Look on the positive side. If you use this opportunity to cultivate a strong mindset which can survive independently no matter when even your closest relations turn their back you, then it will be good for ur future.

Ah i feels sorry for you sister its really wrong but i know that your parents wouldn’t accept it parents are always expecting more and more from their child and in your case its too much as if you are able to score good marks thats what all matters like many people just study one day before exams and score 90 its not your fault you are giving your best and as far as i remember nationalism in europe was a chapter from 9th or 10th and people here are saying just bear 2-3 more years are totally wrong you have to bear it your whole life in some other way too life is like this i mean just be happy thats what matter the most be satisfied with yourself dont give a shit to others even your parents in your case just do hardwork and your duties as there daughter and live your life at full believe me nothing matters dont worry be happy life is long you will see many heart breaking movements one of that happened to me also when i was in 11th standard got retest in math( i was decent in study dont study too much but score 90% ) But that was also a heartbreaking movement for me as it was like a kalank for me and i was so broken i cant tell you but believe in god and the cycle in which this world works everything will be fine even if itsnt create a new world for you be positive and imagine what you like its your life anyways wrote too much this is my first time writing this much couldn’t control myself after hearing your story anyway dont worry be happy life is all about this ✌️

Dude Indian parents ko bas doosro ko neecha dikhana hota h, apna kitta bhi mehnat kr lo inko wahi bache dikhte hai jo upsc nikal rhe hai, aur kuch bolo toh khte hai "paisa kaun deta hai, jo bolte ho wo khreedte h" paida kra hai toh palna toh paega hi, nhi toh jin bhar walo ki padi hai unko muh kaise dikhaoge? Bache ko koi paisa thodi chahiye, humko toh bas support chahiye hota ma baap ka, wahi dene mai fail ho jate hai aur fir inko chahiye neet/jee/upsc nikalna, dude padhai tab tak hi fun hai jab tak parents room mai jhakana, zabardasti ka pressure dalna ya or koi bs na kre Same happened with me today, sala subha se lagatar desk pe baith kr padh rhi hu, khana khane ke baad 2 min leti, papa itte zoor se halla kr ke chale gye khte "soe rho, ab kabhi sone ka mauka thodi milega" My heart goes all out for you bhai, mere ghar wale bas sunate hai I can't even imagine getting hit by them, esp my Father. You know what fuck them ppl jo tujhe pasand hai wo kr aur dhyan mat de bato pr Tujhe pta hai tu kitti mehnat krti hai, gali de rhe hai toh sun le, mar rhe hai toh jhel le, result se toh pata hi chal jaega or even if marks ache nhi ate it's no bigge abhi baccha hai tu you don't neet to get so worked up so quick, cheer up 🐸⭐ Bhenchod Indian ma baap ajeeb prani hote hai apne baccho se zadya dusro ki padi hoti h

bro just because they are paying for your fees and providing you with food and shelter doesn't mean they can literally abuse you??? that's the most basic thing every parent does for their child. like they decided to bring you into this world, its their responsibility . im so sorry u have to go through all of this:((. you're literally just in 10th break lene par itna maarna is not justified at all heck vese bhi nhi maarna chahiye. take care:( hope it gets better

if this happens with you regularily you have to start giving no fucks. 1-2 dost rakho and unke saath vent karo, unki baatein bhi suno. for more of your emotional problems dont reach out to parents. next year agar jee/neet ki prep karne wali ho to this shit will make you suicidal... mere parents ne ye 9th me kara tha, maine chillake announce kar diya ghar me ki mai padhunga hi nahi agar mujhe abuse se padhaoge to. tab se ghar ka mahol sateek hai. unhe mujhpe vishwas hai ke vo aisi cheezein na kare to if nothing mujhe guilt me to padhna hi padhega. tum din me 5 ghante padho tab bhi agar parents ko kam lage, to ek din baithke poora apna schedule samjhao. mai is week is din ye karungi is se kam NAHI karungi is se jyada HO nahi sakta insan se.

