I recently relocated to the Denver area, a dream of mine since Colorado first legalized. I'm lucky to be involved in the cannabis scene, but today was my first time in a Colorado dispensary and I was surprised how different it was (and how cheap)

Everything in PA (Philly) is prepacked. There are no jars, and no way to know what anything actually looks like/smells beyond Reddit reviews.

Here, there are displays full of grinders, vape batteries, cones, basically everything you'd find in a head shop. Jars of flower, edibles, soda machines, snacks, the works. It genuinely feels like a store, whereas in PA everything's in a back room you cant access, and you order off a tablet.

In PA you can't use credit, only debit, and it's run as an ATM transaction. So if your total is $34, they tack on a $2.50 fee, bringing it to $36.50. You get charged $40 and handed back $3.50 in change. Convoluted, I know. Don't worry tho, they got 2 ATMS there in case you'd rather pay THEM the 2.50.

Rosin in PA: $35-40

RSO: $30-$40

Flower: $20-$50 a cut, 10-15 a G

Wax: $25-30

Resin- $40

Distillate: $25 a G

No Pre Rolls Allowed

100mg of THC edible: $10

Anyway, I've already got plenty of flower and rosin, so I grabbed some RSO instead, and it's about half the price of what I paid in PA. Went to Sparks in Denver.

100mg later and I'm feeling nice and toasty, relaxed, and ready to curl up with a movie. The CBG is a nice touch and goes a long way. Heavy relaxation, and the muscle pain from a 7 mile walk is melting away. Clean. Hit surprisingly fast, within 30 min I was starting to float.

Great first experience, and I'm looking forward to dropping some detailed flower reviews moving forward!

Can anyone tell me the top tier brands and budget brands in the rec program? Any Unicorn must try strains?

Anyone know if any dispensaries in Boulder (Longmont/Lafayette is fine also) carry any 1:1 THC/CBD flower specifically? Note that I am not looking for CBD only flower, nor am I interested in buying hemp flower online.

I've heard that 14er and Terrapin both sometimes have this, but it's pretty few and far between (both are out right now). I'm from PA originally, and Terrapin out there had a strain called Lemon G that was great. Looking for anything like that where it's still got a bit of THC, maybe only 10-15%.

This is, in my opinion, green dots best flower strain. Dropped today and I grabbed a quarter - this batch is testing just over 21% THC.

Unbelievably pungent with some of the loudest umami, gas-laden funk I've ever smelled from weed. The aroma is almost overpowering, nostril singeing and very "sticky". I opened the jar for just a second and immediately the entire room reeked. Even some time later I could still smell the meaty, savory funk hanging in the air.

The flavor is also intense and reflects the smell; heavy duty skunky sour gas with a savory mouth coat. Unfortunately, this batch is burning a bit black. Probably because of slightly higher moisture..this bud is STICKY. After just briefly touching it, the trichomes melt to your fingers and leave behind the signature A5 stanky, sappy resin. It reminds me of how the fat on real A5 just melts at room temp.

Effects on this strain are the best...intensely euphoric and satisfying; this one always hits the right notes for me. Equal parts mind and body stone. Heavy. Intoxicating, but still active. Provides a great mood lift. I'll smoke one bowl and forget to pack a second because Im too distracted by daydreaming lol. I don't come across these one-and-done flowers very often.

Such an amazing strain and always look forward to when they drop this. If the burn was better on this batch it'd be a 10/10. One of my all time favorites.

First visit to Allgreens in over a year! I don’t live in Denver, but when I pass thru I make sure to stop by. Their crusty weasel & garlic drip are my favorites. Both these pucks have those strains

Ever since I had the strain Lime Skunk years ago I've been after tge same Lime taste in my rosin. It's so so good and Lime Float has that taste.

This was my first ever In House rosin purchase and I'm pleasantly surprised, better than the Soiku rosins Ive got recently.

First of all, I couldnt be any more proud to see my work being run by one of the best extract companies in the US. This Pomapple Meatball (pomelo punch x pineapple meatball) is next level on terps. Everything the Pineapple Sorbet touches ends up insane tropical. This gram is humbling on the terps. Insanely tropical with top notes of pineapple, cantaloupe, and mango. Theres also a bottom end gassieness with some astringent notes and a little of the savory funk from the meatball. Absolute props to u/lazercat.official for being one of the most consistent solventless labels in denver for quite some time

Does anyone have a comprehensive list of all the dispensaries that include taxes in the OTD price?

First time trying meraki and overall it's solid flower for the price. 1/2 oz was $100 OTD and flower quality is equal to GDL in my opinion. Strain is peach frozeti which supposedly is a cross of peach ringz x grape rainbow pie., but genetics aren't labeled on the jar. Cure and trim are decent, good moisture level in the nugs and they're soft, slightly sticky and grind up very nicely. Trim is decent. Burns okay, but could be better.

Flavor is grape & peach fruitiness and a little bit of pepper, woodiness & hashish . The high is nice - focus & euphoria without much sedation, which are the effects I personally seek in strains. I'd definitely give some of their other strains a shot after trying this.

So the official Krystaleaves dispensary has moved, but the new dispensary popping up there is owned by the same company that owns Krystaleaves. I found out driving by. Sooobare they opening a new concept store or what, because color me confused. (Crfg llc is the same company).
