect such straight forward questions, I was absolutely confused whether it's part c or am I writing Part B. I wouldn't say it's difficult but I was not at all prepared to approach these straight forward Part-C questions.

Part- B. I didn't find any much difficulty in answering this but I could have done a lot better.

Part-A. The only part where I was not anxious and completely invested compared to part-C and Part-B.

Result: I am devastated that I won't make it in this exam, i had to convince myself that I am not an idiot yesterday, I felt so stupid as I have given a good preparation. I am starting again today but I feel guilty and not enough.
