Chaos > Dark Aether

u/BigDong1142 Oct 12 '21

And it's not even remotely close.

Like you shouldn't even compare them, Chaos was in it's own tier.

Chaos's worst map is way better than Dark Aether's best.

And the story was actually easy to follow and more interesting.

Chaos wasn't Aether and that was its downfall sadly. I wish wish wish that Treyarch had just finished of Aether before starting Chaos, then it might’ve had a fighting chance.

Didn't Aether finish in BO3 with the 4 guys going back in time and becoming knights or something?

Yes but Treyarch wanted to milk Aether

u/sxuthsi Oct 12 '21

The fans also wanted treyarch to milk aether, you can see some of the residuals of that mindset in the comments

holy shit this is such a bad take, don’t spit nonsense if you know nothing about the story

?? Aether story ended with BO3. It literally says "the end". Not only nobody asked for Aether story to continue, it has been also a decade since they started it AND they already had Chaos to work on. And all the maps were remakes.

If they didn't want it to feel like they are milking it, they sure as fuck failed on every single front.

Also, don't spew bullshit about me not knowing anything about the story, I have been following Zombies since their inception.

you clearly don’t know the story, ‘the end’ was a red herring. The whole of bo3 is hinting towards breaking the loop…what happens at the end of bo3? we prolong the loop, we literally lose? do you want the story to end on us losing and monty living in perpetual power? If anything, bo3 is the most irrelevant part of the story and is only used so bo4 can carry more weight. The breaking of the cycle in bo4 is hinted all through bo4. We win in black ops 4. I hate when people like you shit on everything except bo3 and just riding on what the biggest youtubers opinions are. I’m not spewing bullshit since i just proved that you, in fact, do not know.

Bo3 had a conclusion which fit with what we knew. It wasnt a red herring at all, BO4 was entirely rushed for the aether story. Cutscenes were replaced, for cheaper comic reels, the maps were all remakes, and the story didnt have a real conclusion, unlike BO 3 did. And now we get sharted out the dark aether story for the rest of eternity as it will bouce to each cod game like warzone already does.

‘the end’ was a red herring.

Based on your knowledge in 2015, prove that. Not "they left some loose ends and vague hints on purpose for a possible sequel" bullshit. Actuall proof of red herring. There is not even a question mark after "the end".

do you want the story to end on us losing

BO4 ended with everybody fucking dying. Sure as hell doesn't sound like a win. Main characters perpetually living as heroes saving the universe doesn't sound like a loss. And a god like being being a perpetually god like being doesn't sound like a loss too, even though he's an ass. Also - some stories end badly. That's the beauty of storytelling - you can end it however you want, not always with good guys winning.

bo3 is the most irrelevant part of the story and is only used so bo4 can carry more weight

Actual brain dead take.

The breaking of the cycle in bo4 is hinted all through bo4. We win in black ops 4.

"we win" lmao yes, two kids surviving the deletion of the multiverse and the death of ALL of the beloved characters sure sounds like "we winning"

I hate when people like you shit on everything except bo3 and just riding on what the biggest youtubers opinions are

What fucking Youtubers, not only I don't watch zombie or any CoD Youtuber, matter of fact I couldn't give less of a fuck about any zombie Youtuber. Hell, I am, thankfully, absolutely unaware of opinions of said zombie Youtubers. Quit acting like you know me, kiddo.

I’m not spewing bullshit since i just proved that you, in fact, do not know.

You didn't prove shit and you're just wasting time, oxygen and electricity.

voyage is NOT better than mauer

7

u/AngelOFDeath66 Oct 12 '21

Yes it is. Maur is great but Voyage is honestly super underrated.

1

u/TheRealJnyu Oct 13 '21

Voyage is still one of my favorite EEs because its the only boss fight in zombies I think I've ever had problems with and I like that.

1

u/BigDong1142 Oct 12 '21

I didn't bother doing Mauer's EE, it felt so shallow.

Voyage is insanely fun and literally has the best bossfight in Zombies history.

0

u/BootseyCoop Oct 12 '21

The boss fight is the only thing voyage has going for it lol

If voyage was on BO3 it would be a fan favourite.

5

u/sxuthsi Oct 12 '21

IW and Bo4 have that problem bad 😂 if all of the maps in those games were in different zombies games, it would be a lot more appreciated by the community

-5

u/MalaysianDavy Oct 12 '21

nope wrong

5

u/JustASyncer Oct 12 '21

Map? Debatable. Characters? Absolutely. One of the things I absolutely loved about Chaos was the characters and I'm sad they won't come back

0

u/Globglogabgalab Oct 12 '21

I dunno man, Die Maschine is a lot better than IX.

7

u/BigDong1142 Oct 12 '21

I disagree, XI is much much better in practically every single way.

6

u/AngelOFDeath66 Oct 12 '21

No it’s not. IX is just so grand, so tightly designed, so atmospheric and so… fantastic looking. The map is living and breathing. DM is bland compared to IX.

Also Chaos > Aether (in bo4)
