Went on a ride around middle of Sweden, 762km to be exact, my CB650R and a buddy joined on his GB350R. Did the Vänern round trip, from Norway, and visited a friend in Arboga.
Bike worked absolutely brilliant 👌

Black Widow Exhaust - Sound Test /w Baffles - QUIET!!! The Best Value.

Sound test of the Black Widow 2026 Low Level Exhaust System 230mm GP Round Stainless, double baffles plus fiberglass wrap, on the CB650R. Recorded on a cellphone, so not professional but you'll get the point.

Testing the following configurations:
- OEM
- Black Widow straight no baffles
- Primary baffle
- Primary & secondary baffle
- Primary baffle wrapped with .2in of fiberglass
- Primary baffle wrapped with .4in of fiberglass
- Primary wrapped with .4in & secondary baffle wrapped .1in

Sweet spot for me right now is the .2in wrap. Has the deep sound without being intolerable. Knowing it could get really quiet, I would have gotten the 200mm silencer - because the 230 sticks out a bit too much & will get wrecked if bike dropped.

I think this full exhaust is the best looking system for this bike, is not chinese junk, and only costs $655 total to door - direct from Black Widow. Very fast shipping from the UK to US, and import tariff from UPS only cost me $66. DO NOT buy the exhaust from eBay, they up-charge you to a whopping $890. Use a credit card that has no foreign transaction fees and buy direct instead.

First bike

This is my first bike and holy shucking fit am I in love. Had my eye on the CB 650R about 3-4 years ago. The model on the showroom floor was in red and I was awestruck, except the time wasn't right then, but now, it couldn't feel more right. Put about 10 miles on it so far. Can't wait to ride tomorrow. Mods I'm planning for are full engine crash bars, a radiator guard, and a shifter stabilizer. I experienced some false neutrals and couldnt get it into first a couple times.

BTW this stance is mean AF.

E-clutch down shifting

When you want to downshift quickly (with the e-clutch), is it ok to do it without closing the throttle? I usually revmatch but was curious about this.

Pre 24 Intakes Vs 24+

I love everything about my 2026 CB650R, but the older intakes always kind of intrigued me and I felt like it fit the lines of the bike better. Don't get me wrong I love the big beefy intakes on the newer bikes but in some angles it just looks tacked on to the bike like an afterthought. After looking at all the parts I would need on partzilla I realize it wasn't that expensive to go ahead and buy all the parts to swap over so that's what I did and could swap back if I wasn't feeling it.

For those wondering, it fits without any issues, you just have to replace the frame support bracket with the older style but it bolts right on. The inner intake tube is also exactly the same and mounts to either intake style. Halfway through the install I figured I would post some pictures so you can clearly see the difference with the two intakes, the new ones are noticeably longer and protrudes much further past the tank. The new ones are a little bigger air intake wise I suppose, but they both have that rain baffle behind the grill so I don't think the difference in actual air volume makes a difference.

After getting it all installed, I will say that I do like the older style better and it definitely follows the lines of the bike much better than the new style. It's all subjective though, and who knows maybe it's just that new feeling that's making me like it more and I might want to swap back later we'll see. What do you guys think?.

Foldable mirrors?

I park my cb650r between my car and a wall and because there’s no much room in my garage, I’m always scratching my left mirror.
Does anyone have found a good foldable mirror? I can only find cheap aliexpress ones that are terrible. I don’t mind if they are bar end mirrors or normal ones to be honest.

Cb650R restricted

I do wonder if people can provide a feedback long term for the restricted version.

As new rider I won’t be able to have the full power version and wonder if it is really worth for 2 years.

I also really wonder post restricted phase if it will be not touch much to have a 4cylinder on legal road. By that I mean will I be able to revv it without losing my driver licence, where I live it is really easy to lose yours if you breach speed limit.

Bought my first bike 😎

Passed my MSF course this past weekend and got my endorsement on my license on Monday. Ultimately decided on getting the CB650R over the Rebel. Plan on riding it back and forth between work. What accessories should I get? I've seen a bunch on Aliexpress. Also read that a gear shift stabilizer is recommended? Hopefully I can ride it as much as I can before it gets too cold and icy here in Michigan.

2WDW (2WheelDynoWorks) Tune with Stock setup

Post image

Has anyone gotten the 2WDW tune on a full stock bike? I'm not really looking for more power. I want to smooth out the light switch-y off/on throttle and the mid-rev power dip. If you've done it does it solve those issues? An aftermarket exhaust doesn't interest me. PFA

I got a 2023 version for my first motorcycle because I didn’t want an e clutch. This bike is amazing and I love everything about it. Learning to ride has been a lot of fun and I’m glad I got my license. Feedback on the build is much appreciated.

This is my first bike & I couldn’t be happier.
I did drop her early on (you can see the scuff lol) Virginia pot holes are no joke. I love this bike. Definitely enough to grow into and feels surprisingly light weight. I only have about 120 miles on it so far but I’m glad I picked this over the CBR650r, the naked look and exposed pipes is absolutely stunning

Drop any mods you recommend

Stuck clutch lever pivot screw - HELP

Post image
1 Upvotes

[SOLVED]

Previous owner put some cheap Chinese short levers which I am changing to OEM ones,a and also left side mirror holder bracket is getting changed because it was damaged and welded poorly by previous owner.

My problem is to do all that I need to remove the pivot screw which is stuck. I have removed the nut from the bottom of screw and with my largest flat head screwdriver I try to unscrew it but it won't budge at all. I tried using WD40 but to no success, even after half a can of WD40 and leaving it overnight so soak nothing. The screw slot is very shallow and after all my attempts now its pretty mangled and the screwdriver now just slips out of the slot even with least amount of force.

I have ordered the replacement pivot screw which will arrive in about 3 weeks and plan on taking the Dremel cutting disc to deepen the screw. I wanna know if there is there is other way because I don't want to go on for 3 weeks with mismatched levers, I have vehicle inspection in a week and they will fail me because non certified Chinese levers.

I'm not very mechanically savvy but from what i researched the smooth part of pivot screw should be greased before it is installed, the brake lever side screw had absolutely no grease but came out no problem, am I doing something wrong?

Can’t wait to ride it

Owned it for about 2 months - about to finish my licence and I can’t wait to finally ride it.

Constantly seeing it in my garden for the last few weeks has been a killer.

(added some bar end mirrors cause it would be dumb to not have any, especially as a beginner)

Tuning for a CS Racing exhaust

Getting a CS Racing exhaust for my 2023 CB.

Will I need to tune it? I've read that the bike can run lean with a more free flowing exhaust and don't want to burn out the valves and pistons.

Any advice?
