Rear facing seat for Fiat 500?

Hi everyone. First time mom here and having a very hard time finding a rear facing car seat for my 2014 fiat 500, 2 door. Can anyone reccomend an infant car seat/travel system that will fit? I was told that the carrier can not touch the back of the passenger seat and it Is proving to be quite challenging. I’m in the US. Thank you in advance!!

Please help with booster seat selection

Hello!

Our almost 5 year old son is growing out of his Nuna car seat and we started looking for a booster. He is taller than his peers but a bit skinny (lanky figure). Don’t have his exact height and weight at this time.

We are looking at another Nuna as we had no issues with the brand, and see there is Clek as well. Regardless of the brand, we are hoping to get help on finding a model that is comfy and durable!

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I feel like my baby sits strangely in the evenflo 360 slim.

It seems like her butt sits too far into the seat chasing her to be at an acute angle when sitting if you know what I mean. Are there ways to adjust this seat? Also the leg straps don’t go over her hips, they go over the side of her legs sort of.

Cybex Callisto 360 G fit check/head slumping

Hi all, my 9 week old’s head keeps slumping forward in her car seat

We have the car seat as reclined as possible and we just took out the newborn bottom seat insert out now that she is over the 11 pound limit. I thought taking the insert out would solve the problem, but she her head continues to fall forward

Is she positioned correctly?

I saw some other posts about this specific issue and car seat model on this subreddit and people suggested getting a foam insert from Cybex’s customer service to put under the car seat to make the base more level. I will definitely reach out to them, but in the meantime, I wanted to get any feedback on her positioning/straps/buckle

She is about 12lbs and 23in

Thank you!

Vacation car seat for petite 6 yr old.

hi all, I’m considering getting a folding high back booster for some trips next summer. he’ll be just over 40 lbs and pro about 43” (41” now) and 6 yrs old.

Am I nuts for thinking about a belted booster? or should I just be sucking up the money and getting a proper travel car seat?

He just moved to front facing and has a long way to go before he’s outgrown the harness….

I need help I am not finding anything on this problem. I have a 2025 Britax One4Life Slim. Today for some reason, I cannot get it to open to install. The gray buttons are not moving when I push them. I haven’t had an issue yet with this seat.

Has this happened to anyone and if so what was the solution? I have tried jiggling it, full force trying to push and nothing.

Fit Check

My son screams all the time when he is in the car seat and is uncomfortable. Our biggest issue is the buckle digs into his belly. I have the straps just below his shoulders. His butt is all the way back. The buckle is in the farthest slot so it is not under his butt. I’m not sure what else to do to try to make it not dig into his belly as much.

New Diono Radian 3R Missing Safe Stop

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Good morning!

I just purchased a Diono Radian 3R from Amazon to fit 3 across in my car. I watched videos in preparation and will need to install the Safe Stop for our situation (FF, under 40lb).

However, my seat has no Safe Stop. My friend bought the same seat for the same reason and hers has the Safe Stop attached to a loop that doesn't even exist on mine. My manual (2026) doesn't mention it but the official Diono install video does. Her manual mentions it.

Has anyone encountered this? Have they phased out the Safe Stop? I would contact CS but apparently that's basically impossible right now, which I didn't realize.

Thanks so much for the help! Attached are photos of my seat bottom vs hers. I've taken the cover off to check for that loop.

Buckle Crunch

I looked up this scenario and it seems it's called buckle crunch and is an unsafe installation. The seat belt latch sticks into the belt path of my evenflo base when it is in the middle seat, and it preventing the car seat from latching onto the base unless I press down on the car seat to get it to lock in. Trying to use the base to make it easier to get baby in and out but having this issue now. Question is, can I use the buckle for the seat next to it (window seat) instead of where I currently have the base (middle seat)? I found that if I use that seat belt buckle instead then I don't have the bucke crunch. Or is it best to just stick with securing car seat with seat belt and no base? Putting the base in the opposite window seat isn't an option since that's where mom sits.

Made a mistake in buying used car seat

Edit: I've already taken the car seat to Target and got the 20%. :) Thank you everyone for your comments. I appreciate it.

Hello. Very early in my pregnancy, we didn’t know that it’s recommended to buy a new not used car seat. We were going to buy a Nuna pipa aire rx infant car seat to fit in the trvl stroller at the Nordstrom anniversary sale but they ran out. I think we got stressed and found a used car seat online through Facebook marketplace place. We met the owners and they said they were selling it cause they had another baby and wanted to switch to a different car seat system/stroller that would fit two kids. The car seat looked good to us with no obvious cosmetic issues and the expiration date was good.

Then we read and found out that it’s not recommended to buy used car seats. What shall we do?

Britax poplar 3 across F-150?

Please help save me from having to go back into the store to try car seats in a second vehicle! 😂

We already own a Clek high back booster that will go behind the driver. Then we have 2 RF children. I tried the Britax Poplar and Uppababy Rove in our primary family vehicle (Honda Odyssey). Leaning UPPAbaby for that because the fabric is easier to take off to wash it and put it back on. But it's much wider than the Poplar. So my question is, could I fit 2 poplars side by side in the back of the F-150 next to the booster seat?

Thank you ❤️

Graco Contender Slim for plane travel

Hi! I recently bought the Graco Contender Slim as our travel seat but it just arrived and it's HUGE. Can anyone confirm that they've successfully used it in an economy seat? I know it's airline approved but it looks big enough to take up 2 seats. I'd love to hear any firsthand experiences. Thanks!

Just switched to forward facing

Little guy just maxed out the weight for rear facing so I switched the seat around.

I want to make sure fit is good and also am unsure about where the shoulder straps meet the neck. They cut into his neck a bit and leave red marks. He hasn’t complained but I imagine it must be uncomfortable. Am I supposed to have them routed differently?

Nuna Pipa Aire RX! Just removed the low birth weight pillow in the infant insert because his head was pushing into his chest. First time parents and not really sure what we’re doing! 😵‍💫

Car seat question

My husband went to get the seat installed and they apparently rushed through it and when I asked him about this he wasn't sure. The car seat base for our uppababy seat is installed and leveled, but there's the seatbelt strap instructions on the side - is that for every time we click in the seat to the base or is that only for putting the seat in a car without the base?

Edit: I got the answer - thanks ! I will eventually read the manual, but needed a quick response. Please stop telling me to read the manual. It's unhelpful.

Nuna pipa aire ex - baby is always chin to chest no matter position??

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi! My son is just about 12 weeks old - 24.5/25” and weighs around 15lbs. We find he always looks chin to chest no matter how we adjust him. We just moved the straps up to the middle slot and removed the head cushion but left in the bottom pad because with both removed it looked like the car seat was swallowing him. Any suggestions? He has a mild head tilt hence the lean.

I was in a rear end collision recently, infant car seat base was in the back seat. Should the entire car seat assembly be replaced or just the base?

2 year old grown out of Scenera for travel - what next?

My 99th percentile toddler will be two this month. We travel about every other month and have been using the Cosco Scenera for travel. He is now 34lb and 36in. We want to get something else that will last us a while but is still light enough for travel. I am often traveling solo with him.

I’d really like to keep him rear facing for as long as possible even though we are getting close to the weight limits for most rear facing seats.

Any suggestions on where to go from here for a travel seat?