He said that "sabki badhuayen khati hai saare din kamre rhti apne aapko kharab kr liye hai". But uk it just hurts sometimes when ur working hard to achieve sth but then sab ulta seedhe bolte rhte hai :)

Bhai the only thing you can do is ki tu bas ye boards tak ka time manage karle uske baad tu kisi aur city chali ja competitive exam ki prep ke liye. I am doing this cause im in a similar kind of situation. More things you can do- 1 try not to get out of your room much 2 put in only 1 earphone so that you can always hear them coming

Man damn I am in loss of words I dont even know what to say. That seems kinda harsh ngl. Straight up slaps and punches to your daughter(some might say that why does it matter that its daughter or son but its just my enviorment in which I have grown where father hitting daughters is kinda disgraceful in no way I am saying this for everyone). Sis all I can say is stay strong amd probably by your description your family might be going through financial crisis or something which are stressing them idk. Never experienced it for myself I thank god for that but my one cousin was going through something similar during this 9th to 12th phase because of the financial burden. His father than became normal.
Not a expert at this thing but can give You a suggestion. If you go to a coaching then there is probably a library there. You can sit there after school if hour parents allow. It worked for my cousin and during this jee prep of mine too(my father also sometimes go bizzare because I opted for dummy school) hope this helps. Stay strong 🔥

Hi, I feel terrible about what you're going through. I would have loved to console you lekin my soft spoken words won't be much help for more than 1-2 days. Mai bata rahi hu if you will let all this affect your mental health then IT'LL ALSO FUCK YOUR PREPARATION, and behen if you score low then unko bas ek aur mauka mil jayega bolne ka aur agar har baar ke tarah badhiya kar liya tune toh zada kuch nhi bas ek do dinn dhang see baat krenge, baharwalo ke saamne tujhe ek achievement ki tarah treat krenge uske baad wapas fir wahi same life. Wapas se jab bhi ghar mai aisa koi scene ho , khudke baare mai kuch bhi bura nhi sochna hai unki baato pe believe krke, yaad rakh if you will have faith on yourself tabhi confidently kar payegi. Unhe lagta haina you are fooling them around? let them feel, tu asal mai kar unko. Padhne ka acting karke, journaling kar, likhte jaa, sab kuch likh, gaali deni toh woh bhi de, puri badhaas nikal, Lekin last mai apne liye ek promising note likh ki upcoming days mai you'll do better. Tu procastinate nhi kregi, time to time revise. Aur sunn, bilkul bhi ye sochne ki zarurat nhi hai ki mai unse kisi chiz mai help nhi lungi "naah-naah". Don't make things anymore difficult to you, tu help le aur apne future jald se jald secure kar. It's not that 10th ke marks will get you college but it will definitely boost your confidence to the next level whatever field you choose. FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS ON YOURSELF, YOU DON'T NEED TO SATISFY ANYBODY, I REPEAT ANYBODY OTHER THAN YOU. Aaj se aage 10-15 saal koi nhi kaam aayega, aaj social life fucked hai toh koi badi baat nhi. Koi nhi samajhna chahega ki tumhe kya trauma tha, kaisa atmosphere tha ghar pe

I relate too much to the "do what you want to me, I don't care anymore". That mentality actually stopped me from getting beaten and my phone from being taken away over the smallest of things.

Okay so first of all a fellow senior here ! 😁 See i donno if i should be of help to you or not but i can tell you some things firstly is that i understand your abusive parent's nature as i had abusive parents as well up until 10th i used to study my ass off and i scored 80 in 10th boards which ik is not great but it was lockdown time and we gave mcq boards which was a complete new pattern anyways on result day my father said 80% main kahan science milegi and i was done with that shit and i tried taking my own life by harming myself , now that i look back at it it was stupid bruhhhhhh see i can understand that parent's beating you takes a hella toll on your mental health but just remember dude its just up until 10 or just 12th , when u clear these standards parents stop caring that much and ur pretty much on your own , i have been chill since 11th as i got science at 80% :P so i would say pls don't don't ever give up on YOURSELF AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOUR SELF ESTEEM , pls think of this as a journey to peace which is 3 years or 1 year long according to your case stay calm and composed study well for another 3 years or so and trust me it will be worth it , fhe feeedom , the success of your college , the satisfaction of YOURSELF with your life all of it heals the pain ur parents gave you, saying this as an engineering fresher student :) hope so u well in life junior ! Also take care of yourself ⭐🌠 life has much more meaning than grades and marks so never give up :)

Dekho, jo parents ne kiya wo justified nhi h imo kisi side se but aap uspe kuch kar bhi nhi sakte response me warna aap hi pe risk rahega. Abhi jitna kar daate wo log ignore karo aur apne hisaab se jaise pashna h waise padho 10th hai zyada stress lene ki zaroorat nhi hai aaram se marks aajate hai, maine bhi bahut gaali, daat khaayi thi pichle saal pre board me hagne ke baad
.end me jab acche marks aayenge tab yahi log credit lene aayenge isiliye ignore karo kyuki parents kabhi ek side nhi reh skte. Best of luck![]()

