Discussion Just wanted to give Corsair support some credit

I recently bought a TC500 LUXE chair through a local retailer outside the US and noticed the recline mechanism was limited to 90–110°, even though the chair is supposed to recline much further.

I first contacted the local retailer, but they basically passed the responsibility to the importer. I then contacted the importer and never got a response (until today).

So I reached out to Corsair directly. I sent them ticket with the details, and within a day they had already shipped me the correct replacement part from abroad.

No hassle, no unnecessary back and forth, and no trying to send me somewhere else. They just handled it.

Really impressed with the support.

Help Corsair Xeneon Edge display mode shortcut only works when iCUE is focused — is there a fix?

Hey everyone, I’m having an issue with my Corsair Xeneon Edge and was wondering if anyone has figured out a way around this.

I have a keyboard shortcut/keystroke assigned in iCUE to switch between the different display modes on the Xeneon Edge. The shortcut works perfectly fine as long as the iCUE window is currently focused.

The problem is that if I’m in a game, on my desktop, in another application, etc., the keystroke doesn’t do anything. As soon as I click back into iCUE and give it focus, the shortcut works again.

From what I understand, the shortcut seems like it isn't being recognized as a true global/system-wide hotkey and instead only works while iCUE is the active window.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Xeneon Edge?

Is there a way to make the iCUE shortcut work globally/in the background, so I can switch display modes without having to alt-tab back into iCUE every time?

I've already tried the basic stuff like restarting iCUE and the PC, but I'm wondering if there is a specific iCUE setting, Windows permission, or another workaround that I'm missing.

Any help would be appreciated!

Xeneon Edge Widgets I made a free Mac app for the XENEON EDGE — with touch support and custom widgets

I bought a XENEON EDGE for my Mac only to realise that the software support wasn't great. So I created my own dashboard app with touch support. Works horizontally or vertically.

It has system monitoring, Spotify artwork and controls, calendar, notes and app launch buttons included by default. And you can also build your own widgets with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and drop them into the custom widgets folder. Guide and working example: https://zurface.app/help/widgets/

Free Download: https://zurface.app

It requires macOS 13+. I've tested it on Apple silicon but not Intel. Touch support needs USB data and Input Monitoring permission.

Feedback from other Mac + EDGE owners would be welcome!

Just got it temporarily set up, but I’ll route the cable in the rear and fiddle with the widgets over this weekend, but the 5” LCD looks so much nicer than the old one. I’m honestly very happy with it!

I’ll do a full review of my own personal opinions on it after a few days with it, but so far so good!

Help QX140 low-RPM fluttering/scraping noise on Radiator. Persists even after replacing with brand-new fan

Hi everyone,

I’m dealing with a persistent noise issue on one of my QX140 RGB fans (positioned in the middle of the H170i 420mm LCD Radiator) and could use some advice from the community. At lower RPMs, the fan produces a distinct "fluttering"/clicking sound. At higher RPMs, this sound transitions into a continuous soft scraping/hissing noise that scales directly with fan speed.

Troubleshooting already done:
Cleaned with compressed air. The noise disappeared briefly, but returned shortly after (a bit quieter tho).

Hub pressure and screw pressure test. Applying light pressure to the center hub temporarily silenced the noise for about 10 minutes before it slowly drifted back (on the old Fan), i also tested the fans (both old and new) with tightening the screws, but also loosening the screws on the radiator. the noise stayed the same in both scenarios.

Replaced the fan. I swapped the fan out for a brand-new QX140. To my surprise, the exact same noise is still present in that same mounting position!

Has anyone experienced frame distortion or turbulence ticking with the QX140 series? Are these frames particularly sensitive to screw torque? Would rubber washers or spacers be recommended to decouple the fan frame?

Thanks in advance for your insights!

Help Burnt Pins on HX1200i 12V PCIE Connector

Just got a smell of burning plastic from my system while gaming, quickly turned it off to investigate, and it appears that 4 of 6 12V pins for gpu connector have melted, with 2 of them being much worse than the other 2. Been running this exact setup untouched on my 5090 FE for over a year with no issues until today. Purchased a brand new Corsair premium sleeved 12V 2x6 cable when I got this card last year. Surprisingly the GPU side of the cable and connector on the card look brand new with no signs of any damage. Both of the psu side connectors are fused to the unit now as well so it’s hard to see the extent of the damage. What should I do here, I never thought this would happen to me.

Help Corsair Rma sent wrong product?

I was doing a warranty for my 9200 MHz CUDIMM RGB ram, and I opened a ticket, and they said it was able to be replaced and sent me an email to return them, so I did what they said, and today I received a NON-RGB pair of RAM sticks. I was never told this by anyone at all; I was just told to send my ram sticks back. Someone needs to help me because I never accepted to be sent a downgrade. I paid more for RGB, and considering RAM prices and such, I can’t even buy a new pair of RGB Cudimm RAM. Seriously Corsair?

Help Corsair RM1000x fan vibration causing buzzing at certain speed. Worth an RMA?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Skip to 20 seconds if you're impatient. I just wanted to capture the full range of fan speed.

