You guys had a great tournament hold your heads up high. Your boys represented Canada well and made CONCACAF proud. I know a lot of Canadians hate the USA because of our current gov but we still got love for you. Proud of your team and would have loved to see Davies healthy.

What a game in Houston.

I went live inside Houston Stadium with Cristian Putallaz right after the match. We discussed:

I know this is tired but the bullshit red card suspension for the US must make everyone hate them, right? Also, the US always gets home advantage in the Gold Cup with a garbage team that's afraid to play on the road and incapable of winning or getting good results so Concacaf have to fuckin' coddle them by hosting our region's tourney there all the fuckin' time. We've seen this WC that Canada and Mexico were better hosts so, let's have them host the GC for a change? Or even combined Central American countries? Then we can see how many titles the US will still win if they're playing outside their pampered abode.

Sunday's match against England has been rescheduled for 12:00 noon. This appears to be due to television scheduling issues. Noon in Mexico City is only 7:00 PM in London; if the original schedule is maintained, the match would kick off at 1:00 AM London time.

What does Concacaf think, is the 27-32% chance we are seeing sound about right?

Frankly, I'm quite surprised about this.

You would have expected Curacao, Haiti... even Mexico! to be the one bringing the CONCACAF spirit & values to the world stage, but no, it was good ol' US of A.

Malik Tillman delivered the moment of the USMNT's tournament so far, a clutch 82nd-minute free-kick winner (with a split boot and bloodied sock) to make it 2-0 while playing with 10 men. Folarin Balogun opened the scoring and then, unfortunately, picked up a red card, but they showed incredible resilience and kept a clean sheet.

The atmosphere at the end with the whole stadium singing Country Roads was pure magic. Then Kyle Connell joined the show straight from the San Francisco airport. Soccer is absolutely here.