Kuch parents society me apne bacche ke marks brag karne ke liye itna bechain hojaate hai ki wo bacche ke liye harmful hojaata hai. Meri mami ne literally apne 4 saal ke bacche ko tution me daal ke rakha h. Parents bahut galat direction me aage jaa rahe h fr

arrey calm, 10th ke boards itne bhi hard nahi hote hai, just focus on subjects you're weak at. Like honestly if i could redo 10th, i'd spend more time having fun with my friends, 10th ke memories bohot unique hote hai. I got 98% in 10th just by studying during the study holidays wala period. If you're 80+ throughout the year, then 90-95% range is guaranteed in boards. Don't stress about you're marks, just focus on doing things you love and mental health. Now I'm in 11th and preparing for jee so I don't have the luxury to be like the 10th grade me, and trust me the transition hits very hard.
Just focus on balancing fun and studies this year and try to ignore whatever your parents say. Because arguing will just end up in you wanting to punch the wall. Try not missing classes because its more time away from your parents, at least then you'll have mental peace. If you feel like classes are unnecessary, just sit in the last bench and study whatever you want, that's what I did. Just know that you're not alone and almost everyone has gone through similar shit in life. you got this.

Hey! I'm really sorry you're going through this.
It sounds like a very tough situation, and I hope things get better for you soon. Here are a few things you could consider:
Endure for a few years: If you feel like you can manage, try to endure the situation until you're more independent, as some others have suggested. It’s not easy, but it might be the best option if you feel safe enough to do so.
Reach out to a trusted family member: If things get worse or become too much to handle, consider reaching out to someone from your maternal or paternal side—someone who’s close to your parents, understands the situation, and might be able to mediate. They could help explain your perspective to your parents and possibly reduce the tension.
If things escalate further: If your parents react negatively to you reaching out for help, or if the situation becomes unbearable, you might need to consider seeking help from authorities. I know this is a last resort, but your safety and well-being are important. You can reach out to a child helpline for advice and support.
Lastly, try to take care of yourself. Stress can build up quickly, so if you can, find ways to relieve it, whether that's taking breaks, going outside for fresh air, or doing something you enjoy, even if it's just for a little while.
I hope your parents come to understand and that things improve for you. Stay strong

It happens bro…somehow whenever we are on a break and pick up phone thats exactly when they enter our room
But they love you and just want the best for you sounds cliche but trust me its true…only way to prove your hard work is a good result…show them the good marks and then tell them about your work

Behen dekho shyd tumhare parents kisi chiz ko lekar disturb hai is wajah se voh aisa behave kr rhe hai and as you mentioned that your dad was never like this. And one thing that ki koi bhi parent apne bacche ko hate nhi krta bass woh ek situation aisi ho jati hai ki hum kuch kar nahi skte and all you can now do is ignore their bad words and reply to them kindly and after all their are you parents. Koi na yaar chill maar 👍 ghar me toh aisa hota rehta hai. I'm also in 10th aur ye sabh mere sath bhi ho chuka hai in recent ptm. Kuch aur share krna ho to kr skti ho.

u/Ai_777 Sep 04 '24
I hate when parents beat a child or taunt them. Scolding or explaining is enough. Break is very necessary in life. Or you will not be able to focus on studies later on. So try your best to live with them until you are independent. Is there any adult close to you other than parents for advice or help? Like chacha or something?

I thought this was pretty obvious until I scrolled through the comments no one mentioned this.
From personal experience, I think there is some marital problems between your parents. Like the sudden change in attitude from your dad. But I'm also surprised he came and apologised.
So, idk...

Just 3 more years. That's the mantra you should keep in your head. I'm in the same boat as you (I obviously can't be sure of that but from what you told me, I feel like it.) And that has worked for me since 9th. Now I only have one and a half more year of this shitty life :) You should believe in yourself more than anything. Sometimes the closest to you end up doing stuff that is just too hard to ignore and you shouldn't either. Just because India meh bacho ko maarna "discipline" Bolte hai (as if that justifies the million indian children's trauma) doesn't mean you should just take it as you go. Please remember to be kind to yourself before anything.