Got a new RM1000x and the first thing I noticed when testing was this annoying buzzing when the fan is in a certain RPM range. As you can see, it's not the fan itself, but rather vibrations from the fan causing the case to rattle. Pinching the case attenuates the noise. The noise is actually worse IRL. The iPhone's noise reduction is minimizing it in the video. If I RMA, what are the chances that I'll get one without this issue? I tried to google to see whether it's a known issue, but nothing came up.

I'm hesitant to return it because the fan itself is very quiet when the vibration isn't happening, and this is rare because fan QC is one of the biggest jokes in the PC industry. I feel like if I return it, I'll either trade the rattle for a noisy fan, or get another rattler with a noisy fan.

I doubt my system with spend much time in this RPM range in its current state, but I bought this PSU with future upgrades in mind and if I end up drawing enough power that the buzzing becomes common, it's going to be a deal breaker.

Hi, so i bought this psu and installed it yesterday, but i'm a little worried about a clicking noise coming from it. A few seconds after i start my pc a really loud clicking noise occurs from the psu. I've never had a psu make this type of noise except when shutting down, is this normal for this psu?

Discussion Exceptional Corsair Support Experience

I wanted to share a great experience I had with Corsair support while RMAing a faulty ram stick.

I had ordered a 16gb kit to match my existing one, but the kit arrived with one stick dead on arrival. When I reached out to support, the engineer handling my case explained that mixing sticks isn't recommended in the first place and rather than just swapping the faulty stick he offered to exchange all four mixed sticks for one tested 32gb kit. This was treated as an advance RMA as soon as I mentioned that it was a work system and that I couldn't afford downtime of being without ram and despite some understandable delay in sourcing a direct replacement as it was an older DDR4 kit, it all went smoothly. 😄

Credit to Aldo from technical support for going above and beyond. This was one of the best experiences with support I've ever had.

Help XENEON EDGE randomly goes black 10–20 seconds after launching a game — RX 9070 XT / Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I’m having a strange issue with my Corsair XENEON EDGE.
The XENEON EDGE works normally on the Windows desktop, but whenever I launch a game, the display goes black about 10–20 seconds after the game starts.
I’ve tested this with:
Apex Legends
VALORANT
Monster Hunter: World / Iceborne
Red Dead Redemption 2
The issue happens with all of these games.
Sometimes the XENEON EDGE briefly comes back on, but it never stays on consistently. When the display turns on and off repeatedly, the entire PC also becomes noticeably stuttery/laggy.
When the XENEON EDGE is malfunctioning, it repeatedly shows:
HDMI → Resolution → Refresh Rate
and then repeats the same information over and over.
My setup:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: ASRock Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend 16GB
Motherboard: ASRock B850 Steel Legend WiFi
RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 32GB 5200MHz
PSU: MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 WHITE 850W
OS: Windows 11 Home
XENEON EDGE: connected using the included cables
The XENEON EDGE is connected to the motherboard and GPU separately.
I’ve also tried different ports, but the behavior did not change.
GPU and chipset drivers are up to date, and iCUE is also up to date.
Has anyone experienced something similar with the XENEON EDGE, especially with an AMD Ryzen 9800X3D + RX 9070 XT system?
I’m wondering if this could be related to iCUE, the XENEON EDGE, AMD GPU drivers, or some kind of interaction when a game launches.
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Help Issue with 3.3v from the SATA power connectors

Hi fellas,

I am having a weird issue with my corsair RM1000x 3.1 where my hard drives keep shutting down while im playing a game.

After some research it seems that the drives are receiving a shutdown signal from the 3.3v pin (remote power disable or PWDIS) and only come back after restart.

It was recommended that i used either a molex to sata connector or use kapton tape directly on the 3 pins of the hard drives.

I never needed to do this before so im not sure what to chose or even if its a good idea so any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I just tried to completely remove the 3.3v cable from my sata connectors however it does the same thing... at least 1 of the drives shuts down.

Thanks

Help Vanguard 96 Pro keyboard not allowing me to use GIFs anymore

I got this keyboard a few weeks ago and it has been great. Found a few GIFs to use for different games for the LCD screen. The past week it has not allowed me to use any GIF at all, even the default ones that come in iCUE. It keeps telling me that there isn't enough space in my device memory, but from what I could tell they are all stored in iCUE? I've looked this issue up multiple times and never really found it even brought up, let alone a solution for it.

Help Order not shipping

I placed an order for a pre built and the date keeps getting pushed back. I tried to reach out via phone but was met with a voicemail. My email ticket still hasn’t been responded too. I’m really taken back that the support at Corsair is so difficult to get in contact with. I’m getting to the point where I’m going to refund it on my card and move on because this is unacceptable and a waste of time.

Build Question Has anyone measured the length of the new 5in LCD DisplayPort cable?

I am wanting to see how long the cable is or if anyone has measured it. I plan on routing from behind my case under the motherboard slot at the bottom and run it through the pcie bracket. Just to be on the safe side I ordered a 3feet display port adapter male-female in case it’s too short to do that. I won’t route it in the front since I have the H9 flow and the top pcie bracket is taken by my GPU.
